The best thing about Woocommerce is its ease of use, its ease of integration with thousands of plugins, the ease of implementation, and that its use is free. **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mario C. | Diseñador web, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2023

**What do you like best about WooCommerce?**

I love the simplicity of the plugin and the multiple options for both customization and design. It's free, and if you combine it with a cool WordPress template, the potential is enormous. Additionally, all the integration possibilities with other apps like Mailchimp or payment gateways are appreciated. A highly recommended option if you want to set up your own store and be up and running in a few days.

**What do you dislike about WooCommerce?**

In its most basic version, without relying on paid themes or anything, I might miss more design options regarding the "on sale", "sold", etc. notices. Although this design issue is closely tied to the theme you have installed in WordPress, as mentioned, perhaps it could be improved a bit there. Then, if you want to have a store without a cart, for whatever reason, it is a bit cumbersome to remove all those "cart", "buy", etc. options... you have to remove them from three or four different places.

**What problems is WooCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me the possibility to create my own professional online store without having to look for a programmer. And if you are a web designer, this reduces the costs in projects of this type, making you competitive against agencies with programming departments.

Additionally, setting up and configuring advanced features can be daunting for those with limited technical knowledge. Lastly, occasional compatibility issues between WooCommerce and certain WordPress themes or plugins have been reported, requiring troubleshooting.

It benefits businesses by offering a cost-effective solution for setting up an e-commerce presence, enabling them to reach a wider audience and sell products online. We tried multiple plugins on our wordpress website to get a payment model working till we came across WooCommerce. Unlike our previous plugins, WooCommerce was offered as a free plugin for WordPress. It simplified the process of setting up our e-commerce model and also reduced the time and resources that went into mainenance. There are a ton of customization options to let us match the online store with our branding. We have also received very positive feedback from the customers and they have expressed their confidence in the secure payment gateways. Trust goes a long way in business and WooCommerce nailed that!

  ### 27. WooCommerce: An essential tool for e-commerce

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Javier F. | CEO, Administrator, Webmaster, Community Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2023

**What do you like best about WooCommerce?**

WooCommerce is, without a doubt, one of the best e-commerce platforms I have used. Its seamless integration with WordPress is a great advantage, allowing users like me to create and customize our store with ease. The variety of available extensions is impressive, which allows me to add additional functionalities according to the needs of my business. Moreover, its user interface is intuitive and easy to use, making the management of products and orders a simple process. In terms of scalability, WooCommerce is excellent, as it can handle both small and large stores. I have tried PrestaShop and Magento and, although they may be visually more appealing, WooCommerce is a thousand times easier to install and manage.

**What do you dislike about WooCommerce?**

For beginners, the learning curve can be quite steep, especially if they are not familiar with WordPress, but as I say, in other alternatives as well. Although there are many extensions available, many of them are not free, which can increase expenses. Additionally, although WooCommerce itself is quite fast, the speed of your store can be affected if you use many extensions or if your hosting is not optimized for WooCommerce, although practically all of them are. Finally, although technical support is helpful, it can sometimes be slow, which can be frustrating when you are facing an urgent problem.

**What problems is WooCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Woocommerce allows anyone with little experience to have an online store. Additionally, you can customize it to the max, it is easy to use especially if you know WordPress, it is fully scalable and integrates with many applications, which makes it a very powerful option and my favorite.

When it comes to creating and managing your own online shop, WooCommerce stands tall as the gold standard in the world of e-commerce. As a powerful and versatile plugin for WordPress, WooCommerce offers a wide range of features and customization options that empower entrepreneurs and businesses to build their online stores with ease.

One of the most impressive aspects of WooCommerce is its user-friendly nature. Even those without advanced technical skills can navigate the platform comfortably and set up their online shops effortlessly. The installation process is straightforward, and with the help of intuitive wizards, users can quickly configure their stores, choose themes, and add products in a matter of minutes.

WooCommerce's greatest strength lies in its extensive range of extensions and plugins. These robust add-ons provide a wealth of functionalities, allowing users to customize their stores to suit their specific needs. Whether it's integrating payment gateways, managing inventory, implementing shipping options, or setting up subscription services, WooCommerce offers a vast selection of tools to enhance the shopping experience for both store owners and customers.

Another remarkable feature of WooCommerce is its scalability. From small independent ventures to large enterprises, the platform adapts seamlessly to the growth of your business. With its flexible architecture and compatibility with numerous themes and plugins, WooCommerce allows you to expand your store's capabilities as your customer base increases and your requirements evolve.

  ### 35. The Ultimate E-commerce Solution for WordPress

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David S. | CEO/Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2023

**What do you like best about WooCommerce?**

WooCommerce is a highly customizable and user-friendly platform that seamlessly integrates with WordPress, making it easy to set up and manage an online store without needing any technical expertise. I also love that it has a vast library of free and premium plugins and extensions that allow me to add advanced features and functionality to my store.

**What do you dislike about WooCommerce?**

One of the few downsides of WooCommerce is that it can be resource-intensive, especially when running on a shared hosting server. Woo can slow down the website's performance, which can be frustrating for users. However, this can be mitigated by getting a dedicated hosting plan or optimizing the WooCommerce store.

**What problems is WooCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Woo to reach our D2C/B2C customers, which highly increases profits and allows us to present a new face to the clients: our service attitude, brand values and added value! We are walking towards a path were e-commerce will become our main channel, and Woo is powering up that strategy.

  ### 36. Perfect ecommerce for small and medium-sized businesses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Montserrat F. | Consultora y gestora de proyectos de Web | Marketing online | SEO Strategy , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2023

**What do you like best about WooCommerce?**

I am an eCommerce implementer with both WooCommerce and Prestashop. For us, WooCommerce is more versatile due to its easy user learning curve and the ability to design custom product pages with current builders. It works well with up to 50,000 products, tested with our installations and their variations, although officially it would support 200,000 products. However, for these, we prefer to use Prestashop even though it is more restrictive in design.

**What do you dislike about WooCommerce?**

It is sometimes a bit unstable as it depends on WordPress in the background, so you have to be very well informed about the releases to know what changes affect it to be sure, since being an ecommerce we can lose the latest orders after a problem. Normally, having experience in implementation, we do not install the new versions until some time after they have been thoroughly tested and in a staging environment.

**What problems is WooCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is the easiest Ecommerce solution to implement in terms of time and costs. That's why it is presented in budgets for small and medium-sized businesses. The plugins are more economical than in Prestashop, so platform updates are not as costly for adding new functionalities.

One of the things we like and appreciate most about WooCommerce is the ability to automate promotion and sales processes with remarkable ease. We use it to promote and sell products, which works very well with WordPress e-commerce websites. Another valuable capability we found using WooCommerce is that it makes it easy to track online sales, manage inventory, and generate reports. It makes it much easier to process customer orders through our e-commerce platform and even facilitates checkout.

**What do you dislike about WooCommerce?**

The base is good to start with, but as you use it, there is a need to purchase add-ons that inflate the price of the license, which ends up being a bit costly. It is also important to note that it may depend on other add-ons.

**What problems is WooCommerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our experience with WooCommerce, in general, has been excellent; it has allowed us to automate online sales processes, promotions, customer acquisition and conversions to leads. It is compatible with many integrations, among which WordPress is one of the most important for us. It fits efficiently with the web pages' needs, it is highly customizable, and the payment management it integrates is complete.
