Recommendations to others considering Wondershare Filmora:
Filmora doesn't do all the things that some other more extensive (and expensive) programs do, but they provide some great effects you can use with another program like Camtasia. It is not really intuitive to learn, but the tutorials are great. They are making more and more YouTube tutorials on their product. In fact, they have a playlist you can binge watch that is good. You can buy additional effects in their store and they often have sales. I don't like that you can't have any empty space on the timeline. So I can't move clips out of the way and around like I would in Camtasia. Also, some of the features - like background clips, have limited availability to change the colors to suit my needs. However, I've made some very cool intros and outros with Filmora. I would probably use it more if I dedicated some hours to learning it, but usually when I'm ready to use it, I just need something fast and good looking. It can do some slick things like transitions, light leaks, title appears, and more. I have purchased quite a few additional packages to add on to my base Filmora.
