As a professional speaker and frequent conference attendee, I’ve used many event apps over the years, and Whova is easily the best conference platform I’ve experienced.

What stood out most to me is how intentionally the app creates opportunities for genuine connection. Attendees can participate in polls and surveys, start conversations and social groups, create or join meetups, ask questions about sessions, message other participants, and connect with people who share similar professional interests. Whova also incorporates gamification through leaderboards and engagement-based contests, which adds a fun, competitive element while encouraging people to get more involved in the overall conference experience.

I attend a significant number of conferences each year, both as a speaker and as an attendee, and I can confidently say I met more new people and had more meaningful interactions at this conference than I typically do at any single event. I credit a great deal of that to Whova. Instead of networking being limited to whoever happens to sit next to you or who you run into during a reception, the app makes it easy to identify the right people, start conversations, organize meetups, and keep building relationships throughout the conference. Whova’s attendee profiles, matchmaking, messaging, and meeting-scheduling tools really reinforce that experience.

From a speaker’s perspective, I also value the professional visibility the platform creates. Having a robust profile within the conference environment gives attendees a chance to learn more about you—your background and areas of expertise—beyond the few minutes you may have together during a session. That continued visibility and connectivity can lead to future conversations and future events.

For me, the greatest compliment I can give Whova is that it didn’t simply help me navigate a conference; it helped me experience the conference differently.
