What do you like best about WhisperTranscribe?

I use WhisperTranscribe on both my laptop and desktop, downloaded through SetApp but powered by my own OpenAI API key, and it works beautifully.

I primarily use it to transcribe meeting recordings, and it’s completely streamlined my workflow. What used to take multiple steps (record the meeting, upload it elsewhere, drop the transcript into a CustomGPT) now takes one. Just record, transcribe, choose your output, and start creating content.

What I really appreciate is the flexibility. WhisperTranscribe gives you a transcript and helps you shape that raw content into usable material, like social media posts, summaries, and quotes. For anyone doing regular content creation, especially social media, this saves so much time.

The app supports speaker labeling when you import transcripts (like from Google Meet), which is great. But if you record directly within the app, you won’t get speaker labels, naturally.

This is one of those rare apps that quietly makes your life easier. Highly recommend it for social media content creators, but honestly, if you work with audio, meetings, or big ideas, you’ll find it just as valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WhisperTranscribe?

Not really a dislike, but more of a wishlist item: I’d love the ability to save favorite podcasts instead of searching for them every time, and syncing across devices would be a dream. What problems is WhisperTranscribe solving and how is that benefiting you?

I used to record meetings in Apple Notes, which does transcribe, but the transcription was just a raw block of text. I’d still have to copy it into a Custom GPT to turn it into meaningful notes or usable content. That whole process added friction and took time I didn’t really have.

WhisperTranscribe solves that by giving me everything in one place: I record, it transcribes, and I can immediately start turning that into content. It cuts out the manual steps and makes the process feel seamless. Instead of cleaning up transcripts or jumping between tools, I get to focus on creating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
