Describe the project or task Vocus Communications helped with:

Vocus was imperative for trying to reach reporters and other thought leaders to get our stories published. It made looking at outlets very easy and I'm sure had even more tools to help manage who we contacted already for stories but I didn't take advantage of that. I mostly just used it to run search queries for the news outlets or journalists I needed to contact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Vocus Communications?

It was super easy to get information on anyone you needed. The information was clear and you usually didn't have to go digging beyond the regular search query that you searched for. it was nice to have everything from emails, phone numbers, to social pages all in one table. What do you dislike about Vocus Communications?

The information wasn't always up-to-date like we needed. There's a lot of turnover in the journalism industry (especially when I was using Vocus) so I can understand how hard it would be to do so. But at the same time, if the information isn't up-to-date, then it's useless. I would say this only happened on a minority of queries that I would run, but it was enough for me to remember it being a problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Vocus Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest benefit was getting contact information for journalists that I could not find otherwise. The benefits were immense in that it helped me get a direct line to the people I needed to speak to the most. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
