## Visual Lease Reviews
 ### 1. Powerful, Reliable Lease Accounting for Complex Portfolios

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohit K. | Senior Accountant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Visual Lease?**

Visual Lease is a strong lease accounting platform that’s best suited for mid-to-large organizations managing complex portfolios.

UI/UX: The interface is functional and data-rich, but it isn’t very intuitive at first. There’s a noticeable learning curve, especially for new users.

Integrations: It integrates well with major ERP systems, although setup may take extra effort and, in some cases, require customization.

Performance: Overall, it’s reliable and efficient, with occasional slowdowns when working with large datasets.

Pricing / ROI: Pricing is on the premium side, but it can deliver solid ROI through compliance support, automation, and reduced manual work.

Support / Onboarding: The support team is responsive. Onboarding can be time-intensive, depending on the complexity of your environment and portfolio.

AI / Intelligence: The AI capabilities are helpful for tasks like data extraction and surfacing insights, but they still feel more assistive than truly advanced.

**What do you dislike about Visual Lease?**

It can be a bit tricky to navigate and interact with the UI, especially for new users. It takes time and training to become comfortable with it. Accessing and navigating archived data is also difficult. In addition, fetching Visual Lease reports in the reporting currency (converted from the local currencies of different leases) sometimes doesn’t work.

**What problems is Visual Lease solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scattered data: Centralizes all lease information in one place, which helps reduce confusion and prevent errors.

Compliance complexity: Automates lease accounting to support compliance with standards such as ASC 840/842 and IFRS 16.

Manual workload: Cuts down repetitive calculations and minimizes manual data entry.

Missed deadlines: Tracks key dates and sends alerts to help avoid penalties.

Reporting errors: Improves accuracy through standardized financial reporting.

Audit readiness: Maintains clear audit trails and keeps reports organized and easy to access.

System gaps: Integrates with ERPs to reduce duplicate work and close process gaps.

Limited insights: Offers dashboards that provide clearer visibility for better lease-related decisions.

 ### 2. Streamlined Lease Management with Minor Hiccups

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bruno W. | Asset Manager, Real Estate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Visual Lease?**

I like how Visual Lease takes the chaos out of managing a stack of leases by keeping everything in one place rather than in scattered files. The automatic calculations really spare me from a lot of manual work and potential slip-ups. I have a clear view of what each lease costs us and deadlines that are coming up, which helps me make sharper decisions. I appreciate how it neatly organizes all leases into one always-current system, automating ASC 842 and IFRS 16 calculations and disclosures. The dashboards are really useful for pulling up the whole portfolio to see costs and upcoming dates at a glance. The audit-ready records mean I’m not scrambling to justify numbers to finance. Plus, how it flags critical lease dates ahead of time helps me act with leverage on renewals or renegotiations.

**What do you dislike about Visual Lease?**

It took me a while to find my feet with it, and the setup was heavier going than I'd bargained for. The interface can be clunky in spots, and once I'm digging through a larger portfolio it starts to drag. Anything beyond the basics tends to mean leaning on their support team rather than sorting it myself, and the reports don't always bend the way I want when I'm after a particular cut of the data. Tying it into our other systems took more elbow grease than I'd have liked too.

**What problems is Visual Lease solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Visual Lease to centralize all leases into one organized system, automating calculations and disclosures, and providing a clear view of costs and deadlines. It keeps my reporting accurate and helps me make informed decisions on property management.

 ### 3. Saves Time and Ensures Accuracy in Lease Accounting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gaston B. | Senior manager , Logistics and Supply Chain, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Visual Lease?**

I appreciate how Visual Lease saves my team countless hours by handling lease accounting flawlessly for all our leases. Its ability to crunch journal entries automatically is indispensable, as it spares us from dealing with error-prone spreadsheets and second-guessing our numbers. I also like that it serves as a comprehensive resource for every lease detail, making information easily accessible. The fact that it's helped us sail through two year-end audits with auditors praising the reporting it produces is a huge testament to its efficiency. Additionally, the amortization schedules and reporting templates provided by Visual Lease are major time-savers. Finally, the audit trail feature is incredibly useful when dealing with external auditors.

**What do you dislike about Visual Lease?**

Updates can occasionally feel a bit thorny, but the headache typically traces back to a one-off lease situation rather than the system itself.

**What problems is Visual Lease solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Visual Lease to handle lease accounting for 80 leases, replacing error-prone spreadsheets and saving my team time. It automates journal entries and streamlines audits, making it a crucial time-saver.

 ### 4. Simplifies Lease Accounting with Automation, Accurate Reporting, and Strong Analytics

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Commercial Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Visual Lease?**

What I like best about Visual Lease is its ability to simplify lease accounting and compliance through an intuitive platform. It combines automation, accurate reporting, and strong analytics, helping businesses save time and reduce risk. I also appreciate the company’s focus on innovation, customer success, and creating financial management solutions.

**What do you dislike about Visual Lease?**

One drawback of Visual Lease is that the platform can feel complex for new users, especially during setup and onboarding. Some features may require additional training to fully utilize, and customization options can occasionally make navigation less intuitive for teams seeking a simpler user experience.

**What problems is Visual Lease solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visual Lease solves the challenge of managing complex lease accounting, compliance, and reporting processes. It helps automate calculations, centralize lease data, and ensure compliance with standards like ASC 842 and IFRS 16. This benefits me by saving time, reducing manual errors, improving financial visibility, and making audits and reporting much more efficient.

 ### 5. Robust Tool, Challenging Initial Learning

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria Fernanda O. | Analista de Dados Contratuais, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Visual Lease?**

I use Visual Lease to capture essential data from lease contracts in just one place, such as the address, important dates, options, clauses, and values. What I like the most is the variety of fields for filling out, thus allowing for greater detail of each leased space. Additionally, the alert dates promote efficiency, making it unlikely for important dates to be forgotten.

**What do you dislike about Visual Lease?**

The 'expenses' field could be improved, as it would work better if there were a specific stream for each time period, with start date, end date, and value. Additionally, I would like the portal to have a specific field for 'options', with the option to place key dates in just one space and not within the 'clauses' tab. The initial setup of Visual Lease is difficult, being a complex platform to navigate at first, requiring specific training.

**What problems is Visual Lease solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Visual Lease to capture essential lease contract data in one place and view multiple leases in a single portal, which promotes greater efficiency in renewals and updates.

 ### 6. Great Implementation - Higher Education Institution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Visual Lease?**

I had a really great experience with our implementation lead, Tim Little, who was very clear in the way he described things and was patient with us. He was very good at anticipating some things we might need and answering questions before we even got there. I also found Visual Lease to be a very good system, with a cleaner setup compared to the system we were using previously. As an accountant, I really appreciate the lease accounting calculations for their accuracy and the flexibility it provides to help us match the accounting we've had so far.

**What do you dislike about Visual Lease?**

I think I really struggled with kind of knowing how to use the reports and whatnot. Something that could be a little bit better is the way that the entries are set up. The payments aren't easy to follow. We hired a third party to load in the leases and it did not go smoothly. They didn't do a great job.

**What problems is Visual Lease solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visual Lease is a cleaner system than our previous one. I like its calculation accuracy, and as an accountant, I value the flexibility it offers in lease accounting to match our existing records.

 ### 7. Visual Lease: Practical, Intuitive, and Worth the Investment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Visual Lease?**

It’s an extremely practical tool, efficient and reliable, especially when it comes to more detailed aspects, such as clauses. The fact that everything is of easy access and available on the same platform makes the work day-to-day life much easier. It is very intuitive and getting it set up was smooth. Out of all platforms I have used, it definitely is the one which is more worth the investment.

**What do you dislike about Visual Lease?**

In all honesty, I don’t have any specific criticism of Visual Lease. I’ve become very accustomed to it, and I find it easier to work in than other platforms.

**What problems is Visual Lease solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having all services available on a single platform and within one tab saves a lot of time when abstracting cases.

 ### 8. Good Overall, But Needs Improvement or better training to the final user.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hector V. | Corporate Tax & Compliance Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Visual Lease?**

When you have full functionality, it creates the GL entries and can automatically feed them into your ERP. It also provides all the necessary tools to manage assets, including leases, prepaid rent, and more.
It has a great design, could be hard to learn at the beginning but after that, it kinda guide you through the system

**What do you dislike about Visual Lease?**

When a lease ends before the contract term is complete, we are unable to recalculate without impacting the balances from the previous periods when the lease was still active. Additionally, we encounter problems with the calendar feature. Our company operates on a unique fiscal calendar, which causes a catch-up period in the VL calendar that eventually becomes misaligned with our actual fiscal dates. I believe the system could be much more user-friendly, and it would be helpful to have the ability to create custom reports.

**What problems is Visual Lease solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adopting the Lease standard has been much easier thanks to VL. It truly simplifies both compliance and our understanding of the standard, making it easier to grasp the balances and behavior of our leases.

 ### 9. Reliable Lease Accounting Tool with Excellent Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stella S. | Group Financial Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Visual Lease?**

There are a number of things that I like about Visual lease. I really like and find very useful the FASB report that gets generated for purposes of the leases note in the financials. This report saves me alot of time. I must also commend the support team who always manage to quickly resolve any queries we have or provide us with assistance where needed. They are knowledgeable of the product and friendly.

**What do you dislike about Visual Lease?**

What I dislike the most about Visual Lease is when a lease comes to an end, VL admin automatically changes its status from Active to Historical and as soon as the status has been changed to Historical, you cannot run any modifications to the captured lease. If a modification needs to be run on a lease with a Historical status, you need to recapture that lease which will remain Active for 24 hours (even if the lease end date has passed) but that allows you to capture the modification. This is time consuming.

**What problems is Visual Lease solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The lease accounting was a very manual process prior to implementing Visual Lease, which is prone to error. Visual Lease provides us with the lease schedule as well as lease journals for the whole lease term in the form of reports that are easily integrated into our monthly reporting. Within seconds, we are able to generate a consolidated FASB report of all leases that we require on a quarterly basis for the leases note in the financials, and that saves us alot of time.

 ### 10. Intuitive Interface and Robust Compliance Make Lease Management Effortless

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sai K. | Senior Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Visual Lease?**

Its intuitive and user-friendly interface, which makes managing lease data simple and efficient. The platform provides strong compliance support, especially for ASC 842 / IFRS 16 requirements, and offers clear reporting that helps in audits and financial reviews. I also appreciate the responsiveness of the support team and the system’s flexibility in handling complex lease scenarios, which adds significant value to day-to-day lease administration.

**What do you dislike about Visual Lease?**

There’s nothing significant to dislike about Visual Lease. That said, the experience could be even better with a more seamless, direct integration with NetSuite, which would further streamline data flow and reduce manual intervention.

**What problems is Visual Lease solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Challenge of managing complex lease portfolios while ensuring compliance with accounting standards such as ASC 842 and IFRS 16. It centralizes all lease data, automates calculations, and provides accurate reports for audits and financial close. This significantly reduces manual effort, minimizes errors, and improves visibility, allowing us to focus more on analysis and decision-making rather than administrative tasks.
