What do you like best about Virtel Web Access?

Effectively moves tn3270 client processing into standard web browsers, eliminating need for desktop applications managed on several thousand users' machines.

Very responsive customer support as needed.

What do you dislike about Virtel Web Access?

Our use is limited to its web-based tn3270 terminal emulation, and we have no general complaints about that functionality.

We had one "failed" upgrade that limited throughput under load; we backed it out, and working with Virtel support were able to resolve the issues and later successfully upgraded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Virtel Web Access solving and how is that benefiting you?

The primary driver for us was eliminating specialized (and harder to find, especially for Macs) desktop software. It was a burden on our desktop support teams on campus to manage those installations for the percentage of staff requiring mainframe/tn3270 access. Further, security teams prefer to restrict desktop software to limited, enterprise-level applications with strong support.
