"A great media source for quality promotion"

4/5

What do you like best about Vimeo?

The most helpful aspect is the ability to download videos and create private videos for certain company members to access. People are familiar with it and it does not have the baggage and scandal attached to it that YouTube does. I personally would prefer to use anything other than YouTube because of its lack of control over heinous activity that preys on minors and vulnerable users. Unless YouTube changes to make its resources safer and more secure, I want to try any other video resource before I have to use YouTube. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vimeo?

I dislike the search feature. It seems more complicated to find what I'm looking for compared to other media sources. Unfortunately, because of YouTube's popularity, it has so many more videos and it is easier to find what I am looking for there at times, but I still prefer not to use it. I would like to see Vimeo compete with YouTube more to be a safer and more user-friendly version of media. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Vimeo:

Vimeo is a great resource that looks clean and professional compared to other video upload/download sources. I would definitely recommend that other NGOs utilize this resource as it is well known and trusted. I think people see YouTube as trashy, especially donors, with all the cluttered ads and annotations on screens. Vimeo has a much better clean feel to it, similar to what Apple accomplishes in their simplicity and cleanliness in their products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Vimeo solving and how is that benefiting you?

Vimeo has provided media for my organization to mass produce a message in creative ways that otherwise couldn't be done well. It is a quality resource that is trusted as professional and has legitimized our programs in many ways. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
