What do you like best about Vevox?

There are so many different ways of getting students involved - from wordclouds to multiple-choice, even a Pin on Image option which I use as a sorting activity. It is really intuitive and easy to use - I use it with my students several times a week, never getting bored because of the options, and I also spend time within my role at the university showing colleagues how Vevox works and they always go away enthused and full of ideas as to how they can use it with their students.

The students really enjoy it because of the range of activities and also because they don't have to create accounts and give over any personal information; at our university, we use Microsoft Teams and we can embed the Vevox activity within the module team so that students don't even have to go hunting for Vevox on their phones.

It can also sit within PowerPoint so you can operate it directly from your presentation rather than having to exit and go to a separate web page!

Not only that, but you can edit and re-use past polls and so you never have to spend time reinventing the wheel.

To be honest, I've only once had to contact customer service, but they were charming and helpful AND were able to answer my question - what a change from some support desks! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

How to get your students to engage with questions? And in way that makes them think? How do you make sure they are all taking part? and how do you check their learning and make sure that they are all enga? By enabling me to design a range of different activities it means that my students never get bored and I can see that they are all taking part and can check on their status. All in one easy place! "Engaging, Anxiety-Free Classes with Seamless Quiz Integration"

What do you like best about Vevox?

I appreciate being able to create interactive classes and how seamlessly the quizzes are integrated into the PowerPoints. My students are impressed by the way the correct answer is displayed. I also value that the platform is anonymous, not time-based, and doesn't highlight wrong answers with a red light. This really helps reduce students' anxiety and makes them feel more comfortable participating. I enjoy the variety of quizzes available—not just multiple choice, but also options like pinning on images or guessing a number. It is very easy to impement and reuse in following years. I also love that I can collect data about participation and identify muddy points during the class. The customer support is amazing, the Vevox team has alwways solved my issues and taken into consideration my feedback. I use in on all my classes in my three courses at DTU. What do you dislike about Vevox?

The integration with PowerPoint occasionally glitches, especially when the titles are a bit long. It also takes some time to teach students the difference between quizzes and surveys, but overall, the effort is worthwhile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I teach in very large classes (>150 students) where interaction with the teacher is complicated and keeping the focus in the class can be a challenge. Vevox is very easy to implement as every student carries phone, computer or both, and they get to chat with their colleagues about which answer they submit. Vevox has made meetings and events much more interactive and enjoyable for me. Rather than sitting through lengthy, one-sided sessions, I’ve found that it encourages engaging discussions by using live quizzes and polls. Its seamless integration with Microsoft Teams and PowerPoint makes setup straightforward and saves a significant amount of time. Personally, I’ve found it especially helpful during hackathons, festivals, and technical meetings, as it keeps everyone involved, adds energy to the sessions, and provides instant, detailed reports from the quizzes. "Interactive, focused and easy"

What do you like best about Vevox?

I like the variety of options we can use in teaching or engagements with varying group sizes to gain immediate, focused and easy to understand data in real time. I used it recently with a class of 250 students in a Tertiary education space and was able to not only gain immediate input from multiple people, but also use the easily displayed input to encourage critical discussion on the topic we were covering (which was on health systems in New Zealand). What do you dislike about Vevox?

I would like to see a feature that gamifies the input - there are times when gaining the data from tertiary students also requires a small amount of energy and enthusiasm. What do you like best about Vevox?

I use Vevox to facilitate interaction and engagement with staff development during my training sessions at the university. I particularly like the variety of question types it offers, which cater to diverse needs and preferences. Creating polls, including asynchronous ones, is extremely straightforward, making it easy to involve everyone. The presence of features like the present view, leader board, and timer keeps students engaged and makes the sessions more interactive. Additionally, the initial setup was seamless, especially with the ease of logging in through Microsoft, which enhances the user experience by simplifying access. "Teaching Through Data: Creative Uses of Vevox in the Classroom"

What do you like best about Vevox?

Vevox has become an essential part of my teaching toolkit. What I love most is how versatile it is—I’ve used it in all sorts of creative ways, especially to help students develop analytical thinking. One of my favourite approaches is using live polls to collect data from the class in real time. We then display the results and analyse them together, which opens up rich discussions about patterns, outliers, and interpretation. For example, I used Vevox to scaffold a class about sex education, and students were fascinated to see how their peers rated their comfort with the topic and the sex education they had received at school. The polls stimulated a rich discussion about the politics of sex education. Students are more engaged when they see their own responses reflected in the data, and the anonymity feature helps ensure everyone feels safe contributing.

I also use Vevox for a "pub quiz" style review at the end of semester. In teams, students compete to lock in the correct answer and score points. It's a great way to facilitate exam prep while concluding the module with a fun social activity.

While I really value Vevox and use it regularly, I would like to have the option of displaying survey data in the same way we can display live poll results. Vevox is solving several key challenges I face in the classroom—especially around student engagement, inclusivity, and real-time data literacy. One of the biggest problems it addresses is how to get every student involved in discussions, not just the most confident or vocal ones. The anonymity feature is a game-changer here—it creates a safer space for students to share their thoughts, questions, and opinions without fear of judgment.

It also solves the problem of making abstract analytical skills more concrete. By using Vevox polls to collect live data from the class, I can immediately visualise that data and guide students through the process of interpreting it together. This turns passive learning into active, collaborative inquiry and helps students see themselves as knowledge producers. And students love it - Vevox consistently comes up as one of their favourite aspects of the course in evaluations.
