"Flexible Live Polling and Surveys with Fast, App-Free Audience Feedback"
4/5
What do you like best about Vevox?

I really enjoy how flexible Vevox is for both live audience polling and post-event surveys, which fits perfectly with my market research work at Bright Horizon Marketing Stuttgart. My clients often host hybrid workshops and product focus groups, and Vevox lets me collect honest feedback in real time without asking participants to download any app. They just join via a simple web link on their phones or laptops.

A great example was a recent brand perception workshop we ran for a local German retail client. We brought together both in-person attendees and remote participants. I set up live polls, word clouds and open-text questions inside Vevox. As participants submitted answers, the results popped up instantly on screen. This kept the session engaging and encouraged quieter attendees to share their thoughts anonymously. We captured immediate reactions to new product concepts, which I could not easily get from standard static surveys.

I also love that I can combine live polling data with longer follow-up surveys within the same project. Once the workshop wrapped up, I sent participants a short survey through Vevox to dive deeper into their preferences. All responses sit in one place, so I don’t need to merge datasets from separate tools. The built-in reporting dashboard lets me filter results quickly and export clean data for our marketing strategy reports.

The anonymous response option is another huge plus. When asking sensitive questions about brand weaknesses, people are far more willing to give genuine opinions. This gives us richer, more reliable insights. The whole platform is intuitive; I can build and test polls and surveys by myself in under an hour. It saves me a lot of time and helps us gather actionable audience insights faster for our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vevox?

What I dislike about Vevox is its limited deep analytics for market research work and the clunky PowerPoint add-in during live hybrid sessions. When I ran that retail brand workshop in Stuttgart, I ran into multiple small but annoying issues. The PowerPoint plugin sometimes fails to load the poll slides properly mid-presentation, forcing me to switch browser tabs to launch Vevox manually, which broke the flow of the focus group.

On top of that, the built-in reporting only gives basic counts and simple word cloud outputs. It lacks native sentiment analysis for open-text responses. After collecting all participant comments, I still need to export raw data and manually review every written answer to sort opinions, which adds a lot of extra work for my market research reports. There is no native API either, so I cannot auto-sync collected survey data directly into our analytics spreadsheet; I have to manually import CSV files every time.

German character support is another minor but recurring headache. Occasionally, umlauts in participants’ open comments get messed up after export. Since many of our local respondents write in German, I spend extra time cleaning up text before sharing insights with clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
