"Efficient OCR, But Needs Stronger German Integration"

What do you like best about Veryfi?

I find Veryfi’s highly precise line-item AI OCR very valuable, as it reliably pulls German VAT amounts, invoice IDs, and full itemized costs even from faded, crumpled receipts. This feature significantly reduces the hours of manual typing we used to do every month-end. I also appreciate the immutable timestamped activity logs, which are indispensable for GoBD audits. Every upload, edit, and export is fully traceable, making compiling tax office-ready archives much smoother. The mobile capture tool is another feature I like, allowing clients to snap documents on-site and send them directly to our workspace, which cuts delays in collecting financial records, especially for our SME clients across Hamburg. What do you dislike about Veryfi?

Veryfi lacks native preconfigured rule sets aligned with strict German GoBD retention and immutability standards. Its default export formats require heavy manual reformatting to match tax office archive requirements, and there's no built-in automated document locking to fully satisfy auditors without extra workarounds. Native integration with common German ERP and bookkeeping software is limited, forcing tedious CSV data transfers, and it cannot auto-apply mandatory German e-invoicing validation rules.
