It's easy to pull different lists if you know what information you are looking for, and it's simple to make slight changes and then save queries to your personal or group workspaces. **What do you dislike about Veracross?** Sometimes the vast amount of information can be overwhelming and pulling more complex queries gets complicated. I also wish you could simply search for users instead of having to pull a find people query. **What problems is Veracross solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Veracross to track constituent and student information, pull reports, and create event registration forms. It manages large amounts of information, making querying easy, and allows saving queries for personal or group workspaces. ### 2. It makes tracking academic progress, schedules, and parent/student communication much smoother and keeps key data easy to access and manage. **What do you dislike about Veracross?** What I dislike about Veracross is the large learning curve. With so many features and modules, it takes time to fully understand the system and use it efficiently. **What problems is Veracross solving and how is that benefiting you?** Veracross solves the problem of managing student, academic, and administrative data across multiple systems. By centralizing everything in one platform, it improves accuracy, reduces manual work, and makes it easier to access consistent information, which saves time and supports better communication and decision-making. ### 4. The support process is simple, typically with a very quick response time. And, I feel like not only do I get a resolution to my issue, but I learn something new that helps my everyday Veracross work each time I work with a support consultant. **What do you dislike about Veracross?** The hardest or most frustrating part of Veracross is that it's such a vast platform, and it's taking so much time to become experts in our implementation. I have shared with Veracross that their implementation and data migration process is quite good. However, it's the next steps that are lacking. As in, "you're all set and implemented, now go ahead and start using Veracross". I had to hire an outside consultant who specialized in Veracross to help get my school truly up and running during our first year of being live on Veracross. **What problems is Veracross solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has allowed me to bring our entire campus (SIS, admission, business office, development, etc) onto one system. ### 5. Veracross is user friendly **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Kaylee P. | Database Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2025 **What do you like best about Veracross?** Modern look Support Resources Versatility of query functions Ability to batch update with queries Ability to save a URL for a query & share the same results with other users Usefulness of profile codes Ability to add elements and links to portals Portals easy to use for Faculty & Parents **What do you dislike about Veracross?** No easy way to contact someone for immediate support & no phone number to call Limited ability to integrate with other platforms Limitations with security roles Recipients getting added to bounce list and getting stuck on the suppression list Teachers unable to batch add grades in teacher portal Unable to create custom forms Limited functionality with ‘Other Programs’ module: Titan HST uses the old legacy API which does not include program families; cannot complete manual payments on behalf of families; no autopay function; unable to create a portal specific to this group; registration forms cannot be customized; etc Limited functionality with directories - unable to create a ‘Future Families’ Directory Unable to schedule recurring emails through Composer by selecting multiple dates or in a quick ‘copy & paste’ method Copying an email in Composer only copies body text, not subject or the styling of how it appears from the sender and reply to email. VC Accounting looks exactly the same as Axiom besides the URL which makes it difficult to distinguish which module we are using (it would be helpful if the colors were different) **What problems is Veracross solving and how is that benefiting you?** Veracross has provided solutions for our complicated tuition structure. ### 6. It allows us to look at our data differently and combine data from different areas of the system (academics, admissions, development) with greater ease. System response is quick and running queries takes no time. The Implementation team and the Support team is responsive and knowledgeable and work to resolve issues and answer questions thoroughly. Extensive online knowledge base is also a plus. The portals and communication tools have been a game changer for us. The way in which information can be delivered to our Faculty in the portal has been transformative for many of our processes. Faculty are able to access much more information themselves without asking admin assistants to pull lists and reports for them. Parents have responded positively to the new portal also, and the flexibility to manage their own payments in student billing is a plus. Requiring all parents to set up VCPay has reduced the manual workload of our business office significantly. The parents' ability to use their VCPay wallet for payments across the system (event registration, summer programs, etc) has streamlined processing for them. **What do you dislike about Veracross?** Veracross implementation is very much self-paced, self-service, and self-directed. Internal teams must be committed and carve out dedicated time to work on the implementation and learn the system. Veracross provides the structure, but it is really up to the school to do the heavy lifting. If you do not have strong project lead or leads at the school, it would be easy to fall behind. The data implementation work is the responsibility of the school using the VC import tool, if you do not have a resource who can pull the data accurately, I would suggest engaging a 3rd party for assistance. Veracross has robust online training tools (videos, articles, and live training sessions) but you will spend time trying to ask the question in veracross terms so you can get the answer you need. This can be very frustrating for users. **What problems is Veracross solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ease of access to our data and improved user experience. ### 7. I've answered this question. **What do you dislike about Veracross?** The general page does not have all the information needed for us and there is no way to individualize fields, such as visits. **What problems is Veracross solving and how is that benefiting you?** I've requested the addition of fields for unique visits on the general page. ### 8. These include the registrar, to busienss, and development. Each module works very well with each other. Looking at the business modules the payment plan system is wonderful! I have worked in other systems in past jobs, but Veracrosses payment plan system above everyone elses. Also, they have a great customer support team that is very active at replying to cases and will even setup zooms if you need additional help. If they are missing a feature in their system there is a enhancement log you can make suggestions for future updates. **What do you dislike about Veracross?** If you like to embed your donor forms on your webpage this is not a feature offered at this time. **What problems is Veracross solving and how is that benefiting you?** Their payment plan system is very helpful to process your families payments. ### 9. That was very challenging. Support was provided, but the resolution came in "how to" -- not in doing it for us. In the end, that was good because we truly learned the system. But getting there was challenging! **What problems is Veracross solving and how is that benefiting you?** Integrated data base for each student record ### 10.
