## Veeva Vault Reviews
  ### 1. Unified CTMS & eTMF That Enables Strategic Trial Oversight and Always-On Inspection Readiness

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dimple R. | Study Start-Up, Sr. Specialist , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Veeva Vault?**

Unified CTMS & eTMF. Shift your role from data entry and chasing documents to strategic trial oversight.Always-On" Inspection Readiness and Accelerated site Startup

**What do you dislike about Veeva Vault?**

Search & Reporting Hurdles
While the data is all there, finding it can be a chore.
The Issue: Unless the metadata was entered perfectly at the start, the search function can be finicky. Building custom reports often requires a "Power User" or a dedicated system admin rather than being something a manager can do quickly on the fly.
Over-Automation
The system's automated notifications can be relentless. If not tuned correctly, your inbox can become flooded with "Task Assigned" or "Document Overdue" alerts, leading to "notification fatigue" where important flags get buried in the noise.

**What problems is Veeva Vault solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In clinical operations, Veeva Vault is essentially solving the "fragmentation" problem—the headache of having your data, your documents, and your site trackers living in three different universes.Veeva Vault solves the administrative burden of compliance so that you can focus on operational delivery. It turns you from someone who "chases documents" into someone who "manages performance."

  ### 2. Veeva Vault Feels Like the Gold Standard for Regulatory Robustness

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ender Efe C. | Laboratory Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Veeva Vault?**

For a scientist working in R&D, clinical operations, or quality, Veeva Vault can feel like the gold standard thanks to its regulatory robustness. That said, its workflows can be quite rigid.

**What do you dislike about Veeva Vault?**

It can be click-heavy and laborious, with a rigid workflow built around lifecycles. It isn’t very intuitive until you’ve spent some time getting familiar with it, and I’ve also run into PDF rendering problems.

**What problems is Veeva Vault solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It connects smoothly with other Veeva modules (RIM, Quality, Clinical), so we’re consistently “audit-ready” without having to put in extra effort. I also like the real-time commenting and the shared access across global sites, which makes collaboration much easier.

  ### 3. Improves Data Quality with Room for Interface Enhancement

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deborah S. | RN/Clinical Research Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Veeva Vault?**

I like that Veeva Vault immediately lets you know of any errors so that you can make clarifications for cleaner data. It helps with better clinical data outcomes and better relationships with our sponsors. The setup was easy since it was already set up, and we just needed to train and begin entering data.

**What do you dislike about Veeva Vault?**

There are some pages that are not smooth and could be improved. Even the guidelines are not as clear as they could be. The sponsor data pages, especially disposition pages, do not explain what data needs to be entered there.

**What problems is Veeva Vault solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Veeva Vault's data entry feature to translate source chart data for sponsor use, immediately identify errors for cleaner data, and improve clinical outcomes and sponsor relationships.

  ### 4. Incredible software

**What do you dislike about Veeva Vault?**

**What problems is Veeva Vault solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When we searching any documents regarding any reference study. It's very helpful to us. It's acharay are so amazing.

  ### 5. Veeva Vault review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gayathiri S. | Third party data acquisition member, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Veeva Vault?**

The interface is user friendly. The multitasking in Veeva vault is appreciated. a lot of tasks can be done through one platform

**What do you dislike about Veeva Vault?**

the search option can be improved to show appropriate results

**What problems is Veeva Vault solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy for trainings

  ### 6. Convenient and user-friendly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julia V. | Quality Compliance Manager, Pharmaceuticals, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Veeva Vault?**

Veeva Vault has many capabilities: it can be used to store and update company Standard Operating Procedures, Policies, Forms, etc. The workflows are easy to use and workflow history (audit history) is stored for each document, which tells the story of the document history. This is convenient when someone is trying to identify if a review/approval workflow took place recently, especially for periodic reviews of company documents.

**What do you dislike about Veeva Vault?**

Veeva Vault has many capabilities and it takes some time to learn all of them. Many users struggle with starting a workflow or viewing workflow progress because they are not familiar with the steps. Also, there are system limitations, for example, only the document owner has access to certain functions that others do not. Only the owner in the system can start workflows or edit medidata (details of the document). Certain actions are only allowed during draft status and are not possible during "in review" "reviewed" or "approved" status, such as changing the document owner in the system.

**What problems is Veeva Vault solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work with Veeva on Quality Documents, such as Standard Operating Procedures that are housed there. Veeva Vault is a repository for controlled company documents and it is useful in performing updates to the quality documents and periodic reviews. The workflows allow many users to review and add comments simultaneously and workflow history is stored and can be accessed at a later time. Veeva Vault also has Quality Management and vendor management functions where CAPA's are recorded and vendors are managed.

  ### 7. Too many options/tabs, not very intuitive

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Veeva Vault?**

Design is nice, sufice options for clinical trial management in one platform

**What do you dislike about Veeva Vault?**

It is not intuitive, uploading documents to eTMF requires too many steps, eTMF binders do not show if it is empty, no placeholders for expected documents so one would need to know well enough what is intended to be filed in each folder in order not to miss any required documents.
The binders are not presenting documents correctly, some are not presented at all when searched for

**What problems is Veeva Vault solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Veeva centralizes several applications used for clinical trials management in one platform, such as eTMF, report writing, monitoring visit schedule, issues management, required clknical logs such as ICF log

  ### 8. A platform with a clear workflow, easy for tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Veeva Vault?**

The best part about this platform is that it easily tracks projects. It is very easy to see who is responsible, and what are the next steps when it comes to approving a project.

**What do you dislike about Veeva Vault?**

One issue I tend to have with Veeva Vaults is that sometimes the project owner must manually push a project ahead. In that time, some users may not see who the project owner is, leading to confusion. This is rare, however.

**What problems is Veeva Vault solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Veeva Vault acts as an internal regulatory board. It allows us to have our projects viewed and approved by several departments including legal, marketing and language.

  ### 9. Not all its chalked up to be!

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Blythe L. | Quality and Compliance Specialist

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Veeva Vault?**

I thought I would love it, I had heard so much about it but, it has a lot of bugs. Formatting a document that goes into Veeva is a nightmare. There is no, and I mean zero, training for training administration. You have to wing it. The directions on line is what they tell you to follow and they are subpar at best. The training items do not even connect from the QDocs side. They make new items that do not even include the numbers. Training in general has so many extra steps to do anything. What they really want you to do is spend time with a Veeva rep that is VERY expensive and not worth the money.
Same scenario for Deviations. You have to make separate items for each part of the deviation. For instance, Root cause is a separate entity that you have to create inside the Deviation. It is very cumbersome. It is nice to have everything in one place, I just wish they played better together.

**What do you dislike about Veeva Vault?**

Lack of training for training administration! Online help for this is there but, all over the place. There are too much separation of parts for each item. An SOP gets turned into "training material" , which then has to be made into "Training requirement." You can add those to curricula that make up learning roles. I love the concept of learner roles, but not all of the extra steps to get there.
Reports are HORRIBLE! Again nice concept but, then they want you to use what they have instead of making your own. You even have to ask to have the full list. But, even with the full list, you are unable to pull a logical report like, Learner Role, with curriculum, with the curriculum content.

Call me disillusioned with this. It is a sad day when I want Success Factors back.

**What problems is Veeva Vault solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is nice that everything is in one program. It would be nice if the pieces worked better together. e.g. QDocs to training.

  ### 10. Healthcare VEEVA Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica P. | Senior Account Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Veeva Vault?**

I like the email notifications provided by VEEVA to keep me on track and understand the next steps. They recently overhauled the interface, and I think it is simple and easy to use. It allows MRL teams to provide feedback and assigns them dates.

**What do you dislike about Veeva Vault?**

When submitting materials in VEEVA you must tag and link all medical references in a process called annotating. When there is a label update to the Important Safety Information, no matter how small or large, we must re-tag and link the entire deck. In VEEVA, you do have the opportunity to pull forward annotations. However, it does not track when an annotation was replaced in a new round/version of the review. Therefore, when pulling forward annotations to the new piece, the links then need to be re-audited because they might be old or floating in the document because the platforms pull forward is not as advanced as it could be,

**What problems is Veeva Vault solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Version control issues if reviews were conducted offline, better organization, and secure file transfer.
