What do you like best about Usercentrics?

In banking, managing customer relationships and staying on top of compliance is essential. That’s where Usercentrics fits in for us: it offers a genuinely user-friendly interface for building customized consent management across our online banking channels. It’s made it much simpler to capture and manage granular user consent on both our website and mobile apps, helping us stay aligned with data protection requirements like the DPDP Act as well as international regulations such as GDPR.

From a performance standpoint, it works extremely well. The consent scripts load quietly in the background without slowing down our banking portal or disrupting key transactions, which was a major concern for us going in. During our initial rollout, the onboarding team also provided practical templates that helped us get configured quickly and with less back-and-forth.

Another strong point is how smoothly it integrates with our web analytics, customer data, and CRM systems. What do you dislike about Usercentrics?

Making multi-language consent banners work across different regions can be a bit tricky. At times, I have to manually adjust the CSS because the visual editor isn’t very flexible when it comes to more unique layout templates. The platform’s rule engine and automated domain scanning do a good job of providing basic privacy information, but it would be even better if it could alert us in real time whenever it detects new third-party scripts. That kind of proactive notification would help us catch potential issues before audits, rather than after. Overall, the system is fine, but it could be more proactive. What problems is Usercentrics solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before we started using Usercentrics, keeping our banking channels aligned with privacy requirements across different platforms was a real challenge. It involved a lot of manual effort and drove up our development costs. Usercentrics changed that by running automated AI scans that identify and categorize new third-party tracking scripts, so we can stay on top of data privacy rules without constantly pulling our engineers into the process. It also gives us a clear, centralized view of opt-in behavior across both our mobile apps and websites, supported by a single dashboard and real-time analytics.

Simplifying how we manage consent has made a noticeable difference. By consolidating everything into one platform, we’ve eliminated unnecessary software spend and reduced the risk of regulatory issues. The automation also saves our technical team a significant amount of time—hundreds of hours each year—by streamlining the work involved in preparing for audits. Overall, it’s a practical move that saves money while helping reinforce customer trust around how their data is handled, which feels like a win-win for our banking operations.
