"Polished, Responsive Monitoring—But API Access and Probe IP Updates Need Work"
4/5
What do you like best about Uptime.com?

The interface feels polished, and the web app is responsive. There are many locations available for a reasonable price. Once you understand the key concepts behind Contacts and Integrations, everything becomes straightforward. Overall, it’s a solid product, and I like using it.

The status pages also look very modern and have a nice style, which is a real plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Uptime.com?

Some of the pricing plans feel questionable. For example, having to pay extra just to use the API is kind of odd.

Recently, we also had a false-positive alert triggered during maintenance.

It would be great if Uptime.com allowed setting a personalized HTTP User-Agent. Right now we’re working around this by using a custom secret in the headers, but that only works for HTTP monitors.

And honestly, I find it frustrating that there isn’t a public API endpoint to retrieve an always-up-to-date list of probe IPs. Instead, I have to manually download the list, go into Cloudflare, update my allowlist, and then repeat the whole process again. That’s really not convenient.
