What I value most about Ubuntu is its stability, developer-friendliness and reliable software packages management (apt, Snap). Using this OS as my daily driver makes my work productive and comfortable due to the native Linux terminal, Docker utility and comprehensive documentation. The stability and security of the LTS versions also contribute to a positive experience and simplify work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In my view, Ubuntu’s main drawback is its heavy reliance on Snap packages, which can result in slower application performance and increased disk usage. Also, while Ubuntu generally offers strong hardware support, certain proprietary applications or specific peripheral devices may still need extra configuration to work properly. Lastly, some professional tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, along with other Windows-only programs, are not supported natively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
