As my Company has 3 separate ERP systems, Cadency allows us to have 1 system where all the information feeds together and we can review status across all our entities. **What do you dislike about Trintech?** Although Cadency is great to have a centralized platform for all Global Business Partners, it is sometimes difficult to break out the Regional statistics/duties performed by our team members. For example, some of our Mexico team members assist US operations or assist with South American entities. We have Regional Admins who assist with maintenance of their respective Regions, however when teams cross over to assist different regions, they cannot always access the information that is tied to another Region (aside from theirs). We wish there was a better way to grant access on a Regional level. **What problems is Trintech solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cadency is solving our problems that we have with our 3 ERP systems. As noted, we have an ERP system for each Region (NA, SA and AE). So it becomes difficult to manage access/roles within those 3 systems. As well as ensuring that users are following proper controls, thus Cadency helps maintain better controls for our procedures. This reduces the risk that team members from other entities can modify or change data in the ERP system. ### 2. The user only sees the final outcome, while all the complexity is handled seamlessly by Frontier’s automation. The support provided by Dameon was exceptional—honestly unmatched. I don’t think anyone could deliver training better than he did. If I am a strong advocate for Frontier today, it is entirely because of him and the training that truly shaped my understanding of the system. The Trintech team also ensures that questions are addressed promptly, often before issues escalate, whether during implementation or after go-live. Their support is consistently quick and reliable. I was new to the workplace, and this system was also new to the organization, yet the ease of use and level of support throughout the project were truly incredible. **What do you dislike about Trintech?** If they can enhance the reconciliation side and make it larger, that would be a great achievement. **What problems is Trintech solving and how is that benefiting you?** These three items were the highlights of the year for me: building out the Debit card switch recon, Share Balance, and Loan Balance, and then later adding the credit card field. Overall, the close process is still very manual and time-consuming. Traditional reconciliation and close activities rely heavily on spreadsheets, emails, and manual follow-ups, which slows everything down and increases burnout. There is also limited visibility and control, since finance leaders often struggle to get real-time insight into close status, risk areas, and accountability across teams. On top of that, the risk of errors and compliance issues is higher because manual handoffs and inconsistent documentation increase the likelihood of mistakes, audit findings, and SOX/compliance gaps. Finally, systems are fragmented, with data scattered across ERPs, Excel, and multiple point solutions, which makes it difficult to standardize processes and scale. How this is benefiting me is that the close is faster and more predictable. Automation and intelligent workflows reduce manual reconciliations and follow-ups, helping close activities finish sooner and with fewer last-minute fire drills. Accuracy and confidence are also improved, since built-in controls, rules, and AI-driven insights help identify anomalies early, reducing rework and increasing trust in the numbers. I also get better visibility for decision-making: real-time dashboards and task tracking make it easier to see where issues are, who owns them, and how they affect timelines. With more repetitive tasks reduced, Frontier gives me more time for value-added work, like analysis, process improvement, and partnering with the business rather than just “getting the close done.” It also supports scalability and standardization, so as processes grow or change, Frontier helps maintain consistent execution without adding proportional effort or headcount. ### 3. It's really easy to maneuver around, and I can save my work as a draft if I get interrupted and need to come back to it later. I also appreciate the graphics, which show me what's pending, completed, and what hasn't been started yet. I can click on parts of the graph to continue right where I left off, which is just amazing. **What do you dislike about Trintech?** There is none that I dont like about Cadency **What problems is Trintech solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Cadency by Trintech for reconciliations, helping me balance my work by identifying discrepancies in figures, like if I'm off by a cent. It's user-friendly and lets me track previous work, making life simpler. ### 4. Reporting customization is also limited, and tailoring outputs to our internal formats takes more effort than it should at this price point. **What problems is Trintech solving and how is that benefiting you?** We moved off spreadsheets and email based tracking entirely. Close visibility improved immediately. I can see task status, exceptions, and sign offs in real time. I like that I can ask Cadency to help improve my process, simplify meanings, or even translate tasks for me. Everything so far is super fine and great, and while the initial setup isn't easy, the results are greatly effective. **What do you dislike about Trintech?** Setup is complex, requires good data quality, and can be less flexible in some scenarios. **What problems is Trintech solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cadency by Trintech automates matching, saving time, reducing errors, and improving control over recons. It has been great to standardise the reconciliation process within our companies and have a strict Quality Assurance process in place. CLOSE We have not used CLOSE to its full potential yet, and we are about to implement stage 2 of the project, which will help us deliver a proper close. Genuinely excited about our future CLOSE process. JE JE has been great to implement. We have just had year-end, and it went so smoothly due to JE. It gives us more control over the approval process and stops skipping procedures. Support The support teams are fantastic, and being split between Europe and the States, you have access to them all the time. They do what they say they will do, when they says it. As an admin user I am in the system all the time. The changes/upgrades on the whole and been really good for us. We have just recently upgraded to 11.3 and strongly recommend this system **What do you dislike about Trintech?** I feel the reporting could be much more intuitive. It can be difficult to get all the information you need in one report. We can adapt to it when it would be much easier if it adapted to us. **What problems is Trintech solving and how is that benefiting you?** With JE, it gives much more control over the approval process and stops procedure skipping. The control aspect is greatly improved by keeping all the GL in one place and in one style. Certification has standardised our approach to reconciliation and over the last 12/18 months our quality checks pass rate has doubled to over 90% (It a very tough standard to hit as well.) It helps track what we have to do, ensures we complete tasks and reconciliations on time, and allows us to know who did what and by when. **What do you dislike about Trintech?** The Dashboard is not good, and we have to use an XLS base report to show where countries/affiliates stand by Tower. The view is not user-friendly as you have to scroll and it’s not easy to get a full picture, making it better in XLS. Additionally, the RTR Console did not balance for some countries and required the Trintech tech team to figure out why. The initial setup was not easy and was time-consuming. **What problems is Trintech solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Cadency by Trintech to organize and support tasks and certifications worldwide. It tracks completion and ensures timely task execution. The repository tool helps us see who did what and by when, maintaining accountability and efficiency. ### 8. As an administrator, I really like their Support Center, especially for creating and tracking cases. The support team is responsive, knowledgeable, professional, and easy to work with. I also appreciate that it leverages AI technology, and that I can go back and view comments even after a case is closed. **What do you dislike about Trintech?** First, users have encountered gateway errors far too frequently, raising concerns about system reliability. Second, reporting limitations within the Journal Entry module make governance and audit activities challenging. The template audit trail is particularly difficult to work with—speaking from the perspective of someone executing these activities, the report is hard to interpret and lacks clarity. We need an audit trail that is transparent, intuitive, and easy for auditors to review. Third, manual configuration in production increases risk. I would prefer a more automated and controlled migration process. Lastly, my experience with the Knowledge Center has been limited. When navigating to Customer Products → Cadency → Journal Entry, I see only 16 known issues listed, which seems quite minimal. That said, I do appreciate the ability to follow updates. **What problems is Trintech solving and how is that benefiting you?** We’ve experienced issues with attachments and journal entry statuses not aligning with our ERP SAP. Working through these challenges has helped me better understand the system and enabled me to share that knowledge with the business, ultimately helping to reduce errors. ### 9.
