I don't like the current search functionality in Trainual. It's difficult to search for information by keywords effectively. People have different ways of phrasing topics, and as it stands, it's challenging to locate the necessary information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I searched for a very long time for a 'playbook' platform to use for our company as our last one let us down hard by losing our data when renewing our contract. From the beginning, Trainual looked easy to use as well as professional, but simple and had a 'fun' aspect which was important in getting employees to WANT to use the platform, not only need to use it. The onboarding process was incredible and the Implementation Specialist who guided me through the first couple weeks of using the platform was really wonderful and patient with me while I learned the features and benefits to using Trainual. Our company has a friendly competition between departments to see who can get through the content as and when it comes out within a specific time frame and it's now normal for everyone to search on Trainual prior to asking a colleague for assistance - love it! It was easy for employees to access Trainual and it's intuitive interface as well as multiple features makes it a perfect pick for us. The Trainual community forum is also really helpful and informative and a cool added feature that I wasn't sure I'd make use of, but I do and I see the value in it. The Trainual Team is also always innovating and being creative with their features as well as asking for user imput which is so valuable and makes us feel seen and heard with our concerns/ideas. It is very easy to use and has great AI features! All of the add in's are great- you can start with the basics and give it a tone, or captivating pictures with great ease. The AI is really amazing and you work with it right there while you are creating content. I also really enjoy the mobile app- completing trainings is extremely easy to use while on the go. I use Trainual extensively to ensure that all of our staff and coaches are well-versed in our SOPs and know where to find critical information such as financial details, onboarding orientation, and offboarding processes. This clarity in training and information access has been invaluable to our team. I particularly appreciate how Trainual has streamlined the administration by allowing me to direct inquiries to the platform, saving me significant time. The ability to house our forms there and quickly share them is incredibly efficient. I find the integration with Google Suite, allowing us to add PDFs, Google Docs, and links to Google Drive, extremely useful as it leverages our existing resources. I also love the people section of Trainual; it visually links responsibilities to training SOPs, which is crucial for our multiple locations and remote team members, ensuring everyone knows who is responsible for what. Setting up Trainual was definitely tedious due to the large number of new SOPs I had to create, and there was a learning curve initially. Formatting wasn't always super simple, making it challenging to set up initially. There were also issues with adding PDFs, as updates to documents required manual changes in all areas, which was cumbersome. The process of linking to Google Drive and other files required figuring out workarounds. Additionally, the formatting options could be more intuitive, especially when changing fonts or colors of links. In tandem with what I like best about Trainual, something that has been challenging is the frequency of updates. Often times, the updates impact the visuals of the site, making it difficult to initially find content.

We're about 1 year in to Trainual, and I've never been so excited to create content. It's very intuitive and caters to all learning styles. I've been asked to refine content we've created, and having the AI ability to rewrite to formulate a consistent writing style has been amazing. Both our tenured and newly onboarded employees really enjoy the format. Our team uses the content daily to check on documented processes and migrate our content over. When I first started using Trainual, I found the setup process to be somewhat difficult. Logging into Trainual didn't always take me directly to the home page, as it sometimes diverted to less relevant sections like subjects, creating confusion. I love the UI for creating documentation - very intuitive. I love that you can see the progress of each individual (if you are admin). It is very easy to implement and integrate into our onboarding process! Since my company has been using Trainual I can see they work actively to improve existing features and add new ones that are truly helpful. I am glad they added history of changes. The only downside is that we need another application on top of the regular stack that we have like Gusto.
