What do you like best about Torii?

Torii is an automated SaaS management tool that simplifies the process of tracking, optimizing, and controlling the software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications used within an organization. By offering centralized visibility, cost analysis, and automated workflows, Torii aims to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall SaaS management.

The things I like best about Torii are (in no particular order):

Comprehensive SaaS Visibility:

One of Torii's standout features is its ability to provide a comprehensive overview of all SaaS applications being used across an organization. It scans multiple data sources, such as email and expense reports, to identify and track the applications employees are utilizing. This ensures that no SaaS app goes unnoticed, allowing administrators to gain complete visibility into their software ecosystem.

Cost Optimization:

Torii excels at helping us optimize our SaaS spend. It provides detailed cost analysis, enabling users to identify underutilized subscriptions, duplicate tools, or inactive accounts. By identifying areas of unnecessary expenditure, Torii helps us save money by eliminating redundant applications and negotiating better deals with vendors.

Automated Workflows:

Torii automates many SaaS management tasks, saving valuable time and effort. It can automatically assign and revoke licenses, manage user access, and send notifications for expiring contracts or unused subscriptions. These automated workflows simplify administrative tasks, reduce manual errors, and ensure that SaaS applications are appropriately provisioned and deprovisioned.

Collaboration and Integration:

Torii facilitates collaboration by allowing team members to work together on SaaS management tasks. It provides a centralized platform for discussing, assigning, and resolving issues related to SaaS applications. Additionally, Torii integrates with popular business tools like Slack, Jira, and G Suite, streamlining the workflow and ensuring seamless integration with existing processes. What do you dislike about Torii?

There are a couple of things that perhaps are not ideal, in my eyes:

Learning Curve:

While Torii offers powerful features, you may experience a learning curve when initially adopting the tool. The platform has a wide range of functionalities, and navigating through its various features and settings might require some time and effort. However, Torii provides helpful documentation and responsive customer support to assist users during the onboarding process.

Limited Customization Options:

You might find that Torii's customization options are not as extensive as you would prefer. While it offers predefined workflows and templates, there may be instances where organizations require more flexibility to adapt the tool to their specific needs. What problems is Torii solving and how is that benefiting you?

I would say a big problem that Torii solves, and a big benefit to me, is taking on the admin burden. By that I mean managing user access, license assignments, and contract renewals for numerous SaaS applications can be time-consuming and prone to errors. Torii automates administrative tasks associated with SaaS management. It automatically assigns and revokes licenses, manages user access, and sends notifications for expiring contracts or unused subscriptions. This automation reduces the administrative burden, minimizes manual errors, and frees up time for IT and administrative teams to focus on more strategic initiatives.
