As an admin, I like that I can easily monitor hours, pay contractors, and compare their submitted time against their invoices. I can also go back and pull up historical data to see how someone’s workload has grown over time, which is helpful when evaluating capacity or making the case for a pay raise. That same data helps us show when there’s enough work to justify adding support to the team.
I also appreciate that Toggl keeps everything in one place, because it makes it easier to spot patterns and understand how the team is operating. It gives me a clear, reliable picture to reference when planning for the new year during budget season. On top of that, I can filter and organize the data and pull reports in different ways depending on what the CEO is looking for. Overall, Toggl is easy to use and convenient for everyone. I think Toggl could do a better job of offering simpler, more intuitive admin dashboards. It would also be great if contractor invoicing could be connected so Toggl can quickly flag discrepancies in logged hours, instead of having to catch them manually. I also wish it provided notifications when someone exceeds a set number of hours on a project, or when they haven’t submitted any time at all. Lastly, it would be really useful to be able to correct or update multiple entries at once, and to integrate projects and work in a way that automatically adds entries. That would streamline the process of making edits before submitting time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
