We use Toggl every day to track time against client projects, and the interface is the main reason it has stuck with our team. Starting and stopping timers takes a click, and the entries update in real time, so we rarely have to go back and fix hours at the end of the week. The reports have also been consistently accurate, which matters a lot when those numbers go straight into client invoices. Since we started using Toggl, timesheet cleanup at the end of each billing cycle has dropped from about [90 hours] to [50 hours].
The newer calendar integration has been a big improvement. Meetings show up as suggested time entries, so we no longer reconstruct our week from memory, and fewer billable hours slip through the cracks. The other app integrations let us keep time tracking inside the tools we already use. The AI feature help us to get the answers of all questions related to reports and other things
An unexpected benefit has been [for example: seeing which clients or tasks take longer than we quoted, which has helped us price new projects more accurately]. Toggl is also very economical, and every dollar we spend on it feels justified. Support has been quick and helpful whenever we’ve had a question. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Occasionally Toggl feels sluggish, mostly when [loading large reports / switching between projects / syncing the timer across devices]. I’m not sure whether the cause is Toggl’s servers or my own internet connection, but it happens often enough to notice. The impact is small but real: when the timer or a report lags, I sometimes wait a few seconds before I can confirm an entry saved, and during busy periods like month-end billing those delays add up and slow down invoicing.
One improvement that would help is a clearer indicator when the app is syncing or loading, such as a visible “saved” confirmation on time entries, so I’m not left guessing whether the slowness is on my side or Toggl’s. Faster loading for large date-range reports would also make a difference for teams with a lot of entries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
