I use Todoist to manage smaller tasks that can easily get lost during a busy development cycle. I like how quickly I can add tasks using simple natural language, set due dates, assign priorities, and organize everything into different projects. I also rely on recurring tasks for routine activities like checking deployment status, reviewing pending PRs, and following up on unresolved bugs.
Labels and filters make it easier to separate urgent fixes from regular development work, so I can stay focused on what matters most. I especially appreciate the clean interface, because it helps me see at a glance what needs attention first and what’s already completed. Overall, Todoist feels very user-friendly and makes managing day-to-day development activities much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Todoist works well for personal task management, but it isn’t a full project management solution for software development teams. For team workflows, features such as detailed task dependencies, sprint tracking, and technical issue management are better handled in specialized tools like Jira.
