## Tizen Reviews
  ### 1. Reliable Smart Device Performance During Project Review Activities

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** VINAY P. | Mechanical Design Engineer, Design, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Tizen?**

As a Design Engineer, I regularly use Samsung smart displays and connected devices during project reviews, technical presentations, and coordination discussions. What I appreciate most about Tizen is how lightweight and responsive the overall experience feels during continuous day-to-day usage.

During review meetings and presentation sessions, applications, browser-based tools, and media content loaded quickly without major lag, which helped discussions continue smoothly without unnecessary interruptions. The interface also felt clean and easy to navigate, even for users who were not very familiar with the system.
Another advantage was the consistent integration across Samsung smart displays and connected devices, which made connectivity and usability more reliable during collaborative activities.

From a performance standpoint, the platform remained stable without demanding heavy hardware resources, and the initial setup and onboarding process was straightforward for regular usage.

One limitation I noticed is that the availability of third-party applications and advanced customization options is still more limited compared to Android-based environments. the value felt reasonable for the overall experience provided by Tizen. The lightweight performance, stable operation, and smooth integration across Samsung smart displays helped maintain reliable usage during presentations, review discussions, and day-to-day collaboration activities without requiring high-end hardware resources

**What do you dislike about Tizen?**

One challenge I noticed is that the application ecosystem is still relatively limited compared to larger operating systems, especially when looking for specialized third-party tools.
I also experienced occasional slowdowns while running heavier applications or multitasking on older hardware configurations.

Another limitation is that deeper customization and personalization options are somewhat restricted, which can reduce flexibility for advanced users.

**What problems is Tizen solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Tizen-based Samsung smart displays and connected devices, presentation and collaboration environments often varied across devices, which sometimes created compatibility issues, inconsistent performance, or delays during technical discussions and review meetings.

Tizen helped solve this by providing a more unified, lightweight, and stable operating environment across connected Samsung devices. During project review sessions and technical walkthroughs, the system handled browser-based content, presentations, and media switching smoothly without frequent interruptions.

The lightweight architecture also improved responsiveness and reduced delays caused by slower boot times or heavy background processing.

From a workflow perspective, this created a more reliable presentation and collaboration environment, improved usability during review activities, and reduced interruptions during important project discussions.

  ### 2. Tizen: solid security and many features, some things to improve....

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fabrizio M. | OPERATORE ANTINCENDIO - OSPEDALE PEDIATRICO BAMBINO GESù, Hospital & Health Care, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Tizen?**

I greatly appreciated the security offered by the Tizen operating system; it is not possible to install apps outside the operating system to ensure security. It is very practical and has many features.

**What do you dislike about Tizen?**

The thing I liked least about the Tizen operating system is that when it performs software updates (on Smart TV), it slows down the device, creating lag issues to the point that you have to turn off and turn on the device, in this case the SMART TV. Additionally, there are many useless pre-installed apps on the device that you cannot uninstall, which is very annoying. The search for apps gives you unrelated results, providing you with useless things. From such an operating system, I expect better!!!!

**What problems is Tizen solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Well, since I've been using Tizen, I've benefited by not having to pay for remote control batteries anymore. Now all SMART TVs with the TIZEN system come with a remote control with a solar panel. Additionally, even for those who don't have an antenna on the roof, they can easily find channels through their own connection.

  ### 3. Lightweight, Stable, and Seamlessly Integrated in the Samsung Ecosystem

Tizen is known for its lightweight nature and effective management of resources that ensures users get an optimal experience using their smart TVs, wearable devices, and other Internet of Things devices. The operating system has proven to be stable, flexible, and highly integrated within the Samsung environment.

**What do you dislike about Tizen?**

nothing to add this time from my side everything seems fine

**What problems is Tizen solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem of creating an operating system for smartphones and other gadgets that is lightweight and efficient is addressed by Tizen. The benefits include smooth and fast operation, along with easy connectivity between different gadgets, thus forming one cohesive system.

  ### 4. Easy Built-In OS and Smooth Digital Display Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel L. | Technical Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Tizen?**

Built in OS with easy interface and integration into the digital display software

**What do you dislike about Tizen?**

any remote management for the device is a charged for product and the interface can be really slow

**What problems is Tizen solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows us to use the screens with native support for the digital display software

  ### 5. Stable, User-Friendly, But Limited in Customization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sai K. | Design Engineer, Semiconductors, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Tizen?**

I appreciate how Tizen offers fast boot times and smooth multitasking, which ensures a stable experience, even on budget TVs. The minimalistic and user-friendly interface makes it easy to navigate. I also love the tight integration with smart home controls like Bixby, Alexa, and Google Assistant, making it convenient to manage my smart home devices. Moreover, the pre-installed major streaming apps like Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney Hotstar enhance my viewing experience, providing seamless access to my favorite content.

**What do you dislike about Tizen?**

I find the limited app ecosystem restrictive, as it only allows pre-installed apps like Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney Hotstar, and restricts the installation of new software. This limitation affects my ability to customize my experience further. Additionally, data transfer is restricted as it cannot be done to non-Samsung devices lacking Tizen compatibility. Customization options are limited since third-party launchers and deeper interface personalization using metas and other software are not possible. Also, I encounter bloatware issues due to the presence of unwanted third-party apps.

**What problems is Tizen solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Tizen provides smooth integration on Samsung devices, offering fast boot times, smooth multitasking, and stability even on budget TVs. It's user-friendly and supports major streaming apps, though customization and third-party app installations are limited.

  ### 6. Fast, Lightweight and Versatile, But Limited Apps

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francis J. | CEO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Tizen?**

I like that Tizen is super fast and lightweight, with a clean and simple interface. It gives freedom to all developers and works on many devices. This makes it particularly helpful for watching TVs and running appliances smoothly without lag, and I use it for applications like Netflix and YouTube. I also appreciate the security it offers for smart devices.

**What do you dislike about Tizen?**

Compared to Android or Apple, Tizen has fewer apps, fewer games, and slow updates. Some popular apps are missing, the developer support is weaker, and the updates are inconsistent.

**What problems is Tizen solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tizen helps solve the problem of ensuring a smooth path in its usage.

Sluggys UI, apps take a long time to load, reopening some apps will restart them most of the times instead of going to the last open page, my samsung TV with Tizen has problems with some ARC HDMI soundsbars

**What problems is Tizen solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making TV "Smart".

**What problems is Tizen solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customization of OS. Since tizen is open source, we can customize it according to our liking which offers great flexibility when compared to other os available.
