TextPad is one such tool which is mainly associated with text editing. It is used for editing large text files and working with them as it offers great performance and is very light. We can open large text files instantly with TextPad. The thing that I like the most about TextPad is the feature for Syntax highlighting when working with any programming language and its search and replace functionality which is very helpful while debugging application logs. Wrapping of logs is done nicely which is not the case with other editors. Though TextPad is a useful tool for working with text files, there are some cons too, like it doesn't offer the functionality yet which we get with certain IDEs like Eclipse and IntelliJ.
