## About Testpad
Test plans, not test cases. Testpad is built on a different data model. Instead of a suite of test cases, each one a form to fill in with preconditions, steps and expected results, a plan is an outline of prompts. You write a test as a line of plain text, indent to group related tests under a heading, and add a column for each run you do. Established over 16 years ago, customers have included the likes of NVIDIA, GitHub, Bell, Siemens, Sony, HP, and Volvo. It's fast to work in. Type a line, hit enter, write the next one, instead of opening a multi-field form for every test. To make a test run, you add a column and record pass or fail for each test as you work down the list. The plan and its columns form a grid: test prompts down the left, test runs in columns on the right, and a result in every cell. You don't just get a count of test cases or a list of bugs found, you get to see at a glance everything that was and wasn't tested. To get extra help at release time, there's a Guest Testing feature where you can send anyone outside the team a link to a test run. They test as a guest, with no login, and they don't take up a paid seat. This works especially well for User Acceptance Testing, sending the client links to test runs to work through. Every script and folder has a report you can share by link, while testing is still going or once it's done. Reports can be saved as a single HTML file (or printed to PDF) - every test, every result, every comment in one readable document. It's a record of what was and wasn't tested, complete with all the results and comments. Whether you're running exploratory sessions, supporting an agile process, writing syntax-highlighted BDD, or you genuinely like structured test cases, the same lightweight plan handles it, without the form-filling overhead of a heavy test-management tool or the mess of a spreadsheet. Simple enough to onboard anyone, deep enough to model a whole test plan. Spend more time testing and less time documenting.

## Testpad Reviews
 ### 1. Clear, Easy Test Scripts with Live Results

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joel H. | Supply Chain Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Testpad?**

Testpad has provided an easy way to write and group test scripts. The layout is clear and easy to send to other people who haven't used Testpad before. It's easy for people to complete test runs and results are live.

**What do you dislike about Testpad?**

It might be too customisable at times, it would probably be easier for new users if there were template test scripts for a wide range of industries.

**What problems is Testpad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Testpad makes User Acceptance Testing for Warehouse Management Systems much easier and quicker than it would be otherwise. Frequent edits are required from customers so having a program like Testpad allows us to quickly make those changes and align to customer needs.

 ### 2. TestPad Is User-Friendly, Straightforward, and Clear

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olivia K. | Communications Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Testpad?**

As a non-IT administrator, I found TestPad very user-friendly, straightforward, and clear. I've used it as a tester for several systems improvement projects, and each time it was an easy-to-navigate system to engage with.

**What do you dislike about Testpad?**

The navigation system to find your project within Testpad was initially confusing as a tester. It would be nice if there was a way to pin a specific test run to your dashboard when you log in.

**What problems is Testpad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Testpad made it easy to track my testing runs and provided a helpful system to give feedback to my IT team.

 ### 3. Easy-to-Use Test Management Tool with Room for More Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** RaghuNadha G. | Customer Support Specialist., Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Testpad?**

I find Testpad very easy to use, and the interface is clean and straightforward. It’s simple to organize and view test cases, and I’ve been able to use it effectively for the last few years.

**What do you dislike about Testpad?**

The interface only shows tasks in one view. It doesn’t let me visualize progress in other ways, like charts or graphs. It could use more features to make tracking more interactive and insightful.

**What problems is Testpad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps organize and manage test cases in a clear, structured way. It makes it easy to track testing progress and collaborate with the team.

1. Saves time by keeping all test cases in one place.

2. Helps the team stay aligned and know which tasks are completed or pending.

 ### 4. Easy to Use and Very Helpful for testing and developments

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Veterinary | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Testpad?**

It is easy to use and very helpful to stay organised

**What do you dislike about Testpad?**

It can offer more features and maybe the ability to add colour to text, sometimes looking at black and white writing can be boring

**What problems is Testpad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping to solve the development and performance of an application we are using as a CRM for our business. It is helping us identify any problems and allowing us to test different parts of the application

 ### 5. Simple Setup and Flawless Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Testpad?**

Very simple to use, import test steps from csv or Excel. Collaboration with multiple users at the same time is flawless. The simple integration providing links to our ticketing system is great.
It is easy to add screenshots and details to each step to help testers understand what they need to do.

**What do you dislike about Testpad?**

3 things bug me:
- it is very easy to delete accidentally a row of tests. Luckily this can be undone with a simple ctrl+z or by locking the script
- users without Admin rights can not reopen completed runs, in order to mark failed tests as passed once they are fixed
- no API is available. I would like to integrate Testpad results with my central reporting tool, where I also report on automated tests

**What problems is Testpad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to have a shared Excel file for collaborative testing which causes endless issues of concurrent versioning. Testpad offered a very effective way for easy collaboration.
We had set it up in a few minutes and now continuously improve our scripts directly in Testpad.

 ### 6. Easy to use tool for developers and QA team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Testpad?**

Nice clean interface.
Testpad helps our developers and QA set up and perform test plans quickly and easily.

**What do you dislike about Testpad?**

It would be useful to be able to group projects together so that we can see at a glance where they are being tested, for example.

**What problems is Testpad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is useful to have a tool to store a test plan per ticket that is accessible to developers and the QA team

 ### 7. Super Easy to Use and Highly Functional

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Testpad?**

Ease of use, its pretty straight forward.

**What do you dislike about Testpad?**

Not the a big thing but, visually it is a bit boring but in terms of functionality that is more than useful.

**What problems is Testpad solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us test our product release, as a team the work is divided and we can easily so how much progress has been accomplish in different scales (top to more granular)

 ### 8. Playful validation of tests, simple and pleasant to use

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2026

The interface that provides an overview of QA tests.

certain screens of the interface that do not use 100% of the screen width

-Simple statistics, in terms of how many tests passed, failed, blocked ,etc.
