The profit margins on a duplex are too narrow for a property manager so I easily transitioned all properties to this service. ### 3. Have a customer service line that goes to voicemail (and no one returns your call) 2. Have "chat" online that is unwilling to help, can't cancel your account, and won't transfer you to a supervisor It's basically like the old "CD" scams that would get you paying a monthly rate and then make it very difficult to cancel the subscription BEWARE, even if you don't complete signup they will continue charging you each month AND they will be unable to cancel your request using any means of customer service (see [1] and [2] above). **What problems is TenantCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tenant cloud has not helped me solve any of the problems I have in property management **Official Response from Julia Nagirniak:** > Thanks for your feedback. As our Support Team has previously responded via a support ticket, your issue is being under review. You have subscribed to a paid plan and was using our system. Later we have added a new feature called "Onboarding" and since your account was missing some information it was shown to you as well. Due to this, you must have misinterpreted the system onboarding. But the day you've contacted our Support Team, we have canceled your subscription. We are sorry you had such experience with our system. Layout is great. Lower difficulty to use. ACH setup is pretty good. Pretty fast update turnaround. **What do you dislike about TenantCloud?** Downside in my book is the customer support. They want to use an ALL web-based ticket submittal system. It is time CONSUMING!!! Some things would be sooooo very much faster with a phone call. Also, they answer with lots of generic messages that don't make sense based on my question. Or after a few weeks the system sends a stupid canned response that doesn't make sense. With the phone app you are constantly logging into because frequent updates blow away your username/password. Fingerprint or NO password would be awesome for faster access. **Recommendations to others considering TenantCloud:** Definitely go for it. I reviewed numerous other systems before settling on TC. When starting up with small inventory, quite a learning curve for those of us that might be considered technologically challenged. Started with small subset of tenants. First month: only one figured it out (partly because I didn't have it all set up correctly.) Just going through second cycle and see dramatic improvement. Enough where will upload the remaining tenants and give them the opportunity for ACH. **What do you dislike about TenantCloud?** While support system seems to be quite complete, it is also difficult to follow, primarily because it is FAQ based. To easy to get led astray following "related" FAQ but not those dealing with primary issues. First few weeks, support took quite a while to respond. (24+ hours) plus not work on weekends. The last couples of times, support was quite prompt with response. So not sure which is the "normal" & which is "unusual": 24+ hrs or a couple of hours. From my tenants side, one figured it first time, one freaked out with account verification but just completed payment for this cycle, two others couldn't figure out the first cycle and too early to see if either will do it this time. If it works as designed, there would not seem to be a downside except perhaps the length of time it takes to process the ACH. . **Recommendations to others considering TenantCloud:** Expect a learning curve for you and for your tenants. Some of the verifications seem more onerous than absolutely needed but with data breaches occurring all over, may be necessary. **What problems is TenantCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tracking rental payments adequately, especially if out of town on the first of the month. Haven't really realized benefits yet but I can visualize them soon. ### 20. It is an ok software for the price and has helped simplify my operations. Has a lot of potential. **What do you dislike about TenantCloud?** Almost all of my new tenants become confused because the system is clunky and not very intuitive. Some features like having renters get and maintain insurance through Tenant Cloud just does not work. The application form is useless as while somewhat customizable it forces you to ask the tenant way more questions than you would typically want to, which turns off new prospects. As is, I have to use too many workarounds to get what should be basic tasks completed. The system needs a UX/UI overhaul. **Recommendations to others considering TenantCloud:** Tenant Cloud has a lot of potential, but needs a better interface to keep up with the competition. Most of my tenants get confused when setting up their account and using the system. **What problems is TenantCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** Makes collecting payment and tracking finances much easier. There are better-designed applications out there, but few that I have found with as many features as Tenant Cloud. ### 21. I had no previous experience as a landlord or with the accounting that comes with it. That said, I like that there is a free version of this, because at the time I took over the accounting, we really didn't know what we needed. **What do you dislike about TenantCloud?** I wish they would stop changing up expense categories, and I wish there was a place where you could enter in your own label for an expense category. Not everything fits inside the box they've created for expenses, and sometimes it feels like the labels I'm giving are a bit of a stretch. **What problems is TenantCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** The software my Dad had previously used was no longer functional, so I was able to begin using Tenant Cloud for my Mom and create reports to track expenses and income. ### 31. The design is great and navigation is seamless.
