"Easy Jira Time Logging with Strong Approvals and Period Locking"

What do you like best about Tempo Timesheets?

Easy to navigate, edit and can favourite tickets. Approvals and period locking that Jira doesn't have. Native Jira can't approve or lock time logs. Tempo lets PLs and line managers accept or reject worklogs, and the team locks time at the end of each reporting period (currently monthly) to keep financial data accurate. What do you dislike about Tempo Timesheets?

I would prefer if we could have automated emails/reminders for users when their timesheets are missing or some sort of functionality to remind them to log as they go. The other thing that would be great is to make bulk planning and bulk plan deletion available. Making time Nonbillable at the moment can be manual too so an easier way to do that would be helpful for our team members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tempo Timesheets solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a digital commerce consultancy, we need accurate time data for client billing, utilisation and financial reporting. Native Jira time tracking couldn't approve or lock worklogs, so it was hard to trust the numbers at month end. Tempo Timesheets fixed that. Our teams log time directly against the Jira issues they're working on. Project leads and line managers approve or reject timesheets, and we lock each reporting period so the financial data stays reliable. When we migrated to Jira Cloud, keeping Tempo meant day-to-day time entry and our timesheet reporting stayed the same, which reduced disruption and rework. Tempo worklogs also sync into our PSA tool several times a day. That gives us near real-time actuals for utilisation, delivery and billing, and we spot missing time logs much sooner.
