**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

The platform made it easy to share project documents and supporting files, ensuring everyone had access to the latest information in one place instead of relying on email exchanges.

It also helped the team coordinate work more effectively by allowing members to divide responsibilities, track progress, and collaborate without duplicating efforts.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

Overall, the system is reliable, but there are times when it feels a bit slower, especially while working on larger audits or uploading/accessing multiple documents.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teammate helps streamline the audit process by bringing audit planning, documentation, review comments, and tracking activities into one centralized platform. It reduces dependency on multiple files and email exchanges, making it easier to manage engagements and maintain visibility over the overall audit progress.

From my experience, it has helped improve collaboration within the audit team, made document sharing and review processes more organized, and provided better tracking of open points and action items. Having all engagement-related information available in one place saves time and makes the review process more efficient.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

1. The feature set feels limited, especially the absence of AI capabilities in on-premises software hosting.
2. Notifications are sometimes delayed; by the time they start working, the intended purpose has already expired or is no longer applicable. For example, password-change notifications for auditees may arrive too late, so they end up having to ask the champion to change the password instead of using a “forgot password” function.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Audit automation: The platform fully automates the audit process from planning through execution to completion. Working papers can be attached and stored for future reference, and the review-notes functionality supports quality improvement. It also includes strong text-formatting features.

2. Real-time collaboration between auditors and auditees: This makes it easier to work remotely, have work reviewed remotely, and track team members’ performance regardless of whether they are in the office or not. Overall, it improves efficiency while saving both time and costs.

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

Support the Audit processes in compliance with the International Standards on Auditing, which generates efficiency and effectiveness when documenting from planning to follow-up. Additionally, its prices are affordable, with good performance.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

There are several aspects that require significant improvement such as:
1. Improve the management of response to recommendations, as it currently does not allow documents or images to be uploaded that would enable business contacts to respond, nor does it show if the recommendation has already been implemented.
2. Document requests should have a better traceability flow, as it currently lacks a flow that demonstrates that the administration sent the documentation and that the audit agreed with the information submitted, and in case the Audit has a counter-response, it should be possible to do so from the tool.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The management of documentation for Internal Audit processes manually is a bit complicated as traceability is lost. With TeamMate+, integration of the processes has been achieved.

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

TeamMate greatly helps me manage internal audit workflows more efficiently and report audit observations more clearly. We open audit engagements in the system and manage our day-to-day activities there, including creating risks and controls and setting up audit test procedures. The system also helps us manage and automate requests for required documents, as well as follow up with auditees.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

Although we have integrated our audit report template into TeamMate, we still need to manually edit the system-generated report to align it with our template. This is due to system limitations, such as the inability to create a summary table for all findings and to insert appendices that support our audit observations.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TeamMate helped us automate and integrate our core audit workflows, which has made our internal audit projects more efficient and effective. It solved our problem of managing multiple versions of audit documents by keeping everything organized in one place. It also improved our document request process by automating audit requests in the system and supporting follow-ups with auditees.

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

TeamMate+ optimizes and streamlines the entire audit lifecycle, from initial planning and execution to communicating results and tracking identified exceptions. It enhances efficiency by automating key tasks, ensuring smooth collaboration across teams, and providing real-time insights into the progress of audits. By centralizing audit data, TeamMate+ enables seamless communication with stakeholders and fosters a proactive approach to monitoring and addressing exceptions, ensuring compliance and minimizing risks.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

After over a year of utilizing TeamMate+, we've encountered some system limitations that have prevented full utilization of certain modules. These limitations include the restriction of sending document requests to only a single recipient, the absence of search or sort functionality in the Response Tracking module, and the inability to configure more complex formulas for risk assessments within the system. We hope that these challenges will be addressed in the next version update, as resolving them would greatly enhance the system’s functionality and efficiency for our team.

It significantly streamlines and standardizes our entire audit process, offering a centralized repository for all audit-related documents. This not only enhances efficiency but also ensures consistency across audits. Additionally, supervisors can effortlessly monitor the progress of each engagement, enabling real-time oversight and facilitating timely interventions when needed.

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

I like that you can move Control, Risk, and procedure objects by dragging and dropping them within a project. It's also very helpful that batch assign and batch review multiple objects especially when you have a large audit program with many risks, controls and procedure objects.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

The one thing I dislike is the Time Tracking module as it is very clunky. I wish there was an easier way  to find all of the projects you are assigned to instead searching for each individual project in the title bar. Searching each project one by one takes way to much time. There needs to be a display screen to show ALL projects you are assigned to and be able to add time based on each phase of the project.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving our audit management problem. It's easy to navigate and has a good workflow process to manage audit projects. The performance is pretty good as there are very few errors or issues. Customer support is very responsive when I reach out.

  ### 7. Simple interface, reports via API, and very good support

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

The interface is easy to use and the browsing history is really useful, especially when I'm working on several projects at the same time.

The reporting API facilitates integration; for example, with PowerBI, to generate custom reports, as it allows access to all the information stored in TeamMate+.

As for performance, it is acceptable, although I consider it one of the areas that should be improved.

The support is also very good. In my organization, we receive it through the company GLOADSO and, every time we had to resort to it, the response was very satisfactory, especially in the migration process from TamMate to TeamMate+ which was carried out smoothly and without setbacks.

Regarding the use of AI, I think its incorporation is a good idea, but it still needs to improve and be enhanced. Its use is basically limited to writing topics.

The price is reasonable and the investment in the APIs is quickly recovered, especially in reporting and information exchange.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

While it is very customizable, at times it becomes cumbersome to upload all the elements. For example, perhaps the most cumbersome is that you have to load the holidays of all the countries where the organization operates one by one and each year, and the same goes for several other issues. This can be solved with the data exchange API.

The performance is somewhat slow at times in terms of response time.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TeamMate+ is highly configurable and allowed us to adapt the tool to the audit process we have in the organization, whereas with other tools we evaluated, we had to adapt our process to the tool.

The issue of reporting was fundamental for us, and TeamMate with the reporting API solves it in the best possible way, as it provides access to all the information and allowed us to generate the reports we need in the way we want to see them and with the tool we are already familiar with in the organization.

End to end management of the audit process, Central management of audit projects, audit trails, no need for paperwork.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

I have noticed of late that it does not auto save my work like it used to. Timeouts have resulted to loss of work done which is very frustrating. I now have to remember to keep saving as I go.
Please enable auto saving.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to Teammate, each member managed their own work and had to send it to the supervisor for reviews which took time and sometimes the trail would be lost and quite some time spent in manual work like report writing. There were also variations of work done from one staff to another. 
Now we centrally manage all our projects and reviews can be done real time and a trail of all requests and reviews are maintained. It also provides a standardized platform for all our projects and automated processes such as report generation. This has resulted in about 30% of time saved, improved quality and output of work.

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

It makes it easier for auditors to upload working papers and work on the working papers while you are automatically saving them to the TeamMate file. There are lot of option on teammate where you can also show only findings, and coaching notes to prepare the report easier. It also shows you items that are not prepare and you cannot close the file before preapring everything which also helps on the Quality reviews.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

All the features of Teammate are perfect. You can even use it offline.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using TeamMate, it was more difficult to manage audit documentation, track the progress of audit engagements, and monitor the resolution of review notes. Audit evidence was less centralised, making collaboration and quality reviews more time-consuming.

TeamMate provides a centralised platform for planning audits, documenting working papers, assigning and tracking review notes, monitoring audit progress, and maintaining a complete audit trail. This has improved collaboration between auditors, seniors, and managers, enhanced the consistency and quality of audit documentation, and made it easier to monitor the status of each engagement.

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

It’s very intuitive for an auditor because it’s clearly designed around an audit workflow. It integrates the Global standards, and it works really well for both small and large teams. The onboarding and early support were exceptional, and they made our journey very smooth.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

While it’s highly customisable, relatively flexible, and generally easy to use, the biggest drawback is how it displays information for managing the audit function and producing dashboards. These features do exist, but they require manual workarounds to be truly useful.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit for us is how easy it is to track and monitor audit workflows in one platform across multiple jurisdictions. It also helps us standardise our workpapers and, with its AI integration, supports auditors in writing more clearly. On top of that, it helps us plan resources effectively and makes it easy to report on our KPIs.

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

The ability to do a risk assessment (also see the trend over time) and develop an annual plan,
The ability to track each milestone for the audits as well as see the audit trail

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

The prices - Especially hosting- the software on cloud, also that we cannot host it on our cloud.
On performance - There are a number of instances where the notifications have not been going out to the auditees hence causing us unable to follow up.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We struggled with the follow-up of audit recommendations because the previous report format was in word, However now the auditees have access to the software and can give a status update at anytime hence reducing time taken in the field during follow up exercises. 
Incase of staff exits or leave, handovers are easy since all data is available on TeamMate.

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

It’s good value for money. Support is generally adequate; although we’ve had some data issues, the support team was able to resolve them. The user experience has also improved a lot over time, which has made the product easier to use.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

We haven’t used all the features yet, since they take time to set up—especially for a small team without dedicated IT support. As a result, we haven’t set up any integrations so far. We used to have occasional issues accessing the application, but these have been resolved when we upgraded to the cloud version.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Without TeamMate, we’d have trouble tracking all open findings and staying on top of our audit status. It keeps everything organized and makes our monthly reporting much smoother.

현재로서는 기능에 대해 만족하고 있지만 UI 부분에 대한 개선이 있었으면 합니다, 예를 들면 디자인, 글꼴, 사용자 편의 등. 글꼴이 너무 단순해서 이쁘지가 않아요, 마치 웹페이지를 사용하듯 디자인도 세련되게 개선 했으면 합니다. 완전히 적응 되는데 일년 정도 걸린 듯 합니다.

What I like best about TeamMate is that it makes audit work more organized and easier to track. It helps in managing tasks, documenting findings, and monitoring progress in one place. It also improves teamwork because everyone can see updates in real time. Overall, it saves time and makes the audit process more efficient.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

TeamMate is okay to use, but it takes some time to get familiar with its features. It can also be challenging to locate certain functions.

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

Teammate’s workflow features are extremely helpful, and the dashboards are great. We’ve been able to customize the software to fit our specific audit methodology for risk assessments, which has made it easier to align the tool with how we work. I do wish there were more integrations with AI/Intelligence features. Overall, the app performance has been excellent—we can have up to ~120 users at a time, and there’s never an issue handling the workload.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

There are certain tactical steps that are annoying for a reviewer. For example, when I review a pdf document, it always checks out the document by default. I have to then go and clear the check out before I can sign off on that document. I wish there were more AI integrations. There is no artificial intelligence or connections in with our AI tool - CoPilot. We are working on figuring out how to use the TM database as a data source for our Copilot tool.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TeamMate solves are version control issues. It has also helped us solve issues related to tracking CoPilot usage or various other methodology changes have been easy to add custom fields/flags to track.

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

Easy to use. Platform easy to add workpapers, track audits, with progress checker in place. Can also easily search auditable entities for team collaboration.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

One downside of TeamMate is that certain workflows can feel rigid and require several clicks to complete routine tasks, which can reduce efficiency. Some reporting and customization options could be more flexible, and integrations with other systems can be limited at times compared to newer cloud-based platforms. Although the interface is generally well organized, a few features are not easy to find without prior experience, which can add to the learning curve for new users. Improvements to automation, AI-powered functionality, and overall system performance would help strengthen the user experience.

TeamMate helps us address the challenges of managing audit engagements, keeping documentation consistent, and tracking audit progress across multiple projects. Before using TeamMate, audit information was harder to organize and monitor, which increased administrative effort and raised the risk of inconsistencies. We end up relying on trial and error to figure out where the bug might be hiding.

The structure and the ability to modify viewpoints within engagements for purpose, such as control or risk overviews. The system functions well and with the update allowing you to drag documents between controls or risks is a huge improvement. It integrates well with third party apps such as MS Office and Adobe. The pricing of the program is commensurate to the functions that TM provides, though their sales process and the outlining of their price tiers/offerings could be more easily laid out without having to inquire with a sales representative. Support functions are easy to access and helpful. I appreciate the depth of detail provided by the help function embedded within TM. My department has yet to utilize any Artificial Intelligence functions within TM yet, but we will likely expand to include this in the future as it becomes more inherent in our processes.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

There are times where TM+ gets stuck or has an anomaly during normal use. Most often, we run into issues around permissions and access within engagements. I feel this has improved over the past year, but for a while we had auditors-in-charge who had full access over the engagement so that we could appropriately correct workpapers with minor updates and not have to require the initial preparer to mark prepared for an update that had no material impact to the workpaper or it's outcome. I'm currently struggling to find a proper solution so that all auditors on our team can see all engagements (open and closed) in the project section. I have a workaround, but am a little surprised there isnt a general setting within user roles and rights to control user project visibility (beyond just tying it directly to assignments)

I like that it supports SSO, it supports adding multiple compliance frameworks/programs and we can tie programs, controls and risk records all together. The tasks functions are granular, as we can assign and keep track of remediation items. We can also set different task types, so we can set tasks specific to risk treatment plans, continual improvements, etc. The pricing was very reasonable and the platform performs well and is very responsive. Support is very reachable and helpful and they've even customized some items for us.

TeamMate has been very useful for our team. As an Internal Audit Manager, I can easily track my team’s audit projects and stay on top of progress across each engagement. The approach also feels agile, which makes it easier for auditees to provide their responses to audit findings in a timely, straightforward way.

For me, the least helpful feature as a user is the Agile or storyboard function.

All documentation and tracking for the Engagement Lifecycle is in one place, including MAPs, as well as auditee tracking and the ability to close out outstanding MAPs.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

The user interface is a little cumbersome, but the MAIN issue is that you can’t preview attachments. Every time I want to see what’s attached, I have to download a local copy to my computer.

Also, on the Procedure Summary page, attachments appear in the table, but nothing happens when you click them. You can’t preview or download the attachments from there.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One Platform for complete audit lifecycle and Approvals, tracking timelines, as well as Follow up and completion of open action items.

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

TeamMate helps structure audits by keeping all information in one tool. It also provides the opportunity to perform risk assessments for the audit plan and supports auditors significantly with follow-up tasks. Moreover audit reports are generated automatically based on the input during the audit.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

At the moment, TeamMate does not support the Dutch language. As a result, any AI-based text improvements and translations have to be done outside the tool.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to struggle with creating risk assessments and an audit plan because everything was manual. With TeamMate, it’s now integrated, and everything syncs easily. The automatic notifications to the business for following up on recommendations are also a major improvement compared with the manual effort previously needed to send emails and reminders.

It is customizable which works well for operational audits.

The width of the Title column in projects should be allowed to go wider. It often cuts off the titles of our tests and then I have to click on each one to read the full title to see what it is I am needing to look at.
The SmartCheck box always popping out instead of staying hidden. My company does not use and I have to minimize it every time I click into a step.
Follow-up could be improved. It seems more rudimentary compared the rest of the program.

It stores our audits for us. We do not use any other features, it is just for storing workpapers and documenting sign-off.

The dashboard tool is helpful to visualize status of projects, findings, etc. The interface within audits is helpful to monitor detailed status.

The reporting is limited in what fields you can bring into it. At times, I find myself extracting data and moving it to Excel to create more usable reporting and metrics. The user interface from the most recent update is less user friendly, I would prefer the older format. The license fees are probably comparable to competitors, but I am not sure I believe it provides equivalent ROI.

I work in a globally dispersed department, so it provides a single source of truth for status of projects and tracking of audit findings across our teams.

It has been generally reliable.  It has most of the features we need and are able to customize enough to meet our needs.  It is easy to access and use for the most part.

There are certain things that are not customizable that would help make things easier for us.  They got rid of a prepared/reviewed tracker that we appreciated.  THe user interface changed a couple years ago and I liked the old one, although im getting used to the new one and can appreciate the benefits.

It is our system of record for audit workpapers.  I dont have a lot of experience with other solutions, but this certainly beats our prior manual method.

TeamMate Analytics has been one of the most valuable tools in our audit toolkit. Its Excel-based interface is intuitive and easy to pick up, and the extensive library of audit tests helps automate routine analysis while quickly uncovering risks that might otherwise be missed. It saves a considerable amount of time during planning and testing, strengthens audit coverage, and delivers reliable, repeatable results. Being able to analyse large volumes of data efficiently has improved both the effectiveness and overall quality of our audits.

The primary areas for improvement are the user interface and performance when working with large datasets. Some advanced functions require significant training to use effectively, and the reporting and visualisation capabilities are less modern compared to other analytics platforms. **What do you like best about TeamMate?**

Ability to customize and modify the software to align with the department processes and terms.  Generally, it's the ability to turn on and off features of the product to build simplicity and alignment on IA processes.  For example, simplifying the data entry windows and turning off fields is very important.  For the fields that are kept, the ability to rename is great.  While TeamMate is very robust and complex, for a smaller team, all the features is overwhelming and just not relevant.  Over time, I would pick and choose new features to enable to mature our organizations use of the product on an annual basis.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

One area that should be improved is the automated email functionality (notifications). The existing engine is very basic and we've had to do many work arounds to leverage the functionality. I've had many issues when the email template was corrupted, and the auto reminders for open issues did not go out. I'd like to set non-standard timeliness for issuing emails instead of "30 days before quarter close" as it is setup. Likewise, the format of the email is so basic, I have to make extra efforts to management to prep them that the TeamMate reminder email is not SPAM. The email font, spacing, and overall look options is outdated.

I enjoy that TeamMate continues to improve their product by introducing new features and capabilities.  The most benefit is the ability to extract the Audit Management Action Plan data for use with outside reporting software.

**What do you like best about TeamMate?**

I like the ability to search for workpaper files and objects via keyword search. I also like the ability to quickly change views by switching from Project to Workpaper Status Management. This allows me to quickly see the status of each workpaper file and whether they are signed off on as completed and reviewed. I also like the ability to sort on Workpaper State, which allows me to quickly see what workpapers are and are not in a 'Reviewed - Accepted' state.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

It can take a while (at least 30 seconds) just to open each file within TeamMate+. I've also noted that the TeamMate+ Excel Add-In we currently use causes Excel to take 5-10 more seconds to open than without the Add-In enabled.

**What problems is TeamMate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My department uses TeamMate+ to store and manage audit workpapers and facilitate the audit process, including planning and completion. It helps with workpaper retention for continuous monitoring and annual risk assessment, and also supports audit staff time reporting and project scheduling.

I like that TeamMate+ eliminates the need for manual tracking of audit activities and reduces the complexity of managing multiple versions of working papers. It enhances collaboration among my audit team and ensures that all audit evidence is stored securely and in an organized manner. I also appreciate that it provides a single, centralized platform for managing the entire audit process, making it valuable because all audit-related information is stored in one secure location, which eliminates the need to work with multiple spreadsheets and shared folders.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

At times the system is slower than expected especially when uploading large supporting documents. Also progress/changes are not always saved even when you press the save button. You need to press it more than a few times before it gets saved. Bit of challenging but came alright.

The system configuration lacks flexibility; it feels too rigid and doesn’t leave much room for adjustment. The system also lacks AI capabilities. Integrations come at an additional cost, and performance is okay overall. Support and the onboarding process are well managed.

The flexibility of the configuration options is improving, but only up to a certain point. At the moment, we use the system mainly as a repository for working papers, and we also rely on it for our follow-up audits. I really appreciate TeamMate+ for organizing our assigned engagements effectively. The ability for me as a supervisor to easily check each auditor's assignments is invaluable. I also like the dashboard that provides a comprehensive overview of my projects and lets me know if a sign-off is necessary. The dashboard's capability to show the status of our work plan, such as how many of my 12 audit engagements are ongoing or haven't started, helps me prioritize and decide which projects require follow-up with my team. It's also convenient that, unlike the old TM, with TeamMate+ I can access a complete view from assessment to monitoring with just a password.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

I find the time tracking to be of limited value since we do not bill clients for the hours spent, unlike external audit. We have a Power BI, but it is not linked or connected with TeamMate+.

I appreciate how TeamMate+ serves as a repository for all our work papers, providing us with one consolidated platform for workflow, risk assessment, and allowing stakeholders, including our regulators, to review work papers as necessary. While setting up TeamMate+ was not overly difficult, having strong in-house technology support is important in ensuring the implementation of TeamMate+ goes smoothly.

**What do you dislike about TeamMate?**

There are certain limitations with its ability to report on data within the tool and challenges in scheduling resources and managing overall capacity planning. There's a limited number of data points and limited UI configurability, which means we can't track everything we want to track in the tool, and we can't configure where we track data exactly where we want it.
