"Efficient CRM for Sales Ops, Needs Better Integration"
4/5
What do you like best about Teamgate?

What I like best about Teamgate is that it’s a lightweight, sales-focused CRM built for real day-to-day operational work, instead of being overloaded with fancy unnecessary features that mid-sized companies like ours never actually use. Unlike bulky enterprise CRMs that require IT help for every small change, Teamgate lets me handle most system configurations completely on my own. The custom field editor is super user-friendly, so I can create, adjust, and organize our building material-specific fields — such as product lines, bulk discount tiers, project delivery regions and quotation versions — without waiting for technical support. This flexibility is really helpful for our B2B construction sales workflow. Besides that, its clean pipeline interface is perfect for our field sales team. Our reps spend most of their time visiting contractors and hardware wholesalers across Hessen, so they don’t have time to learn complicated systems. Teamgate’s straightforward layout lets them instantly check pending quotes, follow-up tasks and ongoing project statuses. New sales members can get fully comfortable with the tool in just a few days, which greatly lowers my training and supervision workload. I’m also really satisfied with Teamgate’s customer support. Whenever I run into issues with data imports, dashboard filtering or field settings, their team gives clear, step-by-step solutions instead of generic replies. Overall, it fits our company size and industry needs perfectly. It focuses on solid pipeline management, standardized deal recording and simple operational reporting, exactly what we need for long-cycle building material B2B sales. What do you dislike about Teamgate?

First off, the pricing structure feels pretty steep given the feature set we actually use. As a 51-200 person company focused purely on sales operations, we don’t need fancy add-ons, yet the per-user cost adds up quickly when rolling it out across our full field-sales team. It becomes a tough talking point internally whenever we want to bring on new sales reps; management often pushes back on expanding seats because of the running costs. Compared to competing CRMs in the same category, you get less built-in industry-specific functionality out of the box for that price point. A second pain point is limited native German-language and Germany-centric compliance functionality. The UI can switch to German, but parts of error messages, export logs and support articles still default back to English. For some of our older field reps whose English is basic, this creates confusion. More importantly, there aren’t native built-in controls fully aligned with GDPR for our B2B client records. I have to build manual work-arounds for data retention rules, like creating custom reminder tasks to archive old contractor project records. There is no automated workflow that purges or anonymizes expired client data automatically. That extra compliance burden lands mostly on my plate as sales operation specialist. Additionally, reporting capabilities stay really limited when you need layered, industry-specific analysis. Teamgate’s native dashboards cannot cross-filter multiple custom fields together natively. It would save so much working time if they supported multi-dimension filtering directly within built-in dashboards, without forcing constant exports. Bulk record editing is another frustrating constraint. The bulk edit tool only touches standard system fields; nearly all our custom building-material-related fields cannot be modified in bulk, forcing me to open each deal record one-by-one to adjust tags, material categories or expected delivery quarters. A lot of reconciliation, copying-over and manual validation falls to me, simply because deep native integrations are not available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
