What sets it apart is the ability to build and manage truly risk-based compliance workflows that can be tailored to different third-party types, risk scenarios and business processes. Rather than forcing organisations into predefined workflows, Spektr gives compliance teams the flexibility to design processes that align with their own risk framework and operating model.
One of the most valuable features is the level of ownership it gives the compliance function. We can make both minor and major workflow changes ourselves without relying on lengthy support requests or development cycles. In many other platforms, even simple adjustments can require weeks of turnaround time. With Spektr, we can quickly adapt our processes as regulatory requirements, risks or business needs evolve.
The platform is intuitive and user-friendly, which makes day-to-day case management straightforward and significantly reduces the learning curve for new team members. Despite supporting sophisticated workflows and risk logic, the user experience remains accessible and easy to navigate.
The implementation experience has also been exceptional. We approached Spektr with an ambitious timeline to set multiple third-party onboarding and ongoing due diligence workflows. The team quickly understood our priorities, helped us scope the solution, and worked closely with us to deliver within tight deadlines. In particular, my implementation manager, Marc, has been outstanding. He is proactive, knowledgeable and highly engaged, not only building solutions but also taking the time to explain the logic behind them. This approach has enabled us to become self-sufficient and confident in managing and enhancing the platform ourselves.
As with any major implementation, there have been occasions where issues or unforeseen outcomes arose. What has impressed me most is the responsiveness of the Spektr team. Marc and his team have consistently acted with urgency, communicated transparently, and worked tirelessly to resolve issues and minimise disruption. That level of partnership has given me confidence that we are working with a team that is deeply invested in our success.
From a professional perspective, Spektr has changed how I think about compliance technology. It enables compliance professionals to take ownership of the full lifecycle of a process, from risk assessment and workflow design through to execution and ongoing monitoring. I would not describe this as a dislike, but rather an area where I would like to see further development. As the platform continues to evolve, I would welcome a more comprehensive and frequently updated knowledge base, particularly for users looking to build complex workflows from scratch.
While the platform is highly intuitive for day-to-day use, some of the more advanced configuration and workflow-building capabilities still require a degree of technical understanding or product-specific knowledge. Additional self-service guidance, best-practice examples, and deeper documentation would help accelerate the learning curve for non-technical compliance professionals and enable organisations to become self-sufficient even faster.
That said, whenever we have encountered knowledge gaps, the Spektr team has been highly responsive and willing to provide support. The strong customer engagement has largely mitigated this challenge, but a more extensive library of training materials and implementation guidance would make an already strong platform even better.
