What do you like best about Speakable?

Speakable has the capability of rating samples using the ACTFL proficiency scale and providing students with detailed feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Speakable?

Speakable is off to a good start but has a lot of issues -- sometimes the voice-to-text transcriptions are WAY off, I've had students be told they were not speaking the target language (when they were) and that their samples were not long enough (when they were), etc. But on the bright side, complaints to the company seem to be received and answered quickly and helpfully even to the extent of taking suggestions for future updates. What problems is Speakable solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a world language teacher, getting students more speaking practice is crucial but it can be very tedious to keep the recordings organized and give appropriate feedback. I still need to listen to them all, but having transcripts helps greatly, not to mention the fact that AI can give them feedback and ratings. I also appreciate having the prompts set up so next year will be a breeze! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
