"Flexible Surveys with Powerful Branching and Real-Time Analytics"
4/5
What do you like best about Sogolytics?

What I love most about Sogolytics is how flexible and practical it is for our day-to-day digital commerce implementation work at InsureNova Digital Solutions. As a Digital Commerce Implementation Lead, I build custom insurance storefronts, tweak product configurations and refine online policy enrollment journeys for our clients. To keep improving those builds, I need to collect focused feedback from QA teams, internal developers and end insurance customers, and Sogolytics makes that whole process really straightforward without messy setup.

What stands out to me is its robust branching logic and fully customizable survey layouts. We recently launched a refreshed Optimizely insurance storefront with updated policy enrollment flows and new customer segment settings. After going live, I put together a UX feedback survey in Sogolytics for users testing the new enrollment process. I set up conditional rules so respondents only see questions relevant to their experience. For instance, if someone mentioned they got stuck at the auto insurance product configuration step, the survey would automatically pull up follow-up questions to narrow down exactly what part of the flow felt confusing. This way we got really specific, actionable feedback instead of vague, generic comments.

I also like the real-time analytics dashboard. There’s no waiting around to compile results or sort through messy spreadsheets. I can instantly see response trends and pick out recurring UX pain points across different customer groups. From that post-launch survey, we quickly noticed first-time policy buyers found the add-on coverage selection a bit overwhelming. We took that feedback and adjusted our Optimizely storefront, simplifying the product configuration screen for brand-new users.

Beyond end-user surveys, I use Sogolytics for quick internal check-ins with our dev and implementation team. It’s easy to gather input on workflow bottlenecks, project roadblocks and tool pain points. The ready-made professional templates save me a lot of time, and the survey pages work well on mobile so testers and clients can submit feedback whenever they have a spare moment.

Overall, Sogolytics smooths out our entire feedback collection and review workflow. It cuts down hours of manual data sorting, lets us validate changes to our insurance storefronts using real user input, and helps us keep polishing those online policy enrollment experiences to deliver better results for our clients. What do you dislike about Sogolytics?

The first big issue is the clunky report customization. I often need to segment survey responses by user group, like separating first-time policy applicants from returning customers, so I can see how each group experiences our Optimizely enrollment flow. The built-in reporting options are pretty rigid. I can’t easily create custom filters and save them for reuse. Last month, after we rolled out updates to our auto insurance storefront, I ran a post-launch user survey. I had to rebuild the same filters every single time I wanted to check new incoming responses, which ate up a lot of my time. Exporting segmented data also tends to mess up formatting, so I always end up cleaning the spreadsheet manually afterwards.

I also find the platform’s page loading slow when working with long, multi-branched surveys. Our UX questionnaires can get fairly detailed because we need to walk users through each step of the policy enrollment journey. When I add multiple conditional logic rules, editing the survey becomes laggy. There were a couple times where my edits didn’t save properly, and I lost sections of the questionnaire I had built. It was really disruptive since we were on a tight deadline to collect user feedback before our next Optimizely sprint.

Another small but annoying point is the limited styling options for branding. We send these surveys to actual insurance customers, so it’s important they match our brand look and feel. Sogolytics only offers basic color changes, and I can’t fully embed our brand assets without things shifting around on different screen sizes. Some users mentioned the survey felt disconnected from our storefront experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
