I work in IT, but astrology has been a personal interest of mine for many years. I've spent a lot of my free time studying it, making notes, collecting interesting observations and trying to understand different approaches. At some point I started thinking that maybe I could do something more with all that knowledge instead of just keeping it to myself.
The problem was that I had absolutely no experience creating or selling online courses. I didn't even know where to start.
Then I came across an ad for Softbook and decided to try the trial version, mostly out of curiosity. I honestly wasn't sure whether anything would come of it.
What I liked was that I could start organizing my materials into actual lessons without having to build a website or figure out a bunch of technical things. Even though I work in IT, I really didn't want my hobby to turn into another technical project.
That first experiment eventually became a small additional source of income for me. And probably the nicest part is that I now have people who are genuinely interested in learning something I've been passionate about for years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly, I haven't had any real complaints about Softbook so far.
The hardest part for me was actually organizing my own knowledge. I had years of notes and observations about astrology, but turning all of that into something structured and understandable for other people took more time than I expected.
But that's not really a problem with Softbook. The platform gave me the tools I needed, and figuring out what and how I wanted to teach was my responsibility. So when it comes to the platform itself, I'm genuinely happy with my experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
