"Softbook Makes Course Management Easy and Keeps Us Focused on Learning Quality"

What do you like best about Softbook?

What I like most is how much of the day-to-day course management I can handle myself. We run a small online school, so I don't have a technical team sitting next to me every time I need to update a lesson, prepare a course for launch or change something for students.

With Softbook, I can go in, organize the content, check the course from the student's side, make the changes I need and move on. That's important for me because our courses are never really "finished." We regularly improve materials based on student feedback, add examples or adjust lessons when something isn't working as well as we expected.

I spend less time thinking about the LMS itself and more time thinking about the quality of the learning experience, which is exactly how I want it to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Softbook?

As our course library has grown, I've noticed that some routine updates can get a little repetitive. If I need to make the same type of change across several courses or reorganize a larger amount of content, there are moments when I wish I could do more of it in bulk instead of going through things one by one.

It isn't something that causes serious problems for us, and for normal day-to-day updates Softbook is very comfortable to work with. It's more something I notice now that we're managing more content than when we first started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Softbook solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main problem Softbook solves for us is having one clear place where the learning side of our business actually lives. Courses, materials, student access and the everyday management around them don't need to be held together with several different tools. For a small team, that makes a huge difference because I can manage most of the learning operations without building a complicated system around the LMS.

The mobile app was also a pretty important addition for me. Before it, I was happy with the platform, but I probably would have rated the overall experience a little lower. Having a mobile option makes the whole product feel much more complete, especially from the student side. Learning isn't tied to sitting at a computer anymore, and that matters when you're creating courses for working adults.

With the web platform and mobile app together, Softbook now covers pretty much everything we need to run and deliver our programs. It feels less like we're using a tool to host courses and more like we have a proper learning environment that can grow with the school. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
