This can happen at anytime. Sometimes, it's because of a problem with something. Sometimes I need to get a partial shot of one of my PLR documents. Other times, I create help pictures for someone struggling with a program, so they can use it properly. Snagit makes it easy to add text or arrows or callouts so the picture can be as helpful as possible. I probably use it most days. **What do you dislike about Snagit?** Quite honestly, I can't think of anything. Snagit is a very useful, budget-friendly product and does what I need. My print screen button keeps being disabled or taken back over by Windows or something, I have no idea. I just know that one day print screen will launch SnagIT, and the next day it will do nothing and all of the SnagIT settings are correct and I can't get it to work for days or weeks. The most used tool is the "copy to clipboard", In a daily basis, we work scientific documents where we need to extract segments of content from different sources most of them PDFs files, "the grab text" is our favorite tool, instead of typing, this saves us a lot of time. On the other hand, the capture video tool is very useful whether you need to capture short videos or to create a new one from captured content without to deal with complex video editing tools. Of course, this is not for professional video editing tool. Finally, snagit is a very user-friendly tool, even for non-techie people; our SME like it very much. Once in the tool there are so many ways to customize the image that are very intuitive. Blur, cut out white space, magnify a specific section and the ability to create a custom template with my branded color palette for arrows, boxes and more! **What do you dislike about Snagit?** I haven't figured a way to easily "cut out" or "object erase" from the tool. If there's something in the background you don't want you can remove it through blurring or copy/paste colors over the top then blur the edges etc. I haven't found the feature to simply highlight and erase like our phones have. **What problems is Snagit solving and how is that benefiting you?** SAVES ME TIME!!! I live in the screen capture world and some of our content is posted online so I can use full scrolling images. SnagIt makes it very easy to complete scrolling captures for use. The ability to scale items, cut and paste, layer, flatten and modify is simple. I really do like it. **What do you dislike about Snagit?** My only complaint is the ability to make diagonal straight lines. If you image capture prior to flattening it keeps things crisp. I also wish the Step Stamps didn't auto populate at times. It is a minor annoyance. Complicated shapes are also a little tricky. **What problems is Snagit solving and how is that benefiting you?** I create work instructions with our ERP System (SAP) for training and instructional purposes. These are maintained in Word documents and Adobe PDFs. Cleaning up images and modifying screen captures to simplify the Work Instructions. ### 30. It's perfectly integrated into windows. Just hit the "print" Button and you can start taking a capture. I use it mostly for feedback loops on technical details for my clients. I screenrecord constructions and talk over the video content or I make screenshots with it and edit them in the snagit editor which automatically pops up when you made a screenshot or video. When ready I can copy paste the content to an email or whatsapp. Also for technical documentation it's great. I just can take screenshots of details. Mark important areas in with the snagit editor and copy paste this content to my document. For my own education I frequently use it to make screenrecordings of classes. Sometimes the content is so much that it's good if you can replay some parts of it, for example to follow a tutorial of a teacher. When you start a screen recording you can easily decide if you would like to record your mic, your cam or just system audio and the screen/window you selected. For me it was absolutly no effort to impement the workflow of snagit into my daily work. It is much better than for example snipping tool and has a lot more feature. I only had a problem one time when my laptop battery ran out of power when I was in a screenrecording. I was in a hotel room and did not think about the power going off when I take my keycard from the room. So the recording did not show up in the editor. The online customer support helped me within minutes. **What do you dislike about Snagit?** Absolutely nothing. The software does exactly what you would expect it to do and does it with ease and perfectly. **What problems is Snagit solving and how is that benefiting you?** It makes my life much easier for discussing technical details remotly. I just make a screenshot and mark the detail I want to highlight in the snagit editor that pops up immediatly after taking the capture. Or I make a videocapture and just talk to the technical details in my construction. This helps a lot in feedback loops. I use it also for creating video documentation of the software I'm coding. I host these videos for my clients in the cloud so they can just access them and teach themselfs. ### 36. Whether it's the colored boxes or blurred effects, it makes it easy in a technical setting to show highlight or hide information from your screen. It's also easy to just copy that image into a Teams message or email without saving to your computer's Pictures folder. **What do you dislike about Snagit?** If I had to pick a downside, is that sometimes it takes a bit of time to capture with SnagIt versus using the Win+Shift+S function that's defaulted in my computer. **What problems is Snagit solving and how is that benefiting you?** There are two problems that SnagIt helps with. Number one, the ability to highlight or box important issues in an image for troubleshooting. There's no default app that has tools this readily available and transferrable to different programs on your computer. Number two, the ability to hide information. The capture dialog box can lock up for a second or two as you're selecting, and don't even *think* about trying to annotate a large image that you can import from elsewhere - the editor will just fall over and die. There are some misc. quirks with annotations, such as if I'm using the line tool, I can't continue the line from a previous line, because it moves that vertex instead of continuing to draw. There have been some persistent bugs such as Snagit forgetting about my keybinds, or just stopping working until I reboot the computer, though these have been resolved pretty quickly. **What problems is Snagit solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps me quickly share, crop, and annotate content, as well as dealing with videos.
