What do you like best about Smokeball?

We transitioned from TrialWorks to Smokeball within the last year, and the difference has been significant. The software is modern, intuitive, and clearly designed with law firms in mind. We primarily handle personal injury cases, and Smokeball has been an excellent fit for our workflow, helping us stay organized and efficient. What has impressed me most, though, is the company itself. Their support team is responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping firms succeed. They also actively listen to customer feedback and regularly implement user suggestions, which makes it feel like the platform is constantly evolving to meet the real-world needs of legal professionals. What do you dislike about Smokeball?

No software is perfect, and there are always features or workflows that can be refined. However, one thing I appreciate about Smokeball is that when users identify opportunities for improvement, the company actually listens. Several areas where I initially wished for additional functionality have since been improved through updates. What problems is Smokeball solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before moving to Smokeball, we were spending far too much time on administrative work—managing tasks, tracking deadlines, searching for information, and working around the limitations of our previous case management system. Smokeball has streamlined our workflows by keeping case information, documents, communications, tasks, and deadlines organized in one platform. In our personal injury practice, that has meant greater efficiency, clearer visibility into each case, and less time lost to manual processes. The automation and workflow tools help our team stay on top of key deadlines and next steps, while the reporting and organizational features make it easier to manage a growing caseload. Just as importantly, Smokeball continues to improve the product based on industry needs and customer feedback, so the platform keeps getting better over time.
