You can build anything much like you can do in excel but there are also built in templates you can customize for your project. All the formulas and features of excel are built into smartsheet so you can easily transfer information and projects into the program. You can't segment the sheet into different tables with alternative column headings. You get one heading per column and you can make sub headings below but you cant create another chart or segment of information below it with new column headings to represent data differently or build off the data in your sheet. This makes it hard to segregate related information and build out a sheet exactly how you want it if you are working with different types of information on one sheet.
