## Smartsheet Reviews
 ### 1. Calendar View Needs Better Weekly Navigation and Mobile Date Accuracy

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isaiah I. | Editor & Strategist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

That it has Calendar view and I can see my whole month; however, it doesn't let me go week by week when i am seeing my calendar, so i kinda hate it

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

OMG, you basically need a form or sheet given to you by your manager just to add anything to the sheet. When I check it on mobile, it always shows a date from like a year earlier, and I have to tap the day for it to jump to the current day I’m on. It also doesn’t give me a full month calendar view—only day by day—and it sucks. On top of that, the UI feels really clunky. The name gets cut off, and I can’t make it smaller or adjust it so it’s easier to read.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Just to let me know what I am doing for the month/week, but I wish you could integrate it into Google Calendar so I can have it overlay on what meetings I have and vice-versa, that would be nice.

 ### 2. Excel on Crack

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alejandra T. | Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

The creativity to make things that work for us. We are a rock-yard, so nothing is tailored to us; everything we have tried isn't beneficial or is needs more than we need. Smartsheets allow us to make things that fit our needs, user-friendly but functional. After the years it has taught us knew things also to increase our productivity.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Sometimes you need help to create genuinely dedicated sheets. It has possibilities beyond what one can think of, but it requires expert help to accomplish them. AI has helped to close that gap but I do still feel that we don't know the full potential.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This program has been a game changer. It keeps everyone in the loop about what’s happening in real time. We used to run into situations where only one person knew the status of a shipment, but now we can all look it up ourselves. There’s no need to bother that person, and we’re also not as dependent on their availability or presence. It’s even started to help my boss understand how important it is to keep evolving for our growth, and the support we get has helped win him over a little bit at a time.

 ### 3. A Game-Changer for Project Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I use Smartsheet to track my projects in a nice and neat visual way, and I like sharing this with my managers so they can assist in prioritizing tasks if needed. It makes it much easier and quicker to create a nice visual table, and it instantly shows it in other views, like a Gantt chart. I appreciate the ease of use, especially because conditional formatting is very simple to set up and all the possible variables are listed, making the setup very fast. The automations possible with Smartsheet are very good, and I plan to make more use of them soon. The initial setup was very easy, and the sharing and creation of tables is very quick.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

There is nothing I currently dislike about Smartsheet

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet to track projects visually, share progress with managers, and prioritize tasks. It's easy and quick to create visual tables and view them as Gantt charts. Conditional formatting is simple, and automations are very effective.

 ### 4. Living Documents for Easy Weekly Project Reviews and Shared Notes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caleb B. | Engineering Spec Writer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I love that you can essentially create living documents that can be accessed from anywhere and anyone can be granted access to them. It works great for us because we can conduct project reviews every week and put all notes and follow up items within it so anyone can reference those notes during the week. We put individual stakeholders into columns as responsible individuals and the UI makes it easy for choosing pre-set individuals

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

At least at my company, it's a challenge to get between project documents. I would like to be able to view all the projects even if I can't open them all. Basically I just have to go to the home page to access any of the projects I've accessed recently, but if there's a project I'm added to, I have to ask for the link rather than go through a tree of projects and access it that way.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps our company stay on the same page when it comes to projects by making all the notes from meetings visible and accessible to project associates. And it makes it easy for associates to follow up and provide more information regarding specific project issues. Our project managers find this to be very helpful for aligning the team members

 ### 5. Streamlined Collaboration and Efficient Data Filtering in Smartsheet

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hayden N. | Customer Service Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like that Smartsheet is an online shared platform that makes it easy to collaborate with others, and provides a wide range of tools/ functions that help with my day to day tasks. for example, I love that you can save specific filter presets. I manage 8 different accounts, all with different data/ information that is unique to each. I like being able to have saved filters that makes analyzing data more efficient. The integration is also very convenient. having the option for the desktop app and the web browser allows me to easily switch tabs on my browser, or for a more focused experience to use the app. The platform is very strait forward to use, and my co-workers before me were always using Smartsheet, so it was easy to learn the mechanics and getting set up. Although I have not yet used the customer support services. I feel that the pricing is pretty reasonable for a professional business tool, and I definitely get my use out of Smartsheet to justify purchasing it every year. I have not personally encountered any AI intelligence while using Smartsheet yet.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

In terms of performance, I have noticed that the web version is a bit slow at times, especially with other users in the spreadsheet. However, I am often working on fairly dense spreadsheets with a few thousand rows of data to load. Also a few weeks ago when I was attempting to login at the start of the day it wasn't recognizing my email and password combination. I attempted to reset my password but every time I went into the Microsoft sign in page it said there was an issue signing in. So now every time I need to sign in it requires me to get a code sent to my inbox that I need to copy in order to sign in. A minor inconvenience to how I used to log in but still an inconvenience.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I know that Smartsheet is implementing AI into the software progressively, but as of right now how I use Smartsheet I am not getting a lot out of their AI implementations. But in the coming future when AI is more prominent I am hoping it will help me/ give me recommendations of how to manage things better in my workbooks.

 ### 6. Smartsheets Makes Collaboration and Automation Effortless

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dianna C. | Patient Recruitment, Retention Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheets is much more collaborative than other programs I've used, including Excel. The user interface is simple and understandable. Once you learn to really use Smartsheets the automation possibilities are endless!

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Data visualization hasn't had many improvements in my 6+ years using Smartsheets. The options are minimal and not always the best visuals. There are also data limits when it comes to large datasets over a certain amount of rows. I wish there were better out of the box templates to work with too. The templates included are few and not the best for what needs to be done most times.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheets provides a real-time collaborative environment for my coworkers to utilize simultaneously. It makes remote working much easier, and I image the same to be true for in-person teams.

Smartsheet Forms is wonderful (though I wish there were more customizations and options available). This allows certain teams to send input and the receiving team to view those requests in an organized fashion.

 ### 7. Easy to Learn, Powerful Automations That Save Us Time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vera P. | Automation integration, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I love how easy these are to learn. Since I’ve never been the best with forms or spreadsheets, I was able to figure out how to use it pretty quickly. The automations are also straightforward and easy to set up. The pricing for our enterprise account is very competitive and I have been able to gain so much time back at work. I have been able to automate processes that have been tedious and ensure accuracy of information. My team is actively now using the dashboards as well as the workflows and it's been great. We have integrated it with out site and registration portals and the results are almost immediate. So far haven't needed any support or onboarding assistance for setting any of it up.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Sometimes it lags when you have been in it too long.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used it to handle tedious manual tasks by automating intake forms and linking them to outside web pages and similar resources. It saves me about 70% of my workflow time.

 ### 8. Unmatched Performance and Shareability—A Vital Tool for Our Marketing Team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jillian S. | Creative Marketing Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

As a marketing professional, my favorite part about Smartsheet is the shareability and the ability to attach any marketing or brand asset to a topic or row so my team can easily review and collaborate in one place. The performance is unmatched, and Smartsheet is utilized at every level within my organization. It has become a vital tool that we will always need in our toolbox.

Going from Excel to Smartsheet was a smooth transition because the platform feels much more intuitive and user-friendly. I especially appreciate the automation features, which help streamline workflows, notifications, and task tracking without needing to memorize complex Excel formulas. For project management and team collaboration, I find Smartsheet much simpler and more efficient to use.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One challenge I’ve experienced with Smartsheet is around account and ownership management. After an older license tied to some of our projects was accidentally deleted, we lost admin control over several sheets. While the projects are still viewable, managing permissions and ownership became difficult since the original admin account no longer exists. It would be helpful if there were a simpler recovery or reassignment process for situations like this.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps solve many of the project organization and tracking challenges that come with working across multiple teams and locations. It gives everyone one centralized place to view progress, updates, deadlines, and attached assets without relying on long email chains or scattered files. Since our teams can sometimes feel spread out or disconnected, Smartsheet has improved visibility and collaboration by making it easy for everyone to stay aligned on projects and responsibilities in real time.

 ### 9. Smartsheet Makes Data Collection and Issue Tracking Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tawnee S. | Retention Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I think Smartsheet makes it easy to create and automate customer- or employee-facing forms for collecting and monitoring data. It’s very user-friendly, and you don’t have to be especially tech-savvy to use it.
We use it internally for tracking customer issues, customer feedback on service performed, as well as pulling system data and sharing it in multiple ways.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One limitation I’ve personally experienced with Smartsheet at All N One is that the platform can be glitchy at times. For example, we created a customer issue tracking form that is supposed to collect issue details from customer service and automatically notify our production and operations managers. However, when users click the form link, it often opens the backend editing view instead of the actual front-facing form. The only workaround is usually closing out of it and reopening it several times until it loads correctly. While Smartsheet is useful for organizing workflows and communication, issues like this can create frustration for employees and slow down day-to-day operations.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to collect customer data, whether it’s service issues or feedback on how we performed a job. When the job is complete, the customer receives an automatic notification prompting them to rate how well we did. We use this information to give shout-outs to employees when work is performed well, or to address issues and make it right with the customer when the feedback is negative. Overall, we use it in many aspects of our day-to-day business, and we also use it for weekly reports from our sales agents.

 ### 10. Easy-to-Use Yet Powerful Project Management with Dashboards, Automations, and Reports

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikodem C. | IT Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like most about Smartsheet is how easy it is to use while still being very powerful. The spreadsheet-style layout makes it familiar and simple to understand, but it also includes helpful project management features.

The features I find most useful are dashboards, automations, reports, and shared sheets. Together, they let me track tasks, deadlines, and overall project progress in one place. Automations are especially helpful because they save time and reduce the need to send lots of manual reminders or updates.

Smartsheet also makes teamwork smoother. Everyone can see the most up-to-date status, add comments, attach files, and update their own tasks. This keeps the team organized, improves clarity, and cuts down on confusion. Overall, Smartsheet saves time, increases visibility, and makes project management much easier.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

What I dislike about Smartsheet is that the dashboards could be smarter and feel more like Power BI. It would be really helpful to have more customization options, along with more possibilities for automation.

I also find that some of the more advanced features take time to learn. That said, having access to the API helps offset some of these limitations, since it adds flexibility and lets you work around certain gaps.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps me handle the many small feature requests that come in from my team. People often ask me to add new functions or refine existing processes, and those requests can quickly add up.

With Smartsheet, I can automate most of these tasks instead of spending time doing them manually. That saves time, cuts down on repetitive work, and lets me focus on more important priorities. It also helps the team get solutions faster when they need them.

 ### 11. Easy to Organize, Fast Sheets, and Seamless Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick I. | Export Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Easy to organize and understand.

Smartsheet positions itself as a central hub for communication all 4 parties well, meaning its success relies heavily on how well it communicates with all of us. Overall, it boasts one of the most seamless integration ecosystems we've tested this year.

For everyday project sheets, tracking pipelines, and standard templates (up to a few thousand rows), Smartsheet is incredibly snappy. Real-time updates sync smoothly across distributed team members without data conflicts, making it a reliable "single source of truth

The AI isn't just a flashy gimmick; it is a genuine time-saver built with a "human-in-the-loop" approach, meaning it always gives you a clear explanation of its logic and asks for your approval before altering your sheets.

I am not involved on price but all i can say is the job that we do day by day besis.

Easy to understand so i have not request any support from the team but I am sure the support team would be helpful.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I am only the user who sue on daily basis, nothing comment so far on dislike.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have never encountered the hardship of using Smartsheet. No comment on this.

 ### 12. A Backbone Tool: Smartsheet Automations and Formulas Replace Excel

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul W. | Food Safety Manager (Operations), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

For me Smartsheet is more than a collaboration tool. It is a tool that I can literally use in almost any department/facet of my company. It is a staple and a backbone of all of my processes. Before I look elsewhere, I try it in Smartsheet. The automations, the formulas, and more allow me to remove Excel from all of our projects and propel out work forward.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It has limitations but Smartsheet keeps reiterating and changing and making it better. I do NOT like the Primary column. I never use it. I hide it everytime. I do not like that we cannot have tabs like excel. It would make it so much easier to connect sheets, and toggle between them.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet is automating a lot of my processes which saves me a lot of time. It allows me to focus on other tasks. The other big item is that by setting up fool proof solutions, it allows me train other users that might not be proficient in smartsheet. They click a few buttons, and on the back end, I get all of the data and movement I need.

 ### 13. Smartsheet’s Powerful, Scalable Workflows with Automation and Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jasmin A. | Workflow Automation Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet provides a strong balance of usability, automation, and scalability. Its spreadsheet-style UI is user-friendly yet powerful enough for complex workflows. The platform stands out through its cloud-based system, strong integrations, centralized data management, automation capabilities, and growing AI-powered features. While pricing may be higher than simpler tools, the operational efficiency, visibility, and productivity gains deliver strong long-term ROI. Support resources, onboarding materials, and training programs also make adoption easier for teams and enterprises.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

While Smartsheet is highly powerful, some features still feel limited or lacking compared to other modern platforms, particularly in terms of flexibility and customization. Advanced setups can also have a learning curve, especially for formulas, automations, and cross-sheet workflows. Large sheets may occasionally experience performance slowdowns if not optimized properly, and certain enterprise-level capabilities can become costly for smaller teams.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps solve problems related to fragmented workflows, manual tracking, lack of visibility, and inefficient collaboration across teams. By centralizing data, automating processes, and connecting workflows in one cloud-based platform, it improves operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, accountability, and real-time visibility. This has helped streamline project management, reduce manual work, improve coordination between teams, and support faster decision-making.

 ### 14. Smartsheet: A Straightforward, Shareable Project Management Upgrade from Excel

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victoria C. | Business Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet is a better version of Excel for project management - it improves upon the experience by allowing for milestones, health scores and features that are needed for project managers. Very straightforward and simple to use - a good alternate or solution for project plans that can be easily shared and understood throughout the organization.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It can be cumbersome to use and rigid by nature - some of the rigidity is helpful like locking down rows and restricting edits. However, this rigidity and grouping of items can be cumbersome and no method to do so in bulk. Also, importing of sheets and project plans can be hit or miss as sometimes they import well but often it is not matching the branding or style and takes more time to update it for our preferences than to do so manually.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet is solving project management planning and milestones and makes it clear to business users and members of the organization what the project status and outstanding deliverables, completed items and remaining work is transparently at an organization.

 ### 15. Excel-Like Interface, Great Templates and Forms for Fast Setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sofia P. | Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet has a familiar interface, somewhat similar to Excel, so it's easy to set up quick sheets, plans, logs. It also provides plenty of templates to get started with the more complex formats, such as Project Plans, which creates the required columns and dependency links. I also really like the Forms feature, where you can create a form to collect data, and send the link out to anyone, irrespective of whether they have a Smartsheet license or not.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It is frustrating that it takes quite a long time to load in the browser to sign back in. Also, the fact that everyone needs a license to be able to contribute to the content of a sheet.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet is an interactive tool, where you can assign rows/tasks to colleagues. It replaces Excel, with its smart templates and task assignment, which makes collaboration between colleagues easier and more productive.

 ### 16. Smartsheet Keeps Projects Organized and Teams Aligned

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eduardo D. | Consultor Jr, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like most about Smartsheet is how simple it makes it to keep projects organized and everyone on the same page. I really like being able to track tasks, updates, and deadlines all in one place instead of digging through emails or multiple spreadsheets. It’s also super helpful for team collaboration and makes project management feel a lot less overwhelming.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

At first, Smartsheet can be pretty confusing to use because the platform isn’t always very intuitive for new users. Someone from my team actually had to walk me through how to use it in the beginning, but once you learn the basics it becomes much easier to manage projects and keep everything organized.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet is helping my company improve time management for billable projects by allowing us to track how much time is being spent on different tasks and activities. This helps ensure that the time invested is efficient and aligned with the scope and conditions that were originally sold to the client, while also making project tracking and team coordination much easier.

 ### 17. Smartsheet Makes Project Management Simple and Collaborative

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad O. | Salesforce Business Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like most about Smartsheet is how it simplifies project and task management. The interface feels familiar, like a spreadsheet, so it’s easy to organize work, track progress, and collaborate with team members without a steep learning curve. I also appreciate that it keeps everything in one place, which improves visibility and saves time in day-to-day work.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One thing I don’t like about Smartsheet is that some of the more advanced features can take a while to learn, especially when you’re setting up automations or more complex workflows. Also, managing multiple sheets and handling permissions can sometimes feel a bit confusing, particularly for new users who are still getting familiar with the platform.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps me keep projects, tasks, and team updates organized in one place, rather than juggling everything across different spreadsheets and tools. It improves collaboration, makes it easier to track deadlines, and reduces the need for manual follow-ups. Overall, it saves time and keeps my work more structured and organized.

 ### 18. Smartsheet Makes the Jump from Spreadsheets to Workflow Automation Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Doug T. | Project Manager & IT, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like best about Smartsheet is that it gives users a realistic path from spreadsheets into actual workflow management without forcing a complete change in how people work. The interface feels familiar enough that office staff and field users can learn it quickly, but it still has powerful, feature rich automation and reporting capabilities.

Smartsheet automations have provided the biggest workflow improvement for us. Being able to trigger notifications, status updates, approvals, and reminders automatically cuts down heavily on manual follow-up and missed communication. Smartsheet reports enable us to see a specific view of a sheet without having to manager multiple sheets.

The integrations are also a major benefit. Connecting workflows with Gmail, Google Drive, and other business systems helps keep information centralized.

Unexpectedly, one of the biggest advantages has been improving accountability and visibility between office staff and the field. Everyone can see current statuses, updates, attachments, and notes in one place, which reduces confusion and duplicate communication significantly.

Smartsheet has been an effective and affordable solution for us as our company has grown.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Although the table view is a significant improvement, I’d like to see a wider selection of formatting options within the table view in the future, along with a more functional calendar/Gantt format without having to obtain additional add-ons.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet has greatly reduced our duplication of effort and improved communication, allowing us to keep more data in one place. It has also helped us create forms, sheets, and tracking systems for our fleet, warehouse, tools, and hardware. Overall, it’s become a playground where we can build and refine solutions that fit our needs.

 ### 19. Excellent Workflow & Project Management Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michiel V. | Practitioner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like best about Smartsheet is the ability to automate and centralise our workflows in one platform. It allows us to generate reference numbers, track projects and help desk requests, and automatically communicate updates to the relevant departments without manual follow-ups.

I also really value the accessibility of the platform. Being cloud-based means I can access important project information from anywhere, whether I’m in the office, on-site, or working remotely.

Another standout feature is the visibility it gives across multiple developments and teams. It keeps everyone aligned, improves accountability, and makes reporting and tracking progress far more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One area where Smartsheet could improve is the learning curve when setting up more advanced automations and workflows. While the platform is extremely powerful, some of the more complex features can take time to fully understand and configure correctly.

There are also times where customisation feels slightly limited compared to fully bespoke systems, particularly when trying to tailor highly specific reporting layouts or workflows.

That being said, the overall benefits and efficiency gains far outweigh these minor frustrations, and the platform continues to work extremely well for our operational needs.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A app would be great - if not already, and I might not know about it.

 ### 20. Versatile Tool with Easy Setup, Minor Customization Limits

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gesabel G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I use Smartsheet for a lot of things like project trackers, timelines, inventory management, asset management, content trackers, and even run of shows. It's easy to use in many cases and allows us to share sheets easily with people both within and outside of our organization. Smartsheet makes it easy to gather information in forms and automate it as well. I really like the ability to create dashboards to curate information visually. It's valuable for managing multiple projects simultaneously, grouping related sheets, and for presentations when we need to showcase data and information. The initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It has some limitations for customization. Customization of the sheets toolbar is limited, you can only make certain changes to the whole row versus individual cells and vice versa. I think it lacks a little in the timeline aspect as well, in order to automize it.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet for project trackers, timelines, and inventory management. It solves management and tracking issues and simplifies sharing sheets. It helps gather information, create dashboards, and automate tasks, which is valuable for managing multiple projects and presentations.

 ### 21. Efficient, User-Friendly Project Management with Powerful Dashboards and Automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rafael P. | Program Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like best about Smartsheet is its intuitive UI/UX and the simplicity of its dashboard, which makes project tracking, reporting, and workflow management highly accessible even for users without advanced technical expertise. The platform offers clear visualizations, customizable dashboards, and easy-to-navigate tools that allow teams to quickly monitor KPIs, deadlines, and operational progress.
Its integrations with widely used platforms such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Slack, and other enterprise tools significantly improve collaboration and centralize workflows. In terms of performance, Smartsheet is reliable and efficient for managing both simple and complex projects, especially when coordinating multiple teams or large-scale operational initiatives.
From a pricing and ROI perspective, Smartsheet delivers strong value by improving productivity, automating repetitive tasks, and enhancing organizational visibility, which can save substantial time and operational costs. Support and onboarding are also notable strengths, with accessible learning resources, templates, and customer service that help organizations implement the platform effectively.
Finally, Smartsheet’s growing AI and automation capabilities add further value by streamlining processes, generating insights, and reducing manual administrative work. Overall, its balance of ease of use, functionality, and scalability makes it a highly effective work management solution.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

While Smartsheet is a powerful platform, there are some areas that could be improved. From a UI/UX perspective, although the dashboard is intuitive, certain advanced features and administrative settings can feel less user-friendly and may require a learning curve for new users. Some workflows or automation configurations can also become complex without prior experience.
Regarding integrations, while Smartsheet connects well with many major platforms, some integrations may require additional setup, third-party connectors, or premium plans to unlock full functionality, which can limit accessibility for smaller teams.
In terms of performance, large sheets or highly complex workspaces can occasionally experience slower load times, especially when managing extensive datasets or multiple automated processes simultaneously.
Pricing can also be a concern, as Smartsheet may feel expensive for smaller organizations or nonprofits with limited budgets, particularly when advanced features, premium integrations, or enterprise-level capabilities are required.
Support and onboarding resources are generally strong, but some users may find that fully leveraging the platform’s more advanced functions requires additional training or time investment.
Finally, while Smartsheet’s AI and automation tools are improving, they may not yet feel as advanced or comprehensive as some competing platforms that offer deeper predictive analytics or more sophisticated AI-driven insights. Overall, while Smartsheet is highly effective, improvements in affordability, advanced usability, and AI sophistication could further enhance the experience.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet solves major challenges related to project organization, workflow management, and team collaboration by centralizing tasks, reporting, and operational tracking into one platform. Its intuitive dashboard and user-friendly interface make it easier to monitor progress, manage deadlines, and maintain visibility across multiple projects, reducing the fragmentation and inefficiencies that often come with using multiple disconnected tools.
This has significantly improved productivity, accountability, and decision-making by streamlining communication, automating repetitive processes, and providing real-time insights. The platform’s integrations and scalable functionality also support long-term operational growth, delivering strong ROI through time savings, better resource management, and more efficient execution of complex initiatives.

 ### 22. Smartsheet: flexible sharing, easy to use, and very fast support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Massimo A. | Sr. Automation Engineer (EMEA), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

The most useful aspect for me is the ability to share parts of the projects with specific collaborators, who can contribute even without necessarily having a Smartsheet account.

Moreover, the ease of use from the start, the different views, and the dynamic summaries offer a toolkit that genuinely helps and saves time. Not to mention the performance and the fact that it is used from a browser: it is cross-platform and therefore viewable anywhere.

Also, the uploading of content from Excel was immediate, allowing me to effortlessly integrate pre-existing parts of the project. The price is certainly competitive when compared to other solutions on the market.

The AI allows you some simplifications, such as graphically displaying project details, but in my opinion, it still needs to grow.

Finally, the support is extremely fast and competent. I especially appreciate the new features that continue to enrich the offering: sometimes it's almost difficult to stay updated.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One aspect I would like to see further developed is the management of project tasks. For example, the ability to link specific tasks in an end-to-end manner and not just end-to-start.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me a lot to manage similar projects in parallel, using automation workflows as real agents for managing changes and deadlines.

Moreover, the creation of dashboards for presentations updates dynamically: once the dashboard is set up, you no longer have to worry if you're asked for a presentation at the last minute. Everything is already ready; just keep the tasks updated.

 ### 23. Smartsheet Dashboards: Clear, Well-Organized, and Improved Fast from Feedback

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michal T. | Executive Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Project dashboards and task sheets provide a great workspace with well-structured tables and clear organization. I’m also happy to see that Smartsheet continuously updates both the platform and the dashboards.

One thing I especially appreciated was how responsive they were to feedback — after I reported that some numbers in dashboard charts were overlapping and hard to read, the issue was fixed within about a month. That really impressed me. Now my project dashboards are much clearer, readable, and easier to work with.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Sometimes backup processing can take longer than expected. Also, some of my colleagues occasionally had issues logging in, although I personally have never experienced this problem myself — just mentioning it for transparency.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps us manage, track, and document projects and workflows in one place. It gives me a clear overview of ongoing projects, task lists, current progress, and planned changes. This makes it much easier to stay organized, prioritize work, and keep track of what needs to be done and what is coming next in our projects.

 ### 24. Helpful Automation for Task Tracking, Though Adding Columns Feels Clunky

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anna Mharie B. | Senior Sales Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I find Smartsheet very useful, especially because of its automation features, which I’m still getting familiar with. It’s been really helpful for tracking work and tasks without needing constant email follow-ups with everyone involved. I also like that you can attach documents to each item, which makes it even more efficient and helps keep everything in one place.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Since I’m still new, I find it a bit difficult that I can’t add more than one column at a time. I’m still getting familiar with Smartsheet.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I previously used Access to create a master list for follow-ups, I still had to generate reports and then email the relevant people about tasks that were coming due. With Smartsheet, I can use automation instead: I set a trigger, and it automatically sends a reminder to the task owner.

 ### 25. Intuitive Smartsheet Boosts Team Efficiency

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meryem K. | Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I think it's very user-friendly and the user interface is charming. It's easy to use, and it's nice to present to a project team. It's still easy for other people to see and understand, and they don't need to figure out many things. It's easy. The initial setup was very easy. I also like how Smartsheet ensures that the dates, tasks, and everything are managed profoundly with its planning capabilities, dependency management, and notifications which make follow-ups effortless.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I see AI getting improved. It would be very good if we can use it more, like if it would be easier to use and solve more problems. But other than that, I don't think it has, a big problem. Maybe dashboards can be improved.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet makes planning easy by managing dependencies, tasks, and dates efficiently, sending notifications and follow-ups automatically, and generating reports on time very effectively.

 ### 26. Smartsheet: Intuitive Spreadsheet Feel with Powerful Project Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Quentin D. | Finance Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like best about Smartsheet is how it combines the familiarity of a spreadsheet with powerful project management and collaboration features. It’s intuitive to get started, but still robust enough to handle complex workflows.

In particular, the ability to automate processes, track tasks in real time, and collaborate easily with different stakeholders makes it very efficient. Features like dashboards and reporting also help turn data into clear, actionable insights, which is especially valuable for monitoring progress and supporting decision-making.

Overall, it strikes a good balance between ease of use and functionality.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

What I dislike about Smartsheet is that, while it’s powerful, it can become complex and less intuitive when you start using more advanced features. Setting up automations, formulas, or cross-sheet references often requires a bit of a learning curve.

Another drawback is that performance can slow down with large sheets or complex workflows, which can impact efficiency. The interface can also feel less user-friendly compared to more modern tools, especially for new users.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps solve the problem of scattered information and lack of visibility across projects. Before using it, tracking tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities across different teams could be fragmented and time-consuming.

With Smartsheet, everything is centralized in one place, which improves transparency and alignment. It allows real-time tracking of progress, clearer ownership of tasks, and easier collaboration between stakeholders.

 ### 27. Easy-to-Share Sheets with Helpful Guidance and Strong Project Monitoring Tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ilias C. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

There are several tools available to help monitor a project and prepare it effectively. Each sheet you create is easy to be stored, see changes of history, but also share it to people outside the organization. Sheets can be exported. While creating a sheet, a basic guide and instructions are available on how to make most of it and structure it in a correct way. AI options are also available, however I have not yet made used of it.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It is a bit hard to understand the full capacity and the difference between all the sheets that can be created. I have also tried grouping - putting sheets into specific folders, but I have faced some difficulties.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps my daily monitoring but also long term monitoring of my projects. I can review the progress of it, track the milestones, set deadlines and communicate easily inside the company. Daily schedule is implemented and all relevant stakeholders can simply be informed through Smartsheet for their completion.

 ### 28. Streamlines Project Management & Tasks with Ease

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gokul S. | Engineer II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I love the look and feel of Smartsheet and how simple it is to create automations and workflows. Sharing is easy too. Making automations is straightforward, and the forms allow me to gather detailed information from anyone. The automations are not just for sending emails but also for sending request forms, reminders, and more. For projects, I set up automations that send emails to action owners to update their actions, which saves me from having to remind them myself. The initial setup was really easy for us. I like the fact that it has got a direct connection to PowerBI so I can create more advanced dashbaords if required. I never got any issues with the server or lagging or much of bugs it was more on the functionality that is lacking. The cost is pretty high too if we want to implement it but if the client is okay with this tool then it is a good recommendation for large and medium sized companies.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I find that making the dynamic dropdown better with a better interface would be an improvement. Also, copying columns easily with the conditional formatting is an issue. I'm not able to create multiple columns at once, and I can't copy the type of the columns—I have to create it every time. There is no option of creating new workspaces with a templated version and if I need that I might have to go and create using control center which is again cost effective.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet for project and program management, including tracking actions, milestones, costs, and deadlines. It’s especially helpful because it automatically sends email updates and reminders to action owners, which makes it much easier to stay on top of tracking and follow-ups.

 ### 29. Streamlined Reporting with Smartsheet

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike S. | Senior Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

It has a wide range of applications and is able to create bespoke solutions that are easy to use. The cell history function and the ability to amend permissions (admin, editor, viewer, etc) make governance and auditing easy. The annual cost of member seats is reasonable and making viewers free has meant that it is a system that the whole business can use. Reporting can be as simple or sophisticated as required but the control centre tool allows you to aggregate data for many workspaces into one report. Having a database has reduced duplication in work and the whole system has made our processes more streamlined and efficient. The online support and training videos were crucial to get our system going. Cheetah Transformation were a pivotal third party company that helped us develop our solution and introduce best practice. In the future, we are looking at how Smartsheet can integrate with our other systems. Performance is generally good with the occasional delay in pulling data from sheets to dashboards, but this resolves in time.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It is a relatively new software for the business so we haven't had the chance to find anything we dislike.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has reduced duplication of work, streamlining processes and making them more efficient.

 ### 30. Flexible, Easy-to-Use Project Management with Powerful Automation and Dashboards

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krishnendu D. | Solution Architect - Solutions, Consulting & Engineering (SC&E), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet’s biggest strength is its flexibility and ease of use. It combines the familiarity of a spreadsheet with powerful project management features, making it easy to track tasks, timelines, and dependencies without a steep learning curve. The automation workflows, dashboards, and reporting capabilities provide strong visibility and help streamline coordination across teams.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Least helpful / downsides:

Limited depth for complex projects – Not as powerful as tools like MS Project or Jira for advanced dependencies, resource planning, or large-scale programs
Performance issues with large sheets – Can slow down when handling heavy data or multiple linked sheets
Cost scales quickly – Licensing can become expensive as more users and features are added
Basic UI for advanced use – While simple, it can feel restrictive and less intuitive for complex workflows
Reporting limitations – Dashboards are good, but deep analytics and customization are somewhat limited
Automation constraints – Useful, but not as flexible as dedicated workflow automation tools
Dependency management is not very strong – Handling complex inter-project dependencies can be cumbersome

In short:
Great for structured collaboration, but not ideal for highly complex project management or large enterprise-scale planning.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps centralize project tracking, task management, and reporting in one place, reducing reliance on scattered spreadsheets and emails. It improves visibility across teams, streamlines coordination, and enables better tracking of timelines and dependencies. This results in more efficient project execution, clearer accountability, and faster decision-making.

 ### 31. Intuitive and Effective for Project Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela Z. | Mechanical Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like that Smartsheet is very intuitive and easy to use. I like that it allows you to integrate project management functions that facilitate the tracking of activities. The assignment of responsibilities, the ability to establish subtasks, and set deadlines for each activity are tools that improve the effectiveness of control. Additionally, its interface is very similar to Excel, which helps a lot because I am already familiar with the environment that Smartsheet offers. With the initial access, everything was smooth, Smartsheet is very user-friendly and allowed me to sign up without any issues. So far, I haven't needed support for any problem, it has worked without any issues.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Even though its interface is very similar to Excel, applying more advanced functions can be a bit less user-friendly. The interface is indeed fast, very dynamic, but its price can be a bit high. In this particular case, the company only maintains licenses for people who really use it for cost savings, so the price can indeed be high even for companies.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet for project management. Having a tool like Smartsheet has helped me achieve my objectives and action plans for project development. Additionally, with its AI integration, it makes it faster for me to apply the functions I need for my day-to-day tasks.

 ### 32. Flexible, Easy-to-Use Collaboration and Workflow Automation in Smartsheet

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Annaliza M. | Customer Success Coordinator II, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like most about Smartsheet is its flexibility and ease of use. It combines the familiarity of a spreadsheet. It also allows real-time collaboration, which helps keep everyone aligned

The most helpful aspect of Smartsheet is its ability to centralize information and automate workflows. Features like reporting tools make it easier to manage projects efficiently and reduce manual work.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One thing I don’t particularly like about Smartsheet is that it can sometimes feel a bit unintuitive, especially when setting up more advanced features like automations or dependencies. It’s not always immediately clear how certain functions work, so there’s a bit of trial and error involved.

Additionally, having to frequently re-enter a password when logging in can be inconvenient and slightly disrupts the user experience.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps solve the challenge of managing multiple projects, tasks, and stakeholders in a single, organized platform. Instead of relying on scattered spreadsheets, emails, and manual tracking, everything is centralized in one place.

This benefits me by improving visibility and coordination, as I can easily track project progress, deadlines, and updates in real time. It also enhances collaboration, since multiple team members can work on and update the same sheet simultaneously without confusion.

 ### 33. Customisable Platform That Improves Efficiency

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin . | Training and Quality Administrator/Admin Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Flexible—can be used for almost any process. Automations help reduce manual work, and it’s easy to track jobs, tasks, and overall progress. The dashboards and reports provide good visibility, and collaboration stays in one place with comments, attachments, and updates. It’s also customisable to fit how the business works, and it integrates with other systems.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

There’s a steep learning curve, and it can be confusing at first—especially for new users. It often feels like “Excel but harder.” Some advanced features cost extra and require add-ons, and it isn’t fully real-time, so updates can lag. If it’s not set up properly from the start, things can get messy quickly. Overall, it still feels limited compared to dedicated project tools, and some tasks end up needing complex formulas or workarounds.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves manual tracking issues by keeping all jobs, tasks, and updates in one place. It reduces double handling and admin work through automations, and it improves visibility into progress and status for the whole team. It also helps prevent missed tasks, delays, and follow-ups by keeping everything organised and up to date. Overall, it creates more consistent processes and reporting across jobs, and it makes collaboration easier with notes, attachments, and updates all managed within the same system.

 ### 34. Smartsheet Makes Sharing Proofs and Design Approvals Effortless

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hannah H. | Senior Graphic Designer and Social Media Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I am a graphic designer and social media manager at the university I work at and I love that I can share and send proofs to my colleagues through Smartsheet. It makes it much more convenient to move forward with designs when there is a space like that dedicated to approving and asking for revisions of designs.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Sometimes I have trouble figuring out automations that will send information to people when it comes to timelines and due dates.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think it is helping our team be a little more streamlined and organized. Especially when it comes to utilizing comm flows for big events on campus. It also helps me specifically when it comes to scheduling my content for all social media on campus, as that is my main job.

 ### 35. Useful tool for project planning and clear accountability

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** roberto P. | IT consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Integrated login with Microsoft account. Clear accountability of the actions to be done. Visual of the status by means of utilizing colors depending on the status of the task.
The application is quick enough to lead.
Don't have info concerning the pricing as it is managed at a corporate level.
So far the application use has been smooth so no support has been necessaray.
No artificial intelligence is being leveraged during our use (we use it for a project tracker)

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It could be more granular in telling what is the pending tasks or the new ones rather than just sending an email saying "there are new ones".

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a good tool for project planning, it'd be nice to have some dashboard for the completion perecentage, outstanding items, etc..

 ### 36. Clear, Structured Project Planning Overview with Detailed Task Assignments

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like that it’s possible to create a clear, structured planning overview for projects, where you can specify multiple details such as dates, equipment, and who tasks are assigned to.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The indents and outdents are sometimes a bit finicky, so it takes some time to adjust. On the right side, when there are many lines, it can sometimes be difficult to read. Also, on the right side I’d like to see the exact date instead of only the weekday.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps us create higher-quality project overviews, timelines, and schedules. It saves us a lot of time to have everything clearly set up in Smartsheet, instead of having to build it from scratch in Excel, for example, which takes extra time just to get the layout right. We also like using the option to save projects as templates, so we can reuse them for similar projects. That way, we spend less time setting up the project schedule and activities each time.

 ### 37. Smartsheet has been a gamechanger

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** K M. | Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet has made my life so much easier. It has been so easy to install and set up, and can set up a new sheet so easily. There is also great support to get to grips with the tool so easily, with regular webinars and online tutorials to help with any issues I might have or answer questions. I use smartsheet on a daily basis and is now an essential software in all of my day-to-day tasks. I love how it can make my tasks and reports look more aesthetically pleasing. It makes presenting and planning so much easier, especially as it is so easy to share to anyone in the business. It also makes collaboration on tasks much more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The only negative thing I can see is that sometimes the taskbar can take a while to understand and find where actions are, so needed to take time to refer to some videos to find the actions that I wanted.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was resorting to Excel to produce status reports and project manage, which looked very basic and didn't always visualise the message that needed to be conveyed. Whereas in Smartsheet, there are so many different ways to visualise these plans, and easily share with the stakeholders involved. It is also great to have one place that is easily accessible to maintain that we always have one source of truth with these plans

 ### 38. Good Data Aggregation, Simple UI - Best Project Management App!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick M. | Senior Manager - PMO, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like Smartsheet's simple user interface, and it's something I'm very comfortable with. It's easy to navigate and familiar because I've been trained in other applications. I enjoy that it's accessible to most people and that contributors don't need a license to update the project plan, which is helpful.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I think the application itself is a little bit clunky. Sometimes it's slow to react, and I have to refresh it. The auto save function is a little bit intermittent on the website itself, so I think that could be fixed up. I'd like to see more theme options as well and easier to brush templates.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet to bring data together in one place, which makes it much easier to build and maintain dashboards for executives.

 ### 39. Powerful Sheet Linking and Gantt View That Simplify Project Tracking

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander O. | Seniors Business Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet provides useful functionality for connecting multiple sheets, for example through the lookup function. This makes it easy to pull data from different sheets and link it together in a clear way.

In addition, the Gantt view available in all sheets combines familiar features from MS Project and MS Excel within a single sheet.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It can quickly become quite complex when you’re connecting several sheets into one. Because of that, it’s probably worth spending some time setting up views to keep things manageable. Performance can also become cumbersome, especially with a large sheet and multiple people working on it at the same time.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It connects data sources, filters out the right data, and gives you a timeline with a Gantt view at the same time. Because of that, it’s quick to learn and easy to use—almost like a plug-and-play approach.

 ### 40. Easiest Way To Organize The Whole Project

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manish P. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like most about Smartsheet is how it seamlessly combines the familiarity of a traditional spreadsheet with incredibly powerful intelligent work management tools. In my experience, managing multiple client delivery projects simultaneously can get overwhelming, but the platform's portfolio-level dashboards give me real-time visibility into everything at once. I’ve found the integration capabilities to be a massive time-saver, allowing me to connect daily apps like Slack, Google Workspace, and Salesforce without constantly switching tabs. The AI-powered intelligence is another standout feature that helps me analyze complex project data and build tailored solutions, even when I don't have the time to act as a technical expert. Whenever I need to coordinate with different departments, the centralized intake and approval workflows make cross-team collaboration completely frictionless. It has definitely become the backbone of my daily routine, keeping my entire team in sync and focused on hitting our project milestones.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

While I genuinely enjoy using the platform, there is definitely a bit of a learning curve when you start diving into its more robust capabilities. From time to time, setting up complex intelligent workflows or configuring the advanced resource management tools can feel slightly overwhelming for my less technical team members. I've noticed that getting the custom reporting formulas exactly right requires some trial and error, which might slow things down during the initial onboarding phase. The user interface is generally clean and professional, but occasionally it can feel just a little bit cluttered when you have massive amounts of data and dependencies loaded into a single view. Additionally, navigating their expansive template gallery to find the exact starting point you need can sometimes take a few more clicks than I'd prefer. Overall, these are minor concerns and don’t significantly affect my experience once the initial setup is complete.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before I started using this tool, tracking cross-functional IT and marketing projects meant hunting down status updates through endless email chains and completely disconnected spreadsheets. Smartsheet solves this headache by acting as a single, centralized hub where everyone can instantly see workload balancing, capacity planning, and live task dependencies. This has made it much easier to manage resource allocation and ensure that my team isn't overburdened during critical project sprints. For instance, fixing bottlenecks remotely is now just a matter of glancing at our Kanban boards or Gantt charts and making quick adjustments, which saves us countless hours that used to be wasted in repetitive status meetings. The automation benefits have been massive, drastically reducing the manual effort required to generate progress reports for our leadership team. Ultimately, it has transformed our scattered, manual processes into a highly efficient system, allowing us to deliver reliable results to our clients with much less stress.

 ### 41. Efficient and Intuitive, But Occasionally Slow

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ramasubramanian G. | Graphic Packaging Creator, Graphic Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I appreciate Smartsheet for its ability to help me manage my workload efficiently, allowing me to consistently meet deadlines. I rely on Smartsheet to maintain detailed project information, track progress, and organize multiple tasks all in one place. The intuitive interface and robust filtering options are standout features. They enable me to sort and view the most relevant information quickly, without the confusion that often comes with navigating complex sheets. This clarity and level of organization have noticeably boosted my productivity. The filtering capabilities are especially advantageous, making it easy to manage large sets of project data effectively, no matter the system or location. The ability to instantly view tasks by deadline, priority, or team member is invaluable for ensuring timely and appropriate action. Furthermore, I find Smartsheet to be more efficient and convenient than other platforms, such as Excel or Google Sheets, which is why we made the switch. The initial setup was also impressively swift, taking just a few minutes.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I find that Smartsheet takes a bit longer to load or refresh data, which can be problematic. The occasional downtime is particularly disruptive during meetings, occurring at least three times a month.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet to manage project communication, efficiently plan teams, and meet deadlines. Its intuitive interface and powerful filtering options help organize tasks and boost productivity.

 ### 42. Smartsheets for everyone

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shannon M. | Senior Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like that Smartsheet offers premade templates that I can tailor to my project, so I don’t have to start from scratch. I also really appreciate the feature that lets me move rows up and down by clicking and dragging, which makes organizing my sheets much easier. Overall, Smartsheet is great for building dashboards.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Sometimes it isn't easy to link multiple projects or templates together as blanks without pulling old information or relinking items each time. I would like it if it was easier to link multiple template sheets together to work as a group.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet serves as a centralized place to store data so our team can easily access it and add additional information, which helps keep everyone on the same page. We’re also able to use templates to ensure our work stays consistent and uniform across the team.

 ### 43. Smartsheet Brings Structure, Clarity, and Collaboration Together

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adita D. | Project Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like most about Smartsheet is how it combines structure, clarity, and collaboration in a single tool. It can handle everything from detailed project tracking to straightforward team coordination, which makes it easier to stay aligned and transparent, and to keep priorities clear as work evolves.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

From a project perspective, the only downside is the initial setup effort required to build structured sheets and workflows. Once established, they significantly improve visibility and consistency.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet solves the problem of fragmented work—where plans, updates, and responsibilities are spread across emails, documents, and conversations. It brings everything into one shared, visible space, which makes it much easier to track progress, manage dependencies, and keep everyone aligned. For me, this has meant clearer accountability, better visibility across projects, and far less time chasing updates, allowing more focus on delivery rather than administration.

 ### 44. Nice project management tool for project schedules.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like the live training sessions they offer, to show different things you can do within Smartsheet. I also like that it creates a Gantt Chart with the schedule.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I don't like how difficult it is to view the Gantt Chart with the project tasks, dates, etc. You always have to scroll left and right to view things, which makes it more tedious. I also do not like the way that it saves documents, it is a little unuser friendly, but once you get the hang of using it, it really isn't that difficult. Just wish it were more intuitive.

**Recommendations to others considering Smartsheet:**

I think it is a good project management tool, but definitely takes some learning to really utilize it to be the most effective.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Used for project management, creating project schedules. Benefits are project tracking, viewable to all stakeholders, you can assign tasks to stakeholders or project SMEs, the Gantt chart is useful for project updates to show status of project. You can share the workbook(s) with stakeholders.

 ### 45. Essential for Remote Teams, Powerful Automation and Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenny L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I use Smartsheet for all aspects of my work with PSA, and it's essential to our business. I love how all of our linked sheets are valuable because they populate from one to the next. This is crucial for our fully remote team, allowing everyone to see what we need. I also appreciate how 'smart' Smartsheet is. It's incredible with its formulas and the ability to auto-trigger emails and other tasks, which helps us collaborate with clients and vendors. I find the formulas, functions, forms, Microsoft Teams integration, and Google integration extremely valuable.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

This was my first time using it with PSA so I would have really appreciated better learning and training manuals. It looks very daunting at first. I would have appreciated tools that pop into your email as soon as you make the account. Hard at first. There were lots of different teams we had to figure out how to use and train our clients and partners too.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet to track projects, get approvals, trigger DocuSign, and link with Google Drive. It helps our remote team by linking sheets that populate from one to the next, so everyone can see what they need.

 ### 46. Customer Support No Longer Exists and No Longer Small-Business Friendly

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachael T. | Executive Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Nothing anymore. They used to appreciate small businesses and curtail their services to companies of any size, but that is no longer the case. They do not care about a company that pays for fewer than 15 paid members.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Their SEVERE lack of customer service, and blatantly ignoring support that a customer needs because the problem has become too difficult or because it's no longer worth their time.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They were TRYING to help my company move from an annual paid business membership to a monthly paid membership. Doing this would have resulted in more money for them in the long run. But once they figured out that EVENTUALLY (6+ months), we were going to move away from SmartSheets altogether, they stopped helping and just ignored all emails asking for help. This process should have been extremely simple. We've had virtual meetings, exchanged emails for 3.5 MONTHS, and have had the issue (supposedly) 'upgraded' to a higher-up individual on 3 separate occasions -- and yet, still no resolution. Apparently, if you want any meaningful help with your account (technical or administrative) while already being an established Smartsheets customer, you have to pay MORE for any level of 'technical support'.

 ### 47. Smartsheet Streamlines Complex Licensing Workflows with Powerful Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Business Supplies and Equipment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

We use Smartsheet to manage foster home licensing, approvals, documentation tracking, and workflow coordination. Overall, it has been an effective tool for organizing complex processes that involve multiple staff, deadlines, and compliance requirements.

**User Interface / User Experience (UI/UX)**
Smartsheet has a clean and familiar spreadsheet-style interface, which makes it relatively easy for new users to learn. The ability to switch between grid, card, calendar, and dashboard views helps different team members work in the format that best suits their role. While some advanced features can take time to learn, the overall user experience is intuitive and helps keep large amounts of information organized.

**Integrations**
Smartsheet integrates well with common business tools such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and cloud storage platforms. These integrations help reduce duplicate data entry and improve communication between departments. Automated notifications and workflows also help keep projects moving without relying solely on email communication.

**Performance**
Performance has generally been reliable. Sheets load quickly, updates occur in real time, and multiple users can collaborate simultaneously. This is especially helpful when tracking licensing requirements, document collection, and home approval statuses across multiple staff members and locations.

**Pricing / Return on Investment (ROI)**
While Smartsheet may represent a significant investment depending on the size of the organization, the time savings gained through workflow automation, centralized tracking, reporting, and improved accountability provide strong value. The platform helps reduce administrative burden and improves visibility into work progress, which supports more efficient operations.

**Support / Onboarding**
The onboarding process is straightforward for users familiar with spreadsheets. Smartsheet provides helpful training materials, tutorials, and knowledge base resources. Customer support has been responsive when assistance is needed, and there is a strong library of documentation available for troubleshooting and learning advanced features.

**AI / Intelligence**
The AI capabilities continue to evolve and show promise for helping summarize information, generate formulas, identify trends, and automate repetitive tasks. These features have the potential to further improve efficiency by reducing manual work and helping users quickly analyze data. As AI functionality expands, it could become an even more valuable part of the platform.

**Overall**
Smartsheet is a versatile project and workflow management platform that provides strong visibility, collaboration, and organization capabilities. It has been particularly valuable for managing complex licensing and compliance processes where multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and documentation requirements must be tracked accurately.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

While Smartsheet is a powerful platform, there are some areas where it could be improved.

User Interface / User Experience (UI/UX)
Although the spreadsheet-style layout is familiar, some advanced features are not always intuitive. New users may need additional training to fully understand workflows, automation rules, dashboards, and reporting functions. Certain tasks require navigating through multiple menus, which can create a learning curve.

Integrations
Smartsheet integrates with many common business applications, but some integrations require additional setup, premium connectors, or administrative support. Organizations with highly customized systems may need extra effort to achieve seamless integration.

Performance
Performance is generally strong, but very large sheets with extensive automation, formulas, attachments, or linked data can occasionally become slower to load and manage. Complex workflows may also require ongoing maintenance to ensure everything functions as intended.

Pricing / ROI
For smaller organizations or teams, pricing can be a challenge. Some advanced features, connectors, and premium capabilities are only available in higher-tier plans, which can increase overall costs. Organizations need to actively utilize the platform's automation and reporting features to maximize return on investment.

Support / Onboarding
Basic onboarding is straightforward, but fully understanding the platform's advanced capabilities can take time. Users often need additional training to take advantage of automation, dashboards, and reporting. While support resources are available, some organizations may benefit from more hands-on implementation guidance during initial setup.

AI / Intelligence
The AI features are promising but still developing. While they can assist with summaries, formulas, and workflow recommendations, they may not yet provide the same level of advanced intelligence found in some newer AI-focused platforms. There is still room for growth in predictive analytics and more sophisticated automation suggestions.

Overall
The biggest challenge with Smartsheet is balancing its flexibility with its complexity. It offers a wide range of capabilities, but organizations may need dedicated time for training, setup, and process design to fully realize its value. Once implemented effectively, the benefits often outweigh these challenges, but there can be a learning curve for new users.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps our organization solve several key business challenges related to licensing, compliance tracking, and workflow management.

The biggest problem it solves is visibility and organization of complex processes. Licensing a foster home involves numerous steps, including applications, background checks, training requirements, home studies, inspections, document collection, approvals, and ongoing renewals. Smartsheet provides a centralized location where staff can track progress and quickly identify outstanding items.

It also helps address communication and coordination challenges. Multiple team members, supervisors, and departments may be involved in the licensing process. Smartsheet allows everyone to access current information, reducing confusion, duplicate work, and reliance on lengthy email chains.

Another important benefit is deadline and compliance management. Automated reminders, task assignments, and status tracking help ensure required documents, certifications, and licensing activities are completed on time. This reduces the risk of missed deadlines and improves accountability.

Smartsheet also helps solve reporting and oversight challenges. Leadership can quickly view dashboards and reports to understand licensing pipelines, caseloads, pending approvals, upcoming renewals, and workload distribution without manually compiling data from multiple sources.

Finally, the platform improves operational efficiency by reducing manual tracking and administrative work. Instead of maintaining separate spreadsheets or paper records, staff can manage information within a single system, allowing more time to focus on supporting foster families and children.

Overall, Smartsheet helps us improve organization, communication, compliance tracking, accountability, and efficiency across our licensing and home management processes.

 ### 48. Flexible and Robust Platform Boosting Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ADITYA B. | Associate Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like Smartsheet's ability to combine project management, collaboration, and workflow automation into a single platform. The spreadsheet-style interface is easy to use without a steep learning curve, making it intuitive for task management. I find the automation features particularly beneficial as they reduce repetitive manual work by handling reminders, updates, and approvals, enhancing team efficiency. The dashboards and reporting tools are great for quick project visibility and tracking. I appreciate the real-time collaboration features that allow team members to share updates, assign tasks, and communicate within the same workspace. The flexibility to customize workflows and dashboards to specific project requirements is also a strong point. Additionally, Smartsheet integrates well with tools like Microsoft Teams, Slack, Jira, and Google Workspace, which makes communication and workflow continuity smoother across different platforms. Overall, I enjoy the balance between usability, flexibility, and productivity that Smartsheet offers.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One area where Smartsheet could improve is in the advanced reporting and dashboard customization capabilities. While the current reporting features are useful for general project tracking and visibility, there are times when more flexibility in filters, visualizations, and data presentation would make the platform even more powerful for complex workflows and analytics requirements. Another challenge is that some advanced automation setups and large-scale workflow configurations can feel slightly complex for new users at first. Performance can also occasionally slow down when working with very large sheets containing extensive data, multiple automations, or numerous linked dependencies. Additionally, certain integrations work very well, but deeper customization and synchronization options with third-party tools could make cross-platform collaboration even smoother.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet centralizes project tracking and team communication, reducing manual follow-ups and confusion. It enhances visibility, accountability, and productivity with real-time updates, automation, and dashboards, allowing focus on execution over admin tasks.

 ### 49. Smartsheet is a powerful project management and collaboration platform that helps teams organize tasks, track progress, and automate workflows. Its spreadsheet-like interface makes it easy to use, while dashboards, reporting tools, and integrations improve productivity. It is especially useful for managing projects, timelines, and team communication efficiently.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John J. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I really like Smartsheet's ease of use and flexibility, especially its project tracking dashboards, automated workflows, and real-time collaboration features that help keep teams organized and informed. The customizable reports and notifications are also a great feature, making it easier to monitor deadlines, track progress, and improve overall productivity. Additionally, integrating Smartsheet with other tools helps streamline communication, share files, track project data, and improve collaboration across teams.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One area where Smartsheet could improve is its pricing, which can be expensive for smaller teams or organizations. Some advanced features also have a learning curve and may require additional training for new users. Additionally, the reporting and dashboard customization options could be more intuitive and offer greater flexibility for complex projects.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Smartsheet helps in tracking project deadlines, coordinating tasks, and maintaining project visibility. It reduces scattered updates from emails and spreadsheets, making it easier to identify delays. The scheduling tools and automated reminders keep projects on track and improve accountability.

 ### 50. Centralized, Trackable Content Sharing That Beats Outdated Excel Tables

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christie B. | Training Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Sharing online content that can be tracked and used by multiple users across different roles. All relevant information for these roles can be stored in a singular location, each user just refers to data relevant for them. Tracking function is useful for projects and assignments opposed to outdated excel tables. Help articles are easy to find and refer to for support.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Creating new workspaces can be time consuming when setting column types according to needs. Sometimes I feel like I don't utilize the full capabilities of the platform as I'm not aware of them i.e. integrating with other tools.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to share information live. Needed a location outside of locked team folders to share relevant information to other teams, this allows us to do that.
