## Smartsheet Reviews
  ### 1. Streamlined Project Management, Needs Better Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alonzo F. | Senior Travel Manager, Leisure, Travel & Tourism, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet has really improved visibility over our travel project pipeline with its trackers and dashboards, so I'm not chasing status updates anymore. The forms have turned endless email chains into a clean, trackable workflow, and my team collaborates more easily now that everyone looks at the same live data. I love the dashboard visibility, as I can see every active itinerary, approval status, and supplier deadline in one place without having to chase updates. Building trackers and forms is super quick, and I've created ones in an afternoon that would have taken weeks in a shared spreadsheet. Since switching from Google Sheets and Excel, the automation features have saved my team hours every week. The initial setup of Smartsheet was very easy, and we've integrated it with Outlook for calendar syncing and approval notifications.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The main problem for me is the lack of solid integration with our SAP setup. I'm forever bouncing between Smartsheet and SAP, copying figures back and forth just to make sure the travel budgets actually match what finance has on their end. Managing schedules alongside budget tracking, vendor costs, and labor allocation in one view is harder than it should be, and I usually end up exporting data just to make it all line up.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet provides visibility over our project pipeline, transforms emails into a trackable workflow, and enables real-time collaboration with live data.

  ### 2. Real-Time Updates and Fast, User-Friendly Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marina C. | Social Services Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like how it shows real time updates and allows me to collaborate with my colleagues on a fast and user friendly level.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The only thing i dis like is that sometimes, for large documents specifically, its difficult to read. I wish the user interface would be made simpler so tat these larger documents could be more user friendly and easier to interpreted. Sometimes the notifications, tool bar etc. get a little bit overwhelming.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It puts everything all in one place! Before my company had multiple different areas where we would store documents. Especially physical copies which made it difficult to send to some collages who were located in other offices. Smartsheet saves us a drive and a headache!

  ### 3. Easy Vendor Collaboration with Tasks, Updates, and Large File Sharing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like how easy it is to collaborate with external vendors—assigning tasks, tagging users, sending request updates, and attaching large files—without the process feeling complicated.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I don't love the filter feature, I wish you could easily filter multiple columns as you can in Excel. I also wish they had the ability to calculate the internal rate of return. We use this metric for every project, and I currently have to calculate the value in Excel and then paste it into Smartsheet. If cost or savings estimates change, my IRR is then out of date and I have to remember to update it manually instead of it automatically updating.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It streamlines meetings by keeping the agenda and action items easily accessible for everyone. We can quickly add meeting comments and notes, assign tasks, and attach relevant files, which helps avoid unnecessary emails that often get lost.

  ### 4. Easy All-in-One Project Tracking with Time-Saving Automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like how easy it is to keep everything in one place. I can track projects, assign tasks, and see updates in real time without digging through emails. The automation saves me a ton of time on repetitive stuff too

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The learning curve can be steep at first, some features aren't obvious and take a while to figure out. It can also feel slow when working with really large sheets, and some of the more useful features are locked behind higher priced plans.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of scattered information. Before, project updates lived in emails, spreadsheets, and chat messages, and things slipped through the cracks. Now everything's in one place, so my team always knows who's doing what and when it's due. It's saved me hours each week on status updates and follow-ups, and deadlines get missed way less often

  ### 5. Smartsheet Keeps Our Departments Organized—Fast, Easy, and Great Value

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Business Supplies and Equipment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I love the organization it provides for our multiple departments. The system is extremely easy to use and understand. It blends easily into our day to day tasks and helps navigate the workload. Considering the mass amount of uploads we have, the system always works quickly and never lags or causes any issues when saving. The price is well worth the value. The onboarding was easy to understand and thoughroughly covered every aspect needed for new hires. The AI support is an added bonus when needing that extra assistance or explanation.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I would say our biggest issue with Smartsheet is the lack of ability to control columns or rows when having so many users actively on it. Changes that one indivual makes affects all other users.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet has provided the huge assistance of connecting our multiple departments onto one unified sheet.

  ### 6. Easy Task Tracking and Time-Saving Automation for Efficient Project Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rakesh Sharma c. | Sr. Analyst, Transportation/Trucking/Railroad, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

It's easy to organize tasks, track progress, and keep teams aligned. The automation features and customizable dashboards save a lot of time, making project management much more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Large sheets can occasionally experience performance issues, and some useful functionality is restricted to premium plans. Despite these limitations, it's a robust tool for managing projects and workflows.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Features such as automated workflows, real-time reporting, dashboards, and integrations with other business tools have significantly improved our productivity. It’s been especially helpful for managing complex projects while still maintaining clear visibility into deadlines and deliverables.

  ### 7. Great Data Visibility, Needs Better Filtering

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie E. | Compliance Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I use Smartsheet for reporting and logging data, and it provides visibility over our data. I like that I can attach documents to our log, keeping all our data in one place, instead of searching through my emails for attachments. The initial setup for our team was easy peasy.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Filtering. I have to use both Smartsheet and Excel because the filtering option sucks. If I need to sort through all the data I logged, then I have to export to Excel. If I could filter down my columns without exporting, then I might be a full-on Smartsheet user instead of having to do both.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet provides visibility over our data and allows us to attach documents directly, keeping all information in one place instead of having to search through emails.

  ### 8. RO smart sheet analyst

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristina A. | RO Smart sheet Business analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

The upsides of using smart sheet is being able to have all data in one location for various teams to work.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The downside id say with AI getting bigger and bigger I think adding more AI to the smart sheets would be beneficial. This could help users that are non tech savvy or lack smart sheet experience. Maybe better pricing so that our company can purchase more tools. Performance wise id say the allowance of rows each sheet can handle.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smart sheet has solved many problems for me and our team such as hosting the the trainings for smart sheet. The dynamic view function is a BIG one for us as it allows us to assign work and its not manipulated.

  ### 9. Smartsheet - Usage Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet is a great software as it feels incredibly familiar given the very basics of use is essentially an excel sheet. It was very easy to understand Smartsheet and subsequently easy to introduce and teach others. The program also comes with a huge range of features that allows you to modify as you see fit for your needs.
Sign up process was easy and straight forward. At this stage, I am using Smartsheet to track all sorts of projects and use it everyday.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

While it is a good thing for the program to come with a big range of features, this can also be seen as a downfall for some. There are a huge number of possibilities on how you can edit or amend in an attempt to suit what you need, however, this can feel overwhelming at times.
There are some features that I wish were much more straightforward (i.e click of a button) - however, sometimes it takes additional effort to create.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a huge number of projects, each with its own set of tasks lists and unique processes. Using Smartsheet is allowing us to track every single project and know exactly where things are at, who is working on what, who had worked on what and so much more.

  ### 10. Intuitive and Template Rich Platform That Simplifies Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

For the most part, Smartsheet is very easy to use and intuitive. There is a slight learning curve in understanding some of the more advanced functions and how best to implement them, but overall, no formal training is required. This is particularly beneficial when working across large teams or with users who may not be highly familiar with technology.
One of the standout features for me is the range of pre-set templates available. They are well structured, visually clear, and easy to customise, which makes it straightforward to get started quickly. The inclusion of visual indicators also helps improve usability and clarity across projects.
I was not directly involved in the pricing process, so I cannot comment in detail on cost versus value. However, based on feedback I’ve heard, the platform represents good value for money - particularly in a commercial environment. From a user perspective, onboarding was simple and getting started was seamless.
One area for improvement is the account setup and login process. It is easy to overlook the region selection (e.g. America, Australia), which can lead to duplicate accounts and unnecessary administrative effort if not identified early. This issue can also occur during login, so improving the visibility and clarity of the region selection would help minimise confusion and reduce potential inefficiencies.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One of the key strengths of Smartsheet is the ability to integrate multiple sheet types and document formats within a single platform, such as tracking sheets, programs, notes, and task trackers. This allows information to be centrally managed and easily shared across teams, which greatly improves transparency and collaboration.
Without this level of integration, projects would typically rely on multiple standalone files stored across servers, making them difficult to track and manage. The centralisation offered by Smartsheet is therefore a significant advantage, particularly on larger projects and within bigger teams.
I also find the ability to interlink documents within sheets very useful, as it enables quick navigation and improves overall efficiency when working across related information.
On the downside, some of the more advanced features can be complex to navigate and require additional time to fully understand and implement, especially compared to the simpler preset templates. There are also instances where certain advanced functionality may rely on additional configuration or higher-tier features, which can limit accessibility depending on how the platform is set up.
In terms of usability, the default formatting of basic sheets can feel quite plain and could benefit from more visual customisation options.
Additionally, the lack of automatic saving can be an issue. It is easy to forget to manually save changes while working, which creates a risk of losing progress. An auto-save function would be a valuable improvement.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our experience, Smartsheet provides access to multiple features and tools within a single platform that would otherwise require separate software licences for individual users. This has been particularly valuable in a team environment where access to specialised software (such as dedicated programming tools) is limited to certain users.
For example, we recently needed to develop a program but did not have broad access to traditional scheduling software like MS Project. Smartsheet’s built-in Gantt chart functionality allowed us to create and manage the program efficiently, with multiple team members contributing at the same time. The interface was straightforward enough that we were able to complete the task with only basic knowledge, avoiding the need to source additional licences or navigate lengthy approval processes.
Another feature I find highly beneficial is the ability to access Smartsheet from anywhere with an internet connection. This offers greater flexibility compared to server-based documents, which can have access restrictions depending on location or network permissions. In addition, updates within Smartsheet are reflected almost immediately, whereas server-based files can take time to sync, particularly when multiple users are working on them.
One recommendation I would make relates to column usability. When multiple labels are added, such as assigning tasks to individuals by full name, it becomes difficult to view all entries unless the column is widened. Introducing a “wrap text” function that carries content onto a new line within the same cell would significantly improve readability, particularly when working within narrower column widths.
Overall, Smartsheet has performed well for our team, and we have not experienced any noticeable lag issues to date. That said, we will continue to test its performance on larger and more complex projects.

  ### 11. Excellent Project Organization, But Site Reports Need More Detail

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Environmental Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

As i am involved in planning and managing our projects, Smartsheet is great for the overall organization of all the different aspects to our specific projects. From the carrying out of the project, to claiming and invoicing for that project, Smartsheets helps to keep everything tidy and organized. Being able to have different portfolio reports for the different aspects of our projects really helps to keep on top of everything and not get overwhelmed by the overall scope of a project. Being able to construct site reports from the app is also a handy tool for our projects, to know how they are going and to send to the clients.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The main thing that i dislike about Smartsheets is the restricting amount of detail that we can get into our site reports. For example, we are only able to put four photos onto a report, and we are unable to annotate on these photos for greater detail. With greater need for detail on reports in our market, it would be ideal if we were able to annotate our photos, as well as adding more than four photos onto one report.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As i am new to KauriPark, i don't truly understand the problems they were needing to solve when they signed up for Smartsheet's. Because of this cannot give you truly reliable feedback on what Smartsheet's is solving for KauriPark.

  ### 12. Real-Time Collaboration That Keeps a Team in Sync

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael J. | Senior Graphic Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

The ability for multiple people to chat and see, in real time, what tasks are being completed.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The app, when refreshed through Windows, returns to the first entry in the spreadsheet. We now have thousands of entries in our spreadsheet, and it's a pain in the bum having to repeatedly find whichever entry I was reviewing.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to see any updates to the spreadsheet in real time ensures that every stakeholder is working from the same information. Keeping all input information organized eliminates the chaos of multiple people having information available only to themselves.

  ### 13. Intuitive and Effective, But AI Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kim Cember C. | Enrolments Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I use Smartsheet for work, reporting, and tracking items. It helps me solve formulas and automations. I like that Smartsheet has automation features where emails can be sent to relevant people based on work completed. What I like most about Smartsheet is it's very intuitive. Even though I've only been using it for a year, I already know the ins and outs, especially with my line of work. I like how you can organize folders into workspaces. I would highly recommend Smartsheet because it's easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I think Smartsheet could improve on their AI and how you could use formulas or things that you wanted to do. Sometimes I would have to go to another AI, which is Claude, just to help me formulate the formula that I need. When I'm using Smartsheet, it doesn't really work their AI. Function doesn't really work well for me. So I think that could be improved.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet to solve formulas and automations, and I like how it sends automated emails based on task completion.

  ### 14. Streamlined Project Management with Intuitive Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I really like how Smartsheet is smart in a way that not everyone needs a license to be able to use its functionalities. I find it quite helpful to create forms for our clients to capture any concerns they have on the project, like during UAT testing. I can set up issue trackers that clients can fill out, and it comes back to me or gets assigned to the right team members. It's great that clients can submit forms even without a license, and they can comment on some of the reports, which helps me manage and communicate effectively with the project manager on the client side. These features are pretty cool, and I like them a lot.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I feel like Smartsheet is missing an AI feature. When I'm using something like a PowerPoint deck or a Word document, I can use Copilot to make enhancements or create things for me just by asking it to. Smartsheet doesn't have that feature right now. I like dashboards, but they take a lot of time to create. It would be great to have an AI assistant within Smartsheet where I could ask it to take reference from an issue tracker and create a dashboard showing how many issues have been submitted, their status, a graphical representation, and more. I currently have to do all of that manually, and it takes a lot of time. Also, I have trouble integrating Smartsheet with Outlook, which leads me to manually capture information from my Outlook emails and feed it into Smartsheet, and that takes a lot of time.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet to track tasks, monitor timelines, and notify stakeholders. It helps manage project dependencies, resource allocation, and efficiency. The forms allow easy issue tracking without email overload, enhancing communication with clients and streamlining team coordination through automated notifications.

  ### 15. Streamlining Project Management and Team Collaboration with Smartsheet

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet has become a core part of how our team manages projects, timelines, and cross-functional collaboration. The UI is intuitive enough for new users to get started quickly, while still being powerful for more advanced workflows. I especially like the grid, card, and Gantt views because they make it easy to adapt the workspace depending on the type of project or audience.

One of the biggest benefits has been the automation features and integrations. Automated alerts, approval requests, and status updates save our team hours of manual follow-up every week. The integrations with tools like Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace, and Power BI also help keep information centralized and accessible without constantly switching platforms.

Performance has been reliable even with large project sheets and multiple collaborators working simultaneously. Reporting dashboards give leadership real-time visibility into project progress, risks, and resource allocation, which has improved decision-making and accountability across teams.

From a pricing and ROI perspective, Smartsheet has delivered strong value by reducing manual processes and improving team coordination. The onboarding experience was straightforward, and there are plenty of templates and learning resources available to help teams adopt the platform quickly.

One unexpected benefit has been how customizable the platform is. Beyond project management, we’ve used Smartsheet for intake forms, workflow tracking, operational reporting, and process automation. The AI-powered features and intelligent automation suggestions are also becoming increasingly useful for streamlining repetitive tasks and improving productivity.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One downside to Smartsheet is that some advanced features can feel overly complex and require a learning curve, especially when building large automations or detailed formulas. While the platform is powerful, navigating permissions, dependencies, and workflow configurations can sometimes become time-consuming for newer users.

The UI can also feel cluttered when managing very large sheets with a lot of columns, attachments, or automation rules. In some cases, performance slows down slightly with highly detailed project plans or dashboards that pull from multiple data sources.

Another challenge is pricing. While the platform delivers good value overall, certain premium capabilities and user licensing costs can add up quickly for growing teams. Some integrations and advanced reporting features are also locked behind higher-tier plans, which may limit smaller teams trying to scale efficiently.

Additionally, although the onboarding resources are solid, getting teams to fully adopt Smartsheet consistently across departments can take effort, especially for users who are more familiar with simpler spreadsheet tools like Excel or Google Sheets.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Smartsheet, our team struggled with keeping project updates, task ownership, and timelines organized across multiple spreadsheets and email threads. It was difficult to get real-time visibility into project status, which often caused delays, duplicate work, and missed follow-ups.

Since implementing Smartsheet, we’ve been able to centralize project management and automate many of our manual processes. Features like automated reminders, approval workflows, dashboards, and shared project tracking have significantly improved collaboration and accountability across teams. The Gantt charts and reporting tools also make it easier to identify bottlenecks early and keep stakeholders aligned on priorities and deadlines.

One of the biggest benefits has been the time savings. Tasks that previously required multiple emails and status meetings are now managed automatically within Smartsheet, helping our team work more efficiently and reduce administrative overhead. We’ve also improved visibility for leadership by providing real-time reporting and progress tracking in a single platform.

Additionally, Smartsheet has helped standardize workflows across departments, making onboarding and project execution much more consistent. The flexibility of the platform allows us to use it for everything from project planning and resource management to operational tracking and intake processes.

  ### 16. Intuitive UI, Solid Performance, and Easy Smartsheet-to-Power BI Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like the ability to comment on rows in a grid.
The UI is intuitive and i enjoy using it.
I like that the integration from Smartsheet to Power BI is really easy.
I find the pricing to be a bit high for features like Dynamic Views.
The performance is solid.
The support has been very good since anytime i have an issue i can setup a meeting invite.
I do not use AI or Intelligence features.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I don't like the cost of Dynamic Views; its too high.
I dont like all the ways they are shoving AI in my face, without being explicit about what benefit the AI feature actually gives.
I don't like that I cant let someone have view only access to a Report without giving them access to the underlying data.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem Smartsheet is used for in our org is task management and tracking deadlines. This is something Smartsheet is a huge benefit to our team for.

  ### 17. Effortless Collaboration with Versatile Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Siddhi M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I love how user-friendly Smartsheet is; even if I'm using it for the first time, I can understand how to use it easily. I really appreciate the availability of multiple filters and how it allows me to track changes seamlessly. I enjoy the online availability, which means even if someone from the team is not available, I can see the last work they've done on Smartsheet. Also, multiple people can use it simultaneously. The variety in data tracking is another aspect I like a lot as it enhances our daily work tracking and allocation processes.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I don't like the data saving time. It takes a little longer to save the data.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet to track daily work and allocate tasks. It helps keep track of clients, calculate weekly productivity, and see the last work done if someone is unavailable. I like the ease of use, filters, and multiple user access to track changes without affecting others.

  ### 18. Seamless Forms-to-Sheets Integration with Powerful Dashboards and Smooth Onboarding

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

The integration across forms and sheets is seamless. Being able to create visual, live sheets that form a key part of our functional processes has been really valuable.

The dashboard feature has allowed us to consolidate all relevant information into central locations, that feature tracking, links and detail that we no longer have to sift through multiple reports for.

The feedback is responsive, with the performance and aid that is offered throughout the coding process creates an easy to use issue resolution.

I feel like I am getting my moneys worth for the programme, as it is central to a large variety of our functions.

The helpful detail when familiarising yourself with the programme allows for a smooth onboarding process, and AI integration across multiple areas is helpful.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Certain functions and automations could be more helpful.

I.e Time not existing as a function, ways to work around it but would help the UX.
Automation in terms of moving rows - the ability to move certain columns to a different sheet when criteria were met would be incredibly helpful.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Central data collection for reporting, consolidating all of our workstreams and allowing us to have readily accessible information that is easy to locate and find, having all information in one place allows us to experiment and create new tools that have not been used before.

  ### 19. Good for Team Visibility, Falls Short in ERP Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frankline L. | Quality Inspector, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I have been using Smartsheet for project tracking and operational management. Its ability to provide good workflow visibility and task coordination stands out for me. I find it easy to create trackers and dashboards, which helps tremendously with collaboration across teams. The flexible forms and reporting features enable efficient tracking of approvals and project progress. Also, Smartsheet makes it easy to see work's progress and offers a good dashboard for reporting. We switched from Google Sheets and Excel due to its accessibility, automation, forms, and good dashboards.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I find Smartsheet's limited integration with ERP systems like SAP problematic. It makes it difficult to maintain a seamless connection between project execution, finance monitoring, and inventory movement. I also struggle with managing project schedules alongside finance, material, and labor.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet for project tracking and operational management, which enhances workflow visibility and task coordination. It excels in creating trackers and dashboards, ensuring good team collaboration, flexible forms and reporting, and helps in tracking approvals and project progress effortlessly.

  ### 20. Effortless Transition, Intuitive Interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vince Dustien C. | Global Data Management Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I find Smartsheet user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy even for newbies to use. It provides a visual of the data quickly, and it's effortless to update changes in client profiles. I like how customizable it is, allowing us to put a workspace for each section of our data and clients, which gives us easy access to everything. Transitioning data from Excel to Smartsheet was smooth, and I didn't encounter any problems. Setting up Smartsheet was super easy, as we could transfer all files and data with ease.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Nothing specific since everything that we need to use for Smartsheet has been laid out already upon transitioning.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet provides a quick visual of the data and is easy to use, simplifying client profile updates and personnel scheduling.

  ### 21. Customer service is horrendous; product is not superb

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

The ability to set up no-code automation workflows have allowed us to streamline processes by reducing manual work, and also send reminders, approvals, etc through

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

- Inability to lock specific cells
- Pivot app is not free. Excel pivots are free.
- Per user cost has increased so much since the subscription model change.
- Post-sales service is VERY poor. Last year our agreement was renewed without notification or any reach out from the sales team; we ended up paying for added apps that we didn't need for another year. This year we were also unable to remove the service we weren't using because we missed a stupid clause that requires us to inform them 30 days before the renewal date. This is a very onerous clause and is NOT standard practice. These past 2 years of renewal they have either not responded (despite us chasing), or been very slow on response --- seems like they are purposely dragging out time so that we fall under the category of "oh too bad you missed the renewal negotiation timeline".

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for project management, and for our contractors to submit some forms. Frankly -- these can also be done on Microsoft or Google tools. Smartsheet does not have that much edge.

  ### 22. Flexible and Collaborative, Needs Better Navigation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I use Smartsheet at Toshiba Business Solutions to help organize our delivery schedule, and it works very well with our setup. I appreciate how Smartsheet keeps our daily schedule in order and available to our team anytime we want to see or look. I really like the flexibility of Smartsheet and all the options it has to offer. Having the option for several team members to have the app and see the schedule at any moment is a standout feature. Also, the initial setup of Smartsheet was as easy as opening it up.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

My main and pretty much only complaint is when I leave the app it goes back to the top/January. When I'm working at the bottom/Nov-Dec I have to scroll all the way down every time.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet to keep our delivery schedule in order and accessible anytime, offering flexibility and options. Multiple team members can view the schedule at any moment, ensuring everyone stays informed.

  ### 23. Streamlined Reporting with Collaboration Glitches

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charles S. | Security Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like that Smartsheet allows me to share information and status updates with people who don't use Smartsheet, making collaboration much easier. I also appreciate the reporting tools and the automated actions based on data, which simplify how I follow up on spreadsheets or track people to know their status. These features give me quick visibility at a glance on current project statuses without the need to interrupt or micromanage my staff. The automated forms are another feature I find beneficial for creating automation with ease.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I don't like how limited the cell linking feature is. Some tasks are overly complicated compared to Excel. There is a dumb hard limit on how many cells within a single worksheet I can refer to, which limits my ability to extract information on a single pane of glass detail. Also, user access was cumbersome due to the odd licensing nomenclature, and it's frankly odd that a user could bypass MFA.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet keeps my team informed of client progress collaboratively and monitors any stragglers. It simplifies tracking spreadsheets and people, providing quick visibility on the status without micromanaging staff.

  ### 24. Intuitive, Reliable Ticket Tracking That Keeps Cross-Functional Teams Aligned

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

This solution helps us keep track of project status and maintenance tickets across multiple functional, business, and IT teams, ensuring alignment and reducing the risk of items being missed.
From a UI/UX perspective, the interface is intuitive and makes it easy for users across different teams to quickly understand project status and take action without extensive training.
The platform supports strong integrations, allowing seamless coordination between systems and teams, which is critical for managing cross-functional workflows and tracking tickets end to end.
In terms of performance, it reliably handles ongoing updates and ticket tracking without noticeable delays, enabling teams to stay current on real-time progress.
Looking at pricing and ROI, the value comes from improved visibility, reduced manual follow-ups, and better coordination—ultimately saving time and increasing efficiency across teams.
For support and onboarding, the setup process is straightforward, and teams can begin using the tool quickly with minimal ramp-up, especially for users already familiar with similar workflows.
Finally, while not heavily dependent on advanced AI/intelligence features, the platform could benefit from additional automation or predictive insights to further enhance prioritization and workload management.
Overall, it is a highly effective solution for maintaining visibility and alignment across complex, multi-team initiatives.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One downside is that some of the more advanced features aren’t very intuitive, which can make it harder for users to fully utilize the platform without additional guidance. There can also be a bit of a learning curve when navigating deeper functionality or configuring more complex workflows. Additionally, visibility is strong at a high level, but drilling into detailed insights or customizing views could be more flexible.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It streamlines project and ticket tracking across teams, reducing manual follow-ups and improving visibility into status and ownership. By centralizing updates and workflows, it helps prevent gaps in communication and ensures issues are identified and addressed more quickly.

  ### 25. Intuitive and Easy to Use, with Responsive Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like the ease of use! Smartsheet is intuitive and easy to use - the support team is always available to help out with any questions as well! I also enjoy that the system allows the end user to receive a copy of their responses. That way no one gets confused as to what they requested!

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

When building out Smartsheet, it can be hard to get the user to adopt the program. However, to combat this Smartsheet has an integration and our company has a single sign on process which makes it much easier to use.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a lot of issues with one-off requests that get lost in e-mails. Smartsheet is creating a one-stop shop for all requests. It also serves as a wonderful tracker and tool for project management. The performance tracker on each request has helped us a lot! It allows each person to easily understand what they need to do and which requests are assigned to each person.

  ### 26. Streamlined Collaboration with Advanced Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Camel C. | Trading Assistant/Research Assistant Analyst intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I use Smartsheet to collaborate with different groups while working through projects, and I appreciate how it tracks the status of estimates and orders, along with the status of ongoing projects and uploads to our site. I love that Smartsheet is like Excel on steroids, especially for its ability to attach documents to each line and add comments for feedback or questions. This feature really helps us when we send art to another team for site uploads; I can attach high-resolution versions and avoid using emails. It's also a great reference spot for previously uploaded artwork. The setup was easy, and it simplifies our work processes compared to using Excel and emails. Smartsheet avoids us having to use different tools for the same actions.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I'd like to get more people access to it, but nothing that stands out.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet to collaborate on projects with different groups, track status of estimates and orders, and avoid email updates. It also lets me attach documents, provide feedback, and switch from Excel and emails, simplifying our tools.

  ### 27. Efficient Automation, Potential Improvement of Calendar

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like the workflows and automations that Smartsheet offers. The automatic value changes, alerts to people, report generation, and inventory control are valuable features for me. We also replaced many Excel sheets, which has been a positive change, and the initial setup of Smartsheet was easy.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The calendar should be improved. When we work on the calendar, it cannot display all the fields from the source sheet, nor can all of them be edited sometimes. The "boxes" should be able to be moved directly with the cursor, as well as change the duration by dragging (just like in any planning calendar). It should also allow that even if a multi-selection field is requested in the associated form, the row with the sum of the selected options does not appear, but rather 1 by 1.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet solves the problem of working with non-automatable databases and facilitates the generation of workflows. It offers automations such as automatic value changes, alerts, report generation, and stock control.

  ### 28. Smartsheet Powers Our Product Management Every Day

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonah G. | Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet is a very powerful tool! Our business has customized it to our specific needs, and it's an integral part of our product management processes. I use it almost every day!

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Some of the UI can be a bit challenging for newer users. This can make onboarding new team members to our process difficult. Additionally, some of the most useful tools for our business is hidden away deeper in the app than I would like.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our business needs a powerful tool that we can integrate with our own bespoke internal tools. It does a fantastic job of that! It functions very reliably.

  ### 29. Easy to Share with Colleagues, Great Formatting Out of the Box

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet makes it easy to share with colleagues, and the formatting looks good right from the start. There’s no need to do extra formatting in Excel first, for example when you’re working with a table.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One thing about Smartsheet that I think could be improved is how well content copies and pastes out of Smartsheet. Often, I’m copying and pasting details into Slack or other messaging platforms to quickly share information from one or two items in my sheet. The formatting doesn’t always carry over cleanly, and it often omits the “titles” and surrounding context that make those details easy to understand.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reagent tracing and tracking has been amazing. In the past, trying to manage everything in Excel was kind of a nightmare, and the limited cloud saving and sharing options were hard to use. Now I can track everything directly in a browser, share it with colleagues, and quickly look things up whenever I need to.

  ### 30. Smartsheet Gives a Clear Project View and Eases Resource Planning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohanakannan K. | Chief Operating Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

The most obvious advantage I've found in Smartsheet is the ability to get a complete view of any project I enter. Smartsheet is also helpful in resource allocation because I can now see my team’s bandwidth instantly and prevent accidentally over-allocating tasks to all team members – even myself. It’s nice to have all the stages of reviewing documents (proofing) and giving/receiving feedback all in one place rather than spread throughout every member of your team’s inbox. The custom dashboard feature allows me to monitor progress without asking each individual for updates, which is a huge stress reliever for me since I hate asking for those kinds of updates.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The search and filtering functions within Smartsheet require you to use very specific language. If you can’t recall the name of a previous project you’ll probably need to scroll through until you stumble upon it. Onboarding new staff members that aren’t project managers by trade can be difficult due to Smartsheet’s complexity during their first few weeks. And while there are options to adjust notifications via email they are typically extremely generic and alert you simply to log in to Smartsheet. The Mobile App isn’t anywhere near as good as Desktop – especially for rapid checks when you don’t want to wait 30 seconds for the app to load.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My biggest problem was generally the chaos of not understanding what’s happening. Typically, as soon as you hit a team size larger than about 5 people, tracking down where projects stand usually involves getting multiple pieces of information from different people using multiple different tools. Smartsheet puts almost all of these issues to bed by providing one tool where almost everything can be tracked.

  ### 31. Smartsheet Delivers Great UI/UX, Smooth Integrations, and Powerful AI Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sachin n. | Engagement Solutions Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like this UI/UX experience and Integration Performance ,Pricing , Support Onboarding and AI features.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Key Disadvantages of Smartsheet
1. Steep Learning Curve
Formulas and advanced features are non-intuitive, requiring significant training.

Users often compare it unfavorably to Excel or Google Sheets for formula flexibility.

2. Pricing & Hidden Costs
Pricing tiers are complex and restrictive, especially for small teams.

Some features (like Dynamic View or premium connectors) require additional fees, which frustrates users who expect them to be included.

3. Limited Customization
Design and layout options are constrained, making it hard to tailor dashboards or sheets to specific workflows.

Collaboration features are less flexible compared to competitors like Asana or Monday.com.

4. Performance Issues
Users report latency when loading pages, which slows down daily work.

Workflow automations sometimes fail or require manual monitoring, undermining efficiency.

5. Access & Administration Challenges
Granting access to internal vs. external users can be confusing and time-consuming.

Admins cannot easily change user email addresses without creating new accounts.

Lack of “log in as user” functionality makes troubleshooting permissions difficult.

6. Support Limitations
Customer support sometimes provides temporary fixes rather than resolving root issues.

Users often need to repeat documentation for recurring problems.
Integration issues

  ### 32. Centralizes Project Management Seamlessly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isabelle J. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I use Smartsheet for tracking our projects internally, especially within our housing development team for acquisitions, leasing, and comprehensive site redevelopments. I like the dashboard and reporting tools Smartsheet offers. Considering we have lots of different funding streams for our projects, reporting becomes quite important. I appreciate that we can customize our dashboards to show exactly what our stakeholders need to see. This customization is really beneficial for us. Also, being able to send out request updates to our team simplifies everything. The Gantt charts in Smartsheet are helpful, allowing us to pinpoint when we're under-resourced or over-resourced. I'm also quite interested in starting the Smartsheet mobilizer program.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I failed the test for Smartsheet University, and I'd really like the opportunity to be able to reset that but without having to pay extra. One of my colleagues was selected to set hers for free. So I was kinda hoping that might be able to be the case for me too. Wasn't easy initially. We had no idea what we were doing. We didn't have some paid support for us.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet consolidates everything as a one-stop source of truth. I like its dashboard and reporting tools, which can be customized for stakeholders' needs. It simplifies project management with update requests, and Gantt charts help manage resources.

  ### 33. Intuitive and Collaborative with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elizabeth S. | Quality Improvement Specialist, Individual & Family Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like how intuitive Smartsheet is to use and the automations it provides. The automations can be sent to anyone, which helps assist others with due dates as well. Setting it up was very simple and easy. Smartsheet's combination of AI with Excel's convenience helps with tracking dates and sending out reminders through automations. I switched from Excel to Smartsheet because it allows multiple people to access and work on the same sheet at the same time, which is great for sharing purposes.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The filters are the only issues that I see. They are a bit confusing and not as easy to use as Excel.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet for tracking dates and automations that assist with due dates. It combines the convenience of AI with Excel's functionality. It allows several people to access and work on the same sheet simultaneously, enhancing collaboration.

  ### 34. Fast and Versatile: Easy Team Sharing, Multiple Creation Options, Helpful Seminars

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

It is easy to share documents within the team. I also like how there are different options to create things. For example, you can create a sheet, report, or form. The software is very fast and seems to constantly be up to date. Smartsheet hosts seminars that you can attend that will further you in networking and learn more ins-and-outs than you normally would have time to explore.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The only downside that I can see from Smartsheet is that it is extremely difficult to copy and paste from one sheet to another. That honestly might be user error though.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps our team stay informed and keeps us up to date on upcoming deadlines. It also makes it easy to keep all our information in one centralized place.

  ### 35. Centralized Project Docs with Real-Time Dashboards and Reporting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mj D. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I value the ability to centralise all project documentation in one place, from project plans to financial tracking, while also creating dynamic dashboards and reports that provide clear, real-time insights.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The biggest challenge is organisational adoption—there are concerns around security within my company, which has made it difficult to gain wider buy-in, even though I’m not fully convinced these concerns reflect the platform’s actual capabilities.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps solve the challenge of managing multiple project components in a fragmented way by bringing everything into a single, organised platform. This benefits me by improving visibility across plans, finances, and progress, making it easier to track performance, manage risks, and communicate updates clearly through dashboards and reports.

  ### 36. Game-Changer for Project Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ruchi V. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I find Smartsheet to be a game-changer for our project management. I love the clean and easy-to-navigate interface. The automation features are a huge plus as they save time on repetitive tasks, and I don't have to send reminders manually anymore. Collaboration is seamless, allowing my team to update sheets in real-time and track progress without confusion. The reporting dashboards give us clear visibility into project timelines and resource allocation, which is crucial for us. Even though the learning curve was initially a bit steep, once we got used to it, our productivity improved significantly. I also like how the reminders and real-time updates help us stay on track with deadlines and ensure everyone works with the latest information, improving transparency and saving time. Setting up Smartsheet was much easier than expected, with no complex tasks involved. Overall, it offers strong value for teams looking to streamline workflows and improve accountability.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

At times, reminders are missed or not received by everyone consistently. Additionally, if someone comments on sheets, they are not always visible in real-time, so I often have to manually open the sheet to check for updates or comments.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet streamlines project management with automation, saving time on repetitive tasks. It enhances collaboration with real-time updates and comments, improves transparency, and ensures everyone stays on track with automated reminders, improving accountability and visibility into timelines and resources.

  ### 37. Seamless Coordination, User-Friendly, Highly Recommended

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria Ivy L. | Sales Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I primarily use Smartsheet as a database management tool to track records of the team's activities like schedules, leaves, and more. It's user-friendly and not overly complex or technical, but it's still powerful enough for serious work management. I love how updates appear instantly and appreciate the automation that saves time on routine work. I also use Smartsheet for alerts and reminders via email and as a collaboration tool, integrating well with Google Drive and MS Teams. I highly recommend using Smartsheet for professional or personal use.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Maybe there is a way that Smartsheet can focus on where the tool starts to feel less smooth once work becomes more complex or large-scale, too many status fields or tracking layers, limited advanced data manipulation features.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet for seamless coordination, visibility, and control of work for large teams with multiple tasks. It's user-friendly, saving time on routine work with automation.

  ### 38. Excel-Like Simplicity That Keeps Teams Organized and Accountable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

It looks and feels similar to Excel so it was easy to start using right away. it keeps tasks, deadlines, documents, and projects in one place. Reduces the need to do lots of searching through multiple spreadsheets. Multiple team members can update information simultaneously and changes are immediately visible. Upside is that it keeps teams accountable, requires less technical expertise, improves organization, and provides visibility for everyone.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Although it looks like Excel, it doesn't offer all of Excel's advanced formulas, data analysis, and pivot table capabilities. Licensing costs can add up, especially when many employees need editing access. Managing permissions across multiple sheets can be confusing.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creates a centralized location where everyone can view progress, deadlines, and outstanding issues in real time. Assigns ownership, tracks due dates, and provides automatic reminders to improve accountability.

  ### 39. Enhanced Collaboration, But Needs Sheet Template Automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shohan K. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like Smartsheet's automation features, which make it easy to consolidate multiple sheets into reports and generate dashboards. The ease of gathering updates and assigning tasks to the team, along with automated reminders and notifications, helps me stay on top of things. I appreciate the ability to provide a link to a dashboard with the most up-to-date data to stakeholders. This dashboard updates automatically as changes are made to the sheets. I find it easy to lock parts of the sheet and only allow the wider team to update the necessary fields. I can also send reminders to gather data easily from third parties. Additionally, the positive aspect is that dashboards are easy to share, and updates happen seamlessly when the background sheets are updated.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Updating multiple sheets with the same template is a hassle since it requires manual changes one by one instead of automating the process. The primary column being locked as the first column and only allowing text is frustrating, especially when it doesn't fit with the sheets I want to create. Formatting cells is tricky as linked reports and dashboards are affected by changes. I can't paste values easily from Excel or other platforms, which changes the cell format unintentionally. Dates can be buggy when copy-pasting in the table layout, as they default to US format, even though it works fine in the grid layout. The initial setup felt restrictive compared to Excel's flexibility. Creating graphs is more cumbersome than in Excel; it requires setting up a sheet and a dashboard separately, and even then, graph options are limited. Formatting for graphs is also quite restrictive, especially for waterfall charts and combo graphs.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet enhances collaborative work effectiveness, keeps me on top of tasks, and provides a live dashboard for stakeholders. Its automation features streamline updates and task assignments, while the dashboard simplifies data sharing with stakeholders.

  ### 40. Boosts Team Collaboration with Room for Data Performance Improvements

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prabhanshu G. | Process Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I find Smartsheet easy to use since it's just a matter of signing in and getting started. I really like the strong visibility it offers for projects and assignments. The workflow automation is a highlight, saving us time on repetitive tasks. I also appreciate the customization options Smartsheet provides, enabling me to tailor it to match different processes like project tracking, SLA monitoring, and audits. The scalability is another major plus, as it supports managing a wide range of tasks from small to large, which is crucial for complex projects.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

First thing is performance with large data, formula limitations, limited offline access (Smartsheet is primarily cloud based). There's some room for improvement in performance and advanced analytics.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps with project or assignment visibility, organized task management, tracking details, updating work, strong visibility, workflow automation, and is customizable for different processes like project tracking and audits, with scalability for managing complex projects.

  ### 41. Efficient Form Submission, Minor Glitches

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** RAMSES D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like that Smartsheet is organized and helps me have a better, more visual understanding of my pending tasks and track escalations. It's faster when I submit forms and easier than just using regular email. The visual aspect of seeing the status, like with color coding, makes it easier and quicker to identify what's pending and what's being worked on. Additionally, setting up Smartsheet was pretty easy, to be honest.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

For example, when there's a box that I can click on, in progress or completed, sometimes when I click on that box, and I click on save, sometimes it's not been saved. And I need to do it, like, multiple times, and keep refreshing until I confirm that has been updated.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet because it's faster and easier than regular emails for submitting forms and tracking them. It gives me a better, more visual understanding of pending items and escalations, saving me time and improving organization.

  ### 42. Improved Data Consistency with Some Limitations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Most things are easy and make sense. We use formulas extensively and they are very similar to how they are structured in Excel, which makes the learning curve much easier. We also use sheet automations extensively for notifications and sheet operations (copying rows to other sheets, changing cell values, etc.). Control Center is a key tool for us - we use API calls and automated tasks to create project workspaces and blueprints 5-10 times per week. We also use Data Shuttle to keep key dropdown lists updated. The key benefits are that our data are now much more consistent, which allows us to build much better management reports. Standard processes in Smartsheet also reinforce the standard workflows within the various teams.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

There are some functions that we just can't perform in Smartsheet. The program reports are great for looking at the same data set across all projects, but we can't easily look at different data sets within a project. They also can't include relevant data from a common data set except if we add (another) helper column to the underlying report to use as a filter. For example, I have to add a client status column to filter out inactive clients in the P&L reports. Our leaders have to sift through irrelevant data in order to get an accurate picture of what our current client base looks like. In our environment, a project represents a client and we can't easily build a QBR dashboard and have that roll up across the company. We have to create far too many helper columns to accomplish our goals. In some cases, 60% of the columns in a blueprint are helper columns. There is no native way to build an automation that hands off a task from one team to another because each functional area has its own blueprint. We have used RPA and API assets to work around those shortcomings, but they increase the overall maintenance cost and complexity for the product. We have to store the same data in every sheet rather than storing it once and referencing it elsewhere, which means it doesn't scale well. In sheets where we have large numbers of cross sheet references, performance suffers as a result. Smartsheet isn't strongly typed enough to allow us to tightly specify some data types. For example, I can't specify that a column is an integer or a number and I can't enforce values when they enter the data on the sheet rather than using a form. I also can't prevent people from using the sheet instead of the report. The client success and support teams have spotty records for our requests. We usually have to prompt our CSM multiple times to get action on a specific request. Some of our tickets have taken months(!) to resolve. There are some support people who are on the ball, but they are the exception, unfortunately. Because of all those items, our actual ROI isn't nearly as good as we expected.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problems Smartsheet is solving are: 1. reporting, 2. data consistency and governance and 3. process standardization. We migrated from Monday where every user could make whatever changes they wanted. Migrating to Smartsheet allowed us to provide significantly more governance and standardization to our processes. We rolled out standard processes for each team that our experienced leaders had refined and our service providers couldn't modify. It has allowed our people to focus more on supporting our clients rather than tweaking the software they were using. SCC has allowed us to roll out some changes to the entire base in short order and in a controlled manner. Forms allow us to put some governance around incoming data. The data in Smartsheet are significantly more consistent than they were in Monday. Smartsheet provides single-click reporting for those areas where we can use it; something we didn't have in Monday.

  ### 43. Smartsheet Makes Work More Efficient with Powerful Sheet Interconnections

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhinav R. | Senior Associate, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet is a much more efficient software than MS Excel. The interconnections between different sheets has been the most useful in my work. The automated data transfer across different sheets / reports is very useful. The user interface is very easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet does not do a good job of extracting information from other company software especially if they are in the form of tables. Lack of a parent child row automation.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing large amounts of data and making it easy to communicate useful information.

  ### 44. Smartsheet Shines for Project Tracking with Automations & Gantt Views

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

The automation builder has been the single biggest time saver for me. I set up workflows where when a row status changes to "Pending Approval" it fires off a notification to the right manager with an update request form — that alone cut maybe 3-4 hours a week of me chasing people down over email or Slack. The drag and drop on Gantt charts is really intuitive too, I can resequence tasks in a planning meeting on the fly without it feeling clunky.
Integration-wise it plays pretty nicely with Microsoft Teams and Outlook which matters because that's what our org runs on. The calendar sync is handy so deadlines show up on people's Outlook calendars without them having to check Smartsheet directly. We also connected it to a Power Automate flow for some of our intake processes and that was relatively painless to set up.
One unexpected benefit — the proofing feature. We started using it for creative review on marketing collateral and it actually replaced a separate proofing tool we were paying for. Didn't even know Smartsheet had that until a coworker showed me.
The AI piece is still pretty new but the formula generation is helpful when I blank on syntax. I'll type what I want in plain English and it usually gets me 80% of the way there which beats Googling Smartsheet community forums every time.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

My biggest complaint is that it positions itself as spreadsheet-like, but it’s missing a lot of the formula depth I’d expect coming from Excel. There’s no XLOOKUP, no INDEX/MATCH, no SUMPRODUCT, no TEXTJOIN, and no UNIQUE. Any time I need to do more analytical work, I end up exporting to Excel anyway to build a pivot table or use Power Query. The COLLECT and JOIN functions are decent as workarounds, but they get messy quickly on larger sheets. If they could bring over even half of the standard Excel formula library, it would cut down a lot on the constant round-tripping of data in and out.

Performance also gets rough once a sheet crosses roughly 5,000+ rows, especially with cross-sheet formulas. I’ve had sheets take 10–15 seconds to load, and sometimes formulas just sit on “loading” for a while. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s definitely noticeable.

Pricing feels steep once you need anything beyond the basics. Dashboards are locked behind the Business tier, Dynamic View is an add-on, Data Shuttle is an add-on, and the pivot app is an add-on. It adds up fast, and the per-user cost already isn’t cheap. ROI is still positive for us, but I really wish the packaging felt less nickel-and-dime.

Support has been hit or miss, honestly. Basic tier support is slow—I’ve waited 2–3 days for email responses on issues that were blocking my work. Most of the time, the community forums are actually more helpful. Onboarding was fine, though: the learning center videos are decent, and my team picked it up within a couple of weeks without formal training.

The AI features are promising, but they still feel early. The sheet summary generation is fine for a quick overview, but I wouldn’t trust it for anything I’m sending to leadership without double-checking. Formula suggestions also sometimes hallucinate functions that don’t exist in Smartsheet, which is pretty ironic given that’s already my biggest complaint.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Smartsheet, we managed project trackers in shared Excel files on a network drive. That meant constant version-control headaches, people accidentally saving over each other, no audit trail, and basically zero visibility for leadership unless someone manually pulled together a status report every Friday. Now we have a single source of truth, with automated dashboards leadership can check whenever they want, and status reports that practically build themselves through rollup sheets.

The biggest workflow improvement, honestly, has been accountability and transparency. When every task has a clear owner, a due date, and automated reminders, things get done on time far more often. Our on-time delivery rate for internal projects went from roughly 60% to closer to 85% in the first six months, which has made my job a lot easier.

  ### 45. Smartsheet Makes Project Collaboration and Organization Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like best about Smartsheet is how easy it is to keep projects organized and collaborate with multiple people at once. I use it to track deadlines, manage tasks, share updates, and keep everyone on the same page.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One thing I dislike is that some features aren't very intuitive, especially for new users. It can also take a lot of clicking to make simple updates, and I wish some of the formatting and customization options were more flexible.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps keep projects, deadlines, and communication organized in one place instead of having information spread across emails, spreadsheets, and documents. It makes it easier to track progress, stay on top of multiple projects at once, and collaborate with my team more efficiently.

  ### 46. Great Collaboration Features, But Pricey and Limited Support

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oleg F. | DCS Technical Lead

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like Smartsheet's quite flexible configuration, which is quick and usually suitable for my needs, including forms and dynamic views. It allows me to request the information that I need or show different stakeholders only what they need to see. I also appreciate the more collaboration features that Smartsheet provides, especially compared to Microsoft Excel and Project.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

License pricing is complex: many additional functions require additional license. License price increase making the business to consider alternative products, so as a user, while I am keen to expand utilization of Smartsheet, I am concerned that soon I may need to migrate my sheets somewhere else, which would be a big issue. Support is not so great for the price: I've got a ticket open for 1.5 months and still not resolved. The tool is good, but due to the license price and previous unpredictable change of terms when paid license became mandatory for editors, I would suggest to consider alternatives.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet for collaboration with teams, including sharing files and getting real-time updates.

  ### 47. Intuitive and Powerful But Facing Frustrating Changes

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lou B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like the simplicity of Smartsheet; it feels like an Excel spreadsheet, which makes things easy to understand and manipulate. The automation features are really helpful for our work, especially with changing project timelines where we need to stay in sync using dependencies and predecessors. The reporting features help break down complex projects into bite-sized pieces so team members aren't overwhelmed. Additionally, I appreciate the capability to view complex data through filters and build out dashboards, which adds value to my work with Smartsheet.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I used to be a huge proponent of Smartsheet and have recommended it to a lot of our clients, but with the recent changes, it's become extremely frustrating, especially with the new format of member seats. There's been a lot of confusion on the service side. Also, it seems like there are a lot of glitches in Smartsheet that weren't there before. I think there's a lack of clarity about what's going on with the backend, and we seem to get different responses from different people about what's possible right now and what is not. Our fee to use Smartsheet has increased pretty rapidly because of the new shift with the paid member seats and features. I actually feel pretty frustrated with Smartsheet right now, and we're looking into alternatives.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet for staying organized, communicating team deadlines, and coordinating with external partners. Its automations and reporting features help manage complex projects, and it feels intuitive like Excel for handling data.

  ### 48. Centralized, Auto-Updating Data with a Very Useful Dashboard

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vera L. | Sr. Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

The ability for the data to be located in one place and be automatically updated when a change is made. The dashboard ability is very useful.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I don't dislike anything yet as I am learning to use this tool. This means my discomfort is not always knowing how to do what I want to do. I do think the security model needs some work. Users should be able to customize their views.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has enabled my team to be more effective as they only have to update their portion of the data. We are discovering new ways to use this tool every day.

  ### 49. Smartsheet Keeps Projects Organized with Flexible Sheets and Dashboards

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet serves as a foundational tool for our project coordination, providing a structured framework for tracking progress and ensuring team accountability. Its primary strength lies in its "cellular" flexibility, allowing for a seamless transition from simple task lists to complex, interconnected project ecosystems.
The most significant value driver is the ability to link different tables, creating a "Single Source of Truth".

Regading the Data Consistency, when a date is updated in a granular project sheet, it automatically reflects in high-level leadership dashboards, eliminating manual entry errors.

It has also improved our Automated Reporting. Instead of manual weekly updates, we use automated reports that aggregate tasks from multiple sheets based on criteria like "Status" or "Assigned To".

The interface allows users to toggle between Grid, Gantt, and Card (Kanban) views without changing the underlying data. Reliable Speed: Performance remains robust with large datasets and complex formulas, maintaining minimal loading times. Familiarity: The layout is intuitive for those comfortable with traditional spreadsheets, which aids in team adoption. Operational EvaluationIntegrations: Smartsheet connects effectively with our communication stack (e.g., Slack or Teams) to push task notifications directly to users.

Support & Onboarding were challenging but after the initial introduciton shock, the situation improved. While the initial learning curve is shallow, mastering advanced features like "WorkApps" requires more intentional onboarding to unlock full value. Pricing & ROIMoney’s Worth: The platform provides high value by consolidating project tracking, document storage, and reporting into a single license.

Lastly, with regards to AI & Intelligence, we are not currently leveraging Smartsheet's AI capabilities, but they represent a strategic opportunity for future growth: Predictive Analysis: Using AI to identify potential project bottlenecks based on historical data. Utilizing AI to build complex cross-sheet formulas, lowering the technical barrier for new users.
All in all, the Administrative Savings are significant. ROI is realized through the hours saved in coordination and the increased visibility that prevents costly project delays.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One drawback I’ve experienced is that occasionally there are bugs where newly added text disappears, which can be frustrating during active work.
Overall, despite this occasional issue, it remains a reliable solution that enhances organization and helps keep projects on track.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet solves the critical problem of fragmented information by allowing us to link different tables together, which ensures that all project data remains synchronized across the organization. By creating this single source of truth, the platform eliminates the need for manual status updates and the human error often associated with compiling reports from multiple sources. I mostly use it to align timelines and estimate overall project health and performance, along with tracking colleagues’ availability. This level of visibility directly benefits the team by increasing accountability and saving hours of administrative coordination each week through automated notifications and data flows. Furthermore, the flexibility to switch between different views like Gantt charts or Kanban boards allows us to adapt to various project needs while maintaining a clear, structured way to track progress. Ultimately, Smartsheet provides a reliable solution that enhances organization, scales with our growing project complexity, and offers future opportunities for optimization through AI-driven predictive analysis

  ### 50. Clean, Intuitive, and Fast—Smartsheet Keeps Us Productive

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** kathy L. | Property manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like best about Smartsheet is how easy it is to use, especially compared to more complex project management tools. The interface is clean and intuitive, so it doesn’t take long to understand how to build sheets, set up workflows, or start tracking tasks.

Another strong point is how quickly it responds. Whether I’m updating rows, switching between sheets, or collaborating with others in real time, everything feels smooth and fast. That responsiveness makes it much easier to stay productive without delays or frustration.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

What I dislike about Smartsheet is that, while it’s very user-friendly at a basic level, some of the more advanced features can feel complicated or unintuitive. Things like building complex automations, formulas, or reports often take time to learn, and the learning curve can be steeper than expected for new users.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest problems it addresses is scattered communication and disconnected tools. Instead of using emails, spreadsheets, and separate apps to manage work, Smartsheet centralizes tasks, deadlines, files, and updates in one place. This makes it much easier to stay organized and reduces the risk of missing important information.
