What do you like best about Smartling?

What I value most is how well the translation memory holds up across long-running accounts — TM leverage on repeat strings saves real time on updates, and TMX export is reliable when I need to move segments into my own QA and glossary workflows. What do you dislike about Smartling?

The CAT editor can slow down noticeably on files with a high segment count, which becomes noticeable on larger enterprise projects. I've also run into cases where visual context wasn't available for certain strings, which meant translating without full context and having to go back and check against the live UI later for QA. Project switching sometimes loses context I'd already set up, which adds friction when juggling multiple clients in a day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before using Smartling, managing translation memory and terminology consistency across multiple enterprise clients meant more manual cross-referencing, inconsistent terminology and slower turnaround. With Smartling's TM leverage and locked glossary terms, I can maintain consistency across large volumes of UI strings and reduce terminology QA time without manually rechecking every string against a style guide. This has been especially useful when working across clients with different house styles, since the glossary and context notes keep the brand voice consistent without me having to hold every rule in my head.
