It can be run standalone or embedded as an App in Teams, and can be configured to use Microsoft 365 online storage space to hold documents. We have a site license and it was very easy to set up single sign on using SAML. **What do you dislike about SmartDraw?** We migrated most people onto SmartDraw, but there are some advanced features in Visio that SmartDraw doesn't have yet - one of our electrical design engineers tried to make SmartDraw work for him but felt it couldn't handle his circuit diagrams. **What problems is SmartDraw solving and how is that benefiting you?** We designed our internal network architecture and the arrangement of devices in server racks using SmartDraw. Being able to quickly select a linkage and highlight it is useful when we're making changes to network topology. ### 8. The problem that i continue to have is a bug where a doorway moves to a different spot in the wall when I save the file. So every time I bring the file up, I have to move the doorway back to its original location. **What problems is SmartDraw solving and how is that benefiting you?** I find it a good product for visualizing layouts and making alternative designs. The project rarely opens up and mostly gives a server timeout error message which forces to close the tab. 2)The interface when opened from a mobile device is restricted due to the menu bar taking most of the screen space. 3) A better option to resize the whole project would be easier. 4) The layout options are limited and should havr been more varieties to try on. If not the layout, at least fixtures or modern day to day amenities, cars, public facilities. From the first interaction with sales through our 2nd year with the CSM, they have always been open, honest, and available when we need assistance. SmartDraw has also generously offered training sessions to increase adoption and answer technical questions to improve utilization across my company. **What do you dislike about SmartDraw?** I wouldn't say this dislike is unique to SmartDraw, but being a web-based tool can sometimes be limiting compared to native desktop versions of design and charting software. The program is quite fun and eay to use, and allows for a consistently professional end-product to be created. Initially, being new to SD. I experienced several hinderances, but thanks to the patience and knowlede of a most wonderful customer support person, Ms. Vanessa Solis, I was professionally guided through the issues I was experiencing (not Smart Draw issues, but end-user issues), and now I am able to use SD with even more ease and proficiency - thanks indeed to Ms. Solis. It seems to me that Ms. Solis went above and beyond to assist me. She made a tiny video one day, and another day, she even set up a ZOOM tutorial event with me so that all of my issues could be addressed. I am very grateful to her for her kindness, patience and professionalism. SD is very fortunate to have a customer service rep of her caliber. The simple interface makes it very easy to use. I really like that you can make your own symbols and save it in a library for later use. Since i am from australia, some symbols might be different and i will need to draw my own symbols. The line snaps are also hard to use sometimes, the lines would snap to something else instead of the one i wanted to, and it is very hard to adjust. The aligning tool could be a bit more intellect and accurate. **What problems is SmartDraw solving and how is that benefiting you?** Solving the really expensive prices for other CAD softwares. Unless designing for machine 3d fab, this is all I need as a DESIGN ENGINEER. Do not need IT headaches or gliches in wiz bang software. I have about 60 hours of using this now and love it for its simplicity. Flexible on how information is displayed without locking my creative talents in an IT box. Does not penalize the user for experimenting. Customer support responded to me on a weekend and after hours - very nice. One click and application starts then one more click on my project and my design is right where I left it. Use this platform 4-6 times a day. Super simple to save as other file types to get images to others for review. I like to do my calcs on separate applications then paste completed tables into the Smart Draw project so do not want an integrated complicated application. My recommendation to Smart Draw developers is spend time creating objects that are useful to pluck and keep this platform SIMPLE like it is. **What do you dislike about SmartDraw?** No dislikes for what it is which is a simple platform for scale drawings for the common person needing a simple CAD application. As I mentioned earlier, we transitioned from using Microsoft Office for creating flowcharts, which wasn’t the most efficient tool for the task.
