The app was fairly intuitive and easy to use. Once you get the hang of it, you are able to move pretty quickly. The abilities to add symbols and icons, made it easy for me to figure out how to create not only building plans, but also the electrical and now starting to do the plumbing. I have had issues that when I add another layer, the items in previous layers will move. An example is that I labeled all of my equipment and then created the next layer. When I went back to the equipment, everything had moved up and I had to fix it again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Cost and ease of use and value are unbeatable! Was easy to integrate with our environment and was really easy to get other users on board once we assisted them. SmartDraw has many diagrams which is perfect for medium size business. We use it for standup meetings, flowcharting, org charts. etc

A few items I would like to see are having an indicator of showing the document is being saved and have a bit more templates such as calendars. Sometimes diagram freezes and data is lost. SmartDraw has a lot of templates and is easy to use, plus there are a lot of training videos so new users can get started quickly. It can be run standalone or embedded as an App in Teams, and can be configured to use Microsoft 365 online storage space to hold documents. We migrated most people onto SmartDraw, but there are some advanced features in Visio that SmartDraw doesn't have yet - one of our electrical design engineers tried to make SmartDraw work for him but felt it couldn't handle his circuit diagrams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
