We use smallest.ai for text-to-speech, and it’s been really helpful for Hindi, English, and other Indic languages. Its support for Indic languages is better than what I’ve found with many other TTS vendors. It’s easy to set up, and the documentation is simple, available, and helpful. I also like the snippets and examples for prompting a more natural voice, especially with pacing and punctuation. The pay-as-you-go model lets me pay for what I use without locking into a fixed amount, and it’s reasonably priced. The support is great, and the latency is amazing. I haven’t had great experiences with Kannada and Tamil, and I think those regional languages could be better.
