**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like best about Slack is how it simplifies team communication by bringing everything into one place. Channels make it easy to organize conversations by project or topic, and it reduces the need for long email threads.

I also like its strong integration capabilities with tools like Salesforce, Google Drive, and Jira, which helps keep work connected and transparent. Features like search, file sharing, and real-time messaging make collaboration faster and more efficient, especially for distributed teams.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One drawback of Slack is that it can become overwhelming if there are too many channels or high message volume, which can make it harder to keep track of important information. Notifications can also be distracting if not managed properly.

In addition, for some teams, important discussions can get buried in chat history, making it easy to miss key decisions unless there is strong discipline in how channels are organized and used.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

The most helpful feature for me is being able to create multiple channels with the colleagues I need. It makes it much easier to manage workflows and coordinate work across different areas, so everything feels more efficient and collaborative.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Switching to this from other platforms like Teams can feel pretty disorienting at first. On top of that, the notifications can be overwhelming or distracting, especially when they come through during deep work sessions or while I’m in meetings.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps me stay organized and handle prioritization issues when they come up. I can create to-do lists, share them when needed, and quickly reach anyone on my team, whether I’m at my computer or using my phone. Overall, Slack works very well for me.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is the gold standard for workplace communication. I’ve been using it for the past 10 years, and over that entire time it has stayed consistently reliable and dependable.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Honestly, I can’t think of anything I dislike. The only small issue I’ve noticed is that notifications I’ve already read sometimes stay marked as unread for a while, but it’s very minor.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

File sharing is good and works well for what I need. Huddles are great, especially when I want to jump into a quick conversation without a lot of setup. Group chats are also really useful, and Slack Connect is awesome for staying connected and collaborating with people outside my team.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about Slack is how easy it makes quick collaboration through Huddles, they feel much lighter and faster than scheduling meetings. The AI thread summaries are also really useful for catching up on long conversations without reading every message, especially across busy channels.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One thing I dislike about Slack is that presence and notification controls can feel inconsistent. Sometimes changing your status to Active/Away or fully turning off notifications isn’t as or reliable as it should be, which can make it harder to properly disconnect or manage focus time.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It is user friendly, easy to understand once used for a week to know what is difference between channels and groups.
We can integrate our project management tools so that if any task is ready to work on or gets completed, a channel / specific person would get the message. It has never hanged, it is always a smooth experience.
Slack is available free for individual users who get connected to particular enterprises. We can connect with multiple enterprises on slack. Onboarding is smooth like just accept the invite and join. AI feature like AI bot is Slackbot who helps respond to set questions automatically when someone sends message about set things.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The notification schedule asks to enter start and end while I just want to keep it 24 by 7, I don't have that option.
There should be various themes to select from for background.
It should have whatsapp / text message integration added sooner.
Performance is smooth as I said. Pricing is something that enterprise level need to think about. Onboarding is already smooth. AI bot can help identify spam messages to improve channel interactions.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User interface helps to connect with right people and go to right channel to speak about. Integrations helps to boost performance of the device being used by not needing to move to other apps. Pricing is something enterprise will think about. Onboarding in the 2-3 steps is the best time saving and starting to work, AI bot does respond in time and immediately online chat gpt or so.

What I liked most about Slack was being able to access the tasks my coach posted, along with how easy it was to communicate with other coaches and learners throughout the process. The constant notifications also helped me keep up with messages, so I could come back to any missed conversations later at my leisure.

Honestly, I didn’t dislike anything about Slack.

It helps solve communication issues across an entire group or organization. The biggest benefit for me has been being able to stay in touch and keep up to date with what’s going on.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I have been using Slack for my team communication for years now. It has a very friendly and fresh UI, and the UX is pretty easy, which can be easily learnt by anyone. Channels are a great strength of Slack, which keeps everybody well connected, both for remote and office set-up work. 

I have literally integrated most of my tools with Slack for easy tracking and notifications, like Google Drive, Google Calendar, Jira, Notion, Zoom, and the list goes on. The Performance is pretty good, no lag, and quite fast for huddles and conversations. I have never come across any troubleshooting problems with Slack, which has led me to reach out to the support team, but I strongly believe Slack would be amazing there.

The AI is not used much, but I will try for sure. Unlike email chains that get buried, Slack makes conversations searchable and contextual.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The biggest challenge with Slack is information overload. In very active workspaces with multiple channels, notifications can become overwhelming if they are not managed properly. People kind of start creating channels for everything and everyone.

Recently, I have noticed minor issues in Huddle screen sharing where the entire screen gets blacked out, then I have to restart again the huddle to get it fixed.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some amazing things that I rely on Slack for are:

Custom emojis and reactions that keep interactions engaging
Scheduled messages
Reminders and save for later message options. 
Workflow automations

Apart from this, its more like a must have tool for the worksplace, everything happens there.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is a much easier way to keep in communication with your team members. I enjoy that there is the option for private and group chats as well as channels. The platform makes it easy to send out mass messages to the entire team as well as personal or smaller group chats to stay connected through the day. I love that Slack has the ability to huddle other members as well as to be able to screen share to help explain processes.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

What I dislike about Slack is that messages are removed after 90 days, which makes it difficult when I’m trying to look back and remember something that was sent before that cutoff. Another downside is that you can’t huddle as a group; only 1:1 calls work.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack has made quick communication much easier for our teams. Before, we often relied on sending emails and then waiting for a response. With this platform, we can reach each other faster and keep conversations moving without the usual delays.

Slack is good for its integrations. Overall, it is very easy to use. It is fast in terms of telling me what to do. However, the AI features may not be the best in terms of supporting me to understand what's going on. For support, I'm not sure if that actually really helps, because if there is a question, I actually have to ask my IT admins in the company instead of asking Slack.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I really don't think the AI stuff is working at all. It does not summarize sufficiently about what I need to know per channel. There should be an AI for me to help me organize information into different categories or folders related to different projects or topics. For save for future or later functions, I think numbering everything into one single part doesn't make sense at all. Again, I need categories in order to find information as soon as possible instead of scrolling back and forth.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provide instant messaging, super easy to integrate with different devices as well as other software. I don't know about a price because I'm not the one who actually pays for that. But for onboarding and support, I think it may not be the best in terms of supporting the users. However, it is easy to use, so it is not that bad.

Sometimes Slackbot doesn't always work as expected or do the things you want it to do. The pricing for larger teams can add up quickly if you need more features.

Honestly, the channel organization is what keeps me coming back. Being able to separate conversations by project or team means I'm not drowning in a single chat thread. The search functionality is also surprisingly solid — I can dig up messages from months ago pretty easily. Integrations with tools like GitHub and Jira have saved me a ton of context-switching throughout the day.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The notification system can get overwhelming pretty fast, especially in larger workspaces. I find myself constantly tweaking do-not-disturb settings just to stay focused. Also, the free plan's message history limit is a real pain when you're trying to reference older conversations. Performance can also drag a bit on older machines — it's a bit of a memory hog compared to what you'd expect from a chat app.

Before using Slack, our team relied on email chains for nearly everything, which made quick back-and-forth conversations really cumbersome. Slack basically replaced that entirely for day-to-day communication. We've cut down on unnecessary meetings because we can resolve things quickly in a thread. The ability to create dedicated channels for specific features or sprints has made our dev workflow a lot more transparent and everyone stays in the loop without having to chase people down.

As the HR Manager at Axiom Logistics Solutions, my primary focus is on our people and the efficiency of our internal operations. Our company operates in a fast-paced environment where clear, instant communication isn't just a nice-to-have; it’s essential for getting products where they need to be on time. For a long time, our teams were relying on a messy combination of long email threads and basic SMS text chains, which led to information getting lost and critical updates being missed. Implementing Slack was a strategic move to bring some much-needed order to that chaos.
What I Liked most about Slack is its ability to create a single source of truth for different types of communication. We’ve set up dedicated channels for each of our warehouse locations, which has been a game-changer. Instead of emailing back and forth, a warehouse manager can post an immediate update about a shipment delay in the specific channel, and the relevant sales and logistics coordinators see it instantly. The search functionality is also incredibly robust; being able to quickly find a message about a specific invoice from weeks ago saves us hours of frustration. It’s intuitive enough that our team, which includes a mix of desk-based and field personnel, picked it up with very little training.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

However, it hasn't been without its challenges. What I Disliked, or rather, what has been difficult to manage, is the potential for it to become overwhelming.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At Axiom, the core problem we faced was a lack of visibility across our logistics chain. Information was trapped in individual inboxes. Slack is solving this by providing a transparent platform where everyone who needs to know can see what’s happening in real-time. This transparency is directly benefiting our entire operation. For example, when our HR team posts new safety protocols in the #company-announcements channel, we can see who has read it. When the ops team has a sudden driver shortage, they can post in a channel and get immediate feedback on availability. It’s breaking down silos between departments and ensuring that our logistics solutions are communicated quickly and accurately, ultimately making our entire workflow more cohesive and responsive.

Easiest way to communicate with your team. Channels help divide up topics and the built in features for video and audio hugely help remote workers communicate effectively. Transcriptions make a big difference on the audio and you can set playback speed for videos. Huge App ecosystem so you can customise it as needed and their new workflows add much needed automation.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Their desktop app can be laggy for workspaces with a lot of channels and content. If you have a lot of mentions it can be difficult to keep track of them all despite the features they provide to try and effectively combat this and to know what really needs your attention.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication with a fully remote team across timezones. Project planning, organisation and tracking. Daily accountability and check ins. We also use it as a company wide communication tool using built in features that post automated updates to channels for events such as new release, alerts, monitoring and support.

I use Slack to communicate with my team about current priorities, new roles, projects, and more. It's really efficient because all of us are remote, and we can have everything in one spot. It's super simple to set up and use; you invite people and bingo, now you all have a place to chat. The direct messaging is clean and easy to use, and the individual channels set up for each search are perfect for asking specific questions and updating job-specific details. I love the simplicity of Slack, which keeps us organized without being overwhelming. Setting it up is basically idiot-proof, and I did it without any issues. Slack is a 10 out of 10 for being an easy way to keep communication organized for a team, and you can organize things by person or topic/search.

Some of the more advanced setup or design instructions should be easier to find, or just more intuitive. There are some things I'd like to change but I have very short windows to do that kind of admin and I usually haven't found the instructions or options I need before I'm pulled onto a call or into a new meeting.

Slack does a great job of keeping communication organised and clear across mulitple facets of work and teams. It has great integrations with other platforms, fun interactive features like gyphs, polls and custom emojis which bring a bit of fun into the workplace

I think like any communication tool, it isnt a project management tool. So information can get lost if you are relying on it for project management. If you keep in the lane of communication holistically it performs well, as soon as you start sharing to many documents and such it loses its power in my opinion and becomes overwhelming.

It reduces the needs for long email threads, and enable faster more direct converations that speeds up decision making. It also provides greater visibility for everyone that needs to know instead of someone emailing and forgetting reply all. It helps in our global ascyncronise work with engineers making our app

I like Slack for its ability to set up dedicated channels for certain topics, which helps keep communications related to that topic in one place. You can add people to the channel, use commands like @channel to notify everyone, and pin key information for easy access. Slack being integrated into our calendar to notify me of upcoming meetings is really helpful. The general ease of use is great once you're clued up on the basics. I also like the ability to feed in HubSpot workflows into Slack notifications in channels and the ability to add custom emojis.

I think my main issues are to do with huddles where often my camera, audio, or screen share won’t work.

I love the ability to have threads and huddles in Slack. This makes collaboration so much easier and cleaner, preventing messy channels. Huddles allow the team to quickly call each other, add others to calls, and share screens swiftly. Threads keep things organized by allowing us to define a thread subject and maintain a single thread for it. Additionally, Slack was pretty easy to set up as all we had to do was log in and select our usernames. We also have Slack integrated with a few tools like Linear, Claude, and GitHub.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I would love the ability to show my cursor on screen share to show people where to navigate and make it easier for people to follow me or direct them on what to do.

I use Slack for internal communication and customer collaboration. Huddles and threads make collaboration cleaner and easier, helping maintain relationships and keeping channels organized.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I am using Slack for communication and integration with Salesforce. Some people aren’t familiar with the Salesforce UI, but since they use Slack more, our integration handles that well. It also solves the app-switching problem for me. I can schedule video calls that have good quality. I like the easy setup process too.

Slack has been a really great communication tool in my experience, especially compared to other apps in the market. It’s very flexible and handles large group channels smoothly. I particularly like the channel threads they help keep different topics organized so conversations don’t get confusing.

Starting a group chat is also quick and easy; you can simply find people and begin chatting right away. The status feature is another thing I appreciate, setting away or other statuses is fast and very user-friendly. Overall, Slack feels simple to use while still being powerful for team collaboration.Huddles are also very useful because we can quickly start a call or small meeting without scheduling.

One thing I don’t like is the notification behavior. If a notification is received on my mobile app while I’m working on the desktop, I sometimes don’t get the same notification on the desktop. Because of this, I occasionally miss some messages.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I really find Slack to be great for communication with my remote colleagues. I think it's helpful that I can chat instantly without having to wait for hours like with emails. Slack lets me talk professionally if needed, but also provides a space to laugh and have more informal conversations. I appreciate that I can share big pictures, emojis, and GIFs easily, and the tagging system makes it simple to get people's attention or notify a whole channel if necessary. I also like how easy it is to create channels and group discussions. Overall, the setup was quite easy, actually really easy, and it's scaled with us from when we were less than 10 people to now more than 300. It’s great, and I can't think of anything that needs improving. I'd definitely recommend it to a friend or colleague.

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like best about Slack is how easy it is to use and how naturally it fits into our daily workflows. We use it heavily across the organization for almost all internal communication, so it has become the central place where teams stay aligned.

From a product management perspective, it is especially useful because it makes cross-functional collaboration much faster. I can quickly coordinate with engineering, design, support, sales, and customer-facing teams without needing to set up a meeting for every small topic.

Channels also make it easier to keep conversations organized by team, project, customer topic, or initiative. This helps create visibility across the organization and gives people the ability to follow relevant discussions without being directly involved in every conversation.

I also like that Slack works well for both quick async updates and more detailed discussions. It helps reduce email overhead, speeds up decision-making, and makes it easier to share context, links, documents, and updates in one place.

We also integrate Slack with several other tools we use, from AI assistants to Notion and other operational systems, which makes it even more useful as a central communication and notification hub.

Performance has also been great for us. Even though we use Slack heavily across the organization, it remains fast and reliable. Support has also been very responsive whenever we needed help.

Slack helps us centralize internal communication and makes it much easier for teams to stay aligned across the organization.

The main problem it solves for us is reducing fragmented communication. Instead of relying on email, scattered tools, or unnecessary meetings, Slack gives us one place for quick updates, project discussions, cross-functional collaboration, and company-wide communication.

From a product management perspective, this is especially valuable because I work with many different teams, including engineering, design, support, sales, and customer-facing teams. Slack makes it easy to quickly ask questions, share context, discuss customer feedback, coordinate priorities, and unblock decisions without needing to schedule a meeting every time.

It also benefits us through integrations. We connect Slack with several other tools, from AI assistants to Notion and other operational systems, so important updates and notifications can flow into the channels where people are already working.

Overall, Slack helps us move faster, reduce communication overhead, improve visibility across teams, and keep important work and discussions easier to follow.

I use Slack on a daily basis to manage and run my team work, and the whole company discussions are running under Slack. Slack solves communication issues and helps me to set up workflow automation to manage my team more efficiently. I like that I can set up workflows, connect integrations into Slack, and act fast. I set up automations and processes to approve GitHub reviews, onboard new services, and manage Jira tickets. On top of that, Slack AI is a game changer that helps me summarize and manage my tasks better. The initial setup of Slack for our team was super easy; we were able to spin it up in 5 minutes.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I can't mark as read messages from specific app or person, which is an issue because we have an automation running daily that tags me in threads. To remove them from the 'activity' tab, I need to go over them one by one.

Probably one of two reasons.

It cost less than Teams, and don’t ask me I have no idea with this is true.

It provides better tracking of employees. Spying on you to make sure people are actually working. Again just speculation no idea if it does or not

Slack is the only option because other tech companies in the West use it. The SLT doesn’t want to appear outdated, even though there’s no justification for it. They’re just making a decision to justify their exorbitant salaries.

It'd be nice for the people using it as a collaborative work environment, but Teams is still the choice for meetings, and I like being able to have my meetings, chat, and calendar all integrated. Plus it's nice having the ability to message non GM suppliers who also use teams. Saves a ton of unnecessary phone calls

I use Slack primarily for academic purposes in college, mainly for communication and coursework. Slack helps streamline communication between students and instructors by keeping announcements, study materials, and discussions organized in a single place for easier access. I find it very convenient to use, and the different channels for subjects, projects, and announcements make it easy to find important information quickly. It was fairly easy to set up since joining the workspace and channels was straightforward.

One thing that could be improved is notification management. Important messages can sometimes get buried under frequent updates from multiple channels. The interface can also feel a bit overwhelming at times when there are too many active conversations going on.

I use Slack for team chats, sharing information, calls, and it's particularly great for our remote-first company. I like that it's online and offers real-time communication which is essential since there's not much face-to-face interaction. I can message someone and get an instant response if they're online. I appreciate features like calling, texting, file sharing, and screen sharing which allow us to communicate quickly and easily without needing to send an email or make a phone call. Plus, the initial setup was easy—just add members and permissions, and you're ready to go. It's also nice that Slack connects to Google Drive, Jira, Confluence, and Polly, making it a centralized hub for our communication and work needs.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes the call connection isn't so good, and we have to revert to Google Meets. It drops out or there are issues with the sound/quality. Just can't connect sometimes, even if you turn the video, screen function off.

Slack helps us communicate quickly and easily as a remote-first company, allowing instant messaging and calls without leaving my location. I can see who's online, share documents, and conduct real-time discussions seamlessly.
