What do you like best about Slack?

I find it quite easy to maintain communication on Slack since everything is neatly organized. The use of channels allows one to separate different discussions depending on what they are about, while direct messaging is more convenient to use when there is a need for instant communication. What do you dislike about Slack?

At times, I have found Slack overwhelming due to too many channels and many notifications. Essential messages tend to be lost amidst all the chatter, making it difficult to trace them quickly. Another issue that I see with Slack is that it may take time to figure out how to manage notifications and organize channels for a new user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Slack to centralize all my conversation and updates in one location. I feel that it is useful for file sharing, posing inquiries, and connecting with others in my team. The channels allow me to stay updated on different subjects without the clutter. Another benefit of using Slack is the ability to look back at past messages in order to retrieve any relevant data.
