It's easy to use and very versatile allowing us to integrate new ways of processing parts or design in general. Have never had an issue with getting in touch with customer or tech support and they have promptly assisted us quickly. Considering we use this everyday it has been a quick learning curve for new programmers making it not only easy to integrate but as well as implement new standard practices for our business. **What do you dislike about SigmaNEST?** Cost is slightly higher but there's truly no substitute so well worth the cost. **What problems is SigmaNEST solving and how is that benefiting you?** Quickly generating dimensional parts for internal and external use, along with post processing for our actual CNC machines. ### 2. I suggest you use the sigma nest software which will help in providing more accurate estimation and also reduces the scrap being generated during the time of cutting operation. **What problems is SigmaNEST solving and how is that benefiting you?** Am using this software primarily to calculate the raw material cost which provides me the accuracy in my estimation. ### 3. They use the problems to update their software and periodically they will put out a new version. **What do you dislike about SigmaNEST?** Sometimes the new version (changes) don’t apply to the work I do and I have to learn the changes to keep up with the software. **What problems is SigmaNEST solving and how is that benefiting you?** There is a command called “Old / New Move”. With this I can stack new parts sent by customers on top of old parts to verify any changes. ### 4. The feature on the left of your screen makes it easy to gather simple information about items in the workspace. The part details tab is also a very good feature in the program. I find myself on the phone answering questions about simple dimension questions for my customers. Inside Diameter, Outside Diameter, Length, Etc. **What do you dislike about SigmaNEST?** I really dislike how hard it is to navigate around the panels. There is so many ways of navigating around and getting to the same function. It gets overwhelming at times. Material costing when you bring in a job is usually off. I find myself doing mental math on a lot of the quotes I do when it comes to the material required for a job. The program sometime glitches out and we have to restart it in the middle of a quote or project. The compatibility with SigmaNest and SigmaMRP is my biggest issue with the program. **Recommendations to others considering SigmaNEST:** I would recommend taking a class or looking a few tutorials before really jumping in to the program. **What problems is SigmaNEST solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sigmanest shows me how to work quote jobs and charge for them in a affective manner. It helps me plan for material usage and scrap usage as well. I have learned to poke around and make this program work to my advantage. For not having used this program in the past, if you poke around, you can easily find your way. ### 6. They were also willing to work with us on on site training as well as remote to address urgent customer issues. **What do you dislike about SigmaNEST?** Costs are higher than competition at similar service levels but worth the price. Sigmanest does like to keep users on updated versions of it's software for best support; this was a challenge for our business as it posed a risk during upgrade windows where custom integrations made needed to be watched closely. Overall, Sigmanest has been a great partner who is well worth their cost. **Recommendations to others considering SigmaNEST:** Be clear on requirements and be sure to leverage Sigmanest ability to integrate automation solutions, like automated work order loading, inventory management (new and/drops), and technical support/post development. I've been in a position for my company to regularly and objectively review our continued use of this software. The key thing I would share is how this company supports it's customers. I've regularly called them with urgent, line down issues, where I got solutions same day. This is hard to put a value to but is key to partner with a supplier who will be there when you need them. **What problems is SigmaNEST solving and how is that benefiting you?** Automated work order population, integration with new machine controllers. Sigmanest has brought Millions of dollars of value (annually) in increased material utilization with incremental man power reduction through process automation. Post processing development was also great to improve lead in/outs, stitch and common line cutting, as well as several custom programs to pilot advanced, lean manufacturing techniques to further improve costs and process times. ### 8. We used custom script to move profiles from FastCam to Sigmanest and custom scheduler to manage work orders. **What do you dislike about SigmaNEST?** nothing to dislike - a great software, does mostly everything profiling business needs a little bit pricey, but it saves a lot of time and material with its automatic nests The initial configuration and training takes some time, but once up and running, creating nests and managing work orders are fast. **Recommendations to others considering SigmaNEST:** Sigmanest provides a trial - definitely try it before committing to it. **What problems is SigmaNEST solving and how is that benefiting you?** Saves time, reduce waste, and manage work orders Automatic nests functionality - works very well, eliminating user errors and saving time. ### 9. Productivity is much higher using Sigmanest than say fast cam or prime cut **What do you dislike about SigmaNEST?** It is a bit quirky at times, like the smart dimensioning doesn't work at angle selections or vice versa. The bump option in nesting should turn off intuitively when the user is trying to place a part in the nest. Same named parts being omitted without warning is also another issue. **Recommendations to others considering SigmaNEST:** Get the latest versions as soon as they get out, and keep the modules simple and small to fit your needs **What problems is SigmaNEST solving and how is that benefiting you?** Efficiency in nesting - saves the business real $$.
