## Shortcut Reviews
 ### 1. Shortcut: Streamlines Project Management with Intuitive Design & Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric K. | VP, Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Shortcut?**

I think the design of Shortcut is really solid. It really balances complexity with simplicity. I've used other project management tools before that had too many bells and whistles getting in the way, but everything in Shortcut is used efficiently. It's got a really smooth UI and UX, making it pretty easy to find stuff, and it's also visually appealing with a dark mode. I've integrated Shortcut heavily with GitHub, and I find the MCP server really helpful, especially because it allows integration with Claude and has write access, which is important for my work.

**What do you dislike about Shortcut?**

I think some of the search features could be improved right now. It's kind of like other platforms where you're using colon notation. I would have liked a more advanced search flow that has UI elements that let you set those things rather than trying to reference their docs on how to add a particular argument in their advanced story search.

**What problems is Shortcut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Shortcut to manage and track our sprints, keep my engineering team in sync, and analyze our velocity and workflows. It breaks down large projects into manageable units, making it easier to track work in an agile way and provide team updates.

 ### 2. Efficient and Agile-Friendly Project Management Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shihan S. | Program Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Shortcut?**

What I like best about Shortcut is its clean, intuitive interface combined with strong agile-friendly features. It makes managing software projects simple and efficient, with Kanban boards, sprint planning that help teams stay aligned without unnecessary complexity. Integrations with tools like Slack and GitHub further streamline workflows.

**What do you dislike about Shortcut?**

What I dislike about Shortcut is that, while it’s easy to use, it lacks some of the advanced features and depth found in more established tools like Jira. Reporting options and custom search functionalities are limited, Also sometime it takes while to load which tells me about scaling related matters.

**What problems is Shortcut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shortcut solves the problem of managing software development projects efficiently by providing a streamlined, agile-focused platform. It helps teams plan sprints, track progress, and collaborate in real-time, reducing miscommunication and project delays. For me, this means faster decision-making, better team alignment, and a clearer overview of project status, allowing us to deliver software more smoothly and on schedule.

 ### 3. Revolutionized Project Management with Intuitive UI and Powerful Automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** BJ W. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Shortcut?**

Shortcut has completely transformed the way we handle complex projects. I really appreciate the hierarchy of Milestones, Epics, Stories, and Tasks—it provides our team with a clear structure while remaining flexible enough to support agile workflows. The built-in features for product sizing and managing dependencies help us stay organized without introducing unnecessary complications.

The user interface and overall experience are among the best I’ve encountered for managing highly complex projects. It’s fast, intuitive, and genuinely enjoyable to use.

With the integration of Korey.ai, it truly feels like we’re experiencing the future of product management. This addition has brought a remarkable level of automation and organization, saving us hours and ensuring everything remains consistent. I couldn’t be more satisfied.

**What do you dislike about Shortcut?**

Nothing, I love all of it. They are very responsive and building new features all the time.

**What problems is Shortcut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shortcut has been instrumental in helping us manage complex product development, from overarching strategy all the way to execution. It addresses the confusion that often arises with multiple projects, cross-team dependencies, and changing priorities. The clear hierarchy of Milestones, Epics, Stories, and Tasks provides us with full visibility and ensures everyone is aligned.

Planning, tracking, and communicating progress have all become significantly easier, saving us hours each week. The integration of Korey.ai has been especially valuable—it automates the creation, sizing, and description of stories, allowing our team to concentrate on building rather than administrative tasks.

 ### 4. Effortless Organization and Collaboration with Shortcut

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anant T. | Lead Solution Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Shortcut?**

The reporting and roadmap views provide better visibility into progress and priorities, helping the team stay aligned.

**What do you dislike about Shortcut?**

Expanding customization options and reducing the need for occasional workarounds would also be helpful.

**What problems is Shortcut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shortcut helps us streamline work management by keeping planning and execution in one place. It also improves visibility into priorities and progress, reduces coordination overhead, and helps the team stay aligned, resulting in more efficient and predictable delivery.

 ### 5. Feature-Rich and Customizable, but Buggy and Cluttered to Navigate

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Shortcut?**

Rich with features and very customizable

**What do you dislike about Shortcut?**

Interface is buggy at times, lots of cluttered menus and some layouts or features are not intuitive even for an experienced and technical user

**What problems is Shortcut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

product management oversight for information technology engineering team

 ### 6. Effortless Onboarding, But Reporting Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Shortcut?**

It has a very simple layout, as a product/project manager it's so easy to onboard new members of my team. Other tools like JIRA are so complex to use that they would need specific training.

**What do you dislike about Shortcut?**

The reports page can be further refined to have more reports, i want to know how long are folks spending on the different states of a story.

**What problems is Shortcut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For my team, shortcut is helping to keep our entire team focused on the same project. I'm able to easily track how well we're doing on completing our projects. I can easily export the product roadmap for executive leadership and for the team, i'm able to tie our Objectives to feature releases.

 ### 7. Kanban View and Easy Navigation Make Implementation a Breeze

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ragul J. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Shortcut?**

kanban view, Easy navigations, Ease of implementation

**What do you dislike about Shortcut?**

Configuring custom tools like gocd for deployment relavant configs

**What problems is Shortcut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Product management and Status updates made simpler

 ### 8. Keeps Cross-Functional Teams in Sync Across Projects

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Shortcut?**

It allowed our team to be in sync across projects run by developers, designers, product team, and the client success team. We used it daily as a source of truth for where we're at with the progress on tasks.

**What do you dislike about Shortcut?**

It was more difficult to get up to speed; there's a learning curve that can put off non-technical staff.

**What problems is Shortcut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All issues, projects, and new aspects of product development were tracked in the same place.

 ### 9. B2B SaaS Development: Essential Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter W. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Shortcut?**

The ease of creating a story and management thereof. Including the shareability.

**What do you dislike about Shortcut?**

Moving stories from one status to another. Would be good to have a warning that a story has been idle for too long with out attention (past its due date, for example), or that its status needs may need to be updated). And, if you could update the status by checking a box to place it in the proper column, that may be helpful.

**What problems is Shortcut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its the dumping ground for stories, and they need a place to live/die. Would be good if Shortcut had a calendar feature that allowed for scheduling a standup with the personas associated with the Story, and then you could put that on a schedule. Generally, its confidence builder that the ideation gets captured. Just requires too much manual investigation to determine what needs to be worked on.

 ### 10. Our transition from Pivotal Tracker to Shortcut was super simple!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon C. | Team Lead & Sr. Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Shortcut?**

Our team were long time users of Pivotal Tracker (> 10 years). With their announcment to close down, we started looking for replacements. Shortcut was one of the top 3 we looked into. Ultimately, Shortcut's customization, modern look, and the phenomenal team behind it all was the driving factor which made our decision easy.

We were able to import all of our legacy story data from Pivotal Tracker. In total over 14,000 stories, including comments and screenshots were imported into Shortcut. After the import, our team has had an easy time picking up and using Shortcut. Everyone is impressed by the things we can do from story management to reporting. We even have users on our team who refused to use Pivotal Tracker signed up and using Shortcut because of how much better it is!

Overall I highly recommend Shortcut to any team, big or small, looking for a project management tool!

**What do you dislike about Shortcut?**

On an overall basis? NOTHING! If I had to pick something, then I would say we are currently in need of some different types of reporting. Less reporting that shows TIME spent on completing stories and more reporting which shows the WHAT has a owner or team spent their time completing across epics, etc. This is something we are able to accomplish right now ourselves because of the extensive search and export functionality built into Shortcut, BUT we have also communicated this need to the Shortcut team, and they are already taking our feedback into account for a future change!

**What problems is Shortcut solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shortcut is helping us to identify and prioritize work within our product, and present to stakeholders what we have been doing and what our projected work looks like. In addition, Shortcut also gives our team a collaborative toolset to combine all of our work into one please. Our analysts and product owners can spec out new features using the built in spec documents, our engineers and DBA's can write code and queries based on the specs, and our QA team can test everything, noting any bugs or issues. From start to finish, every member of our team has a place to log their work and feedback in Shortcut.
