While working in the tooling department, we were always struggling with misplacing tools and stockouts, since implementing ShopXpert Vending system that wasn't an issue anymore. Every tool is in its specific spot in the cabinets accessible only with employee badges. We know at any time who took what tool, and if they placed it back or not. It's great!
