What do you like best about ShiftCare?

Streamlined Scheduling Across Campus: Support for our students spans dormitories, classrooms, dining facilities, and campus job sites. Managing over 30 staff members used to be a complex manual task. ShiftCare’s scheduling tools are intuitive and have drastically cut down our planning time compared to previous software.

Intuitive Mobile App for Support Staff: Staff can easily claim shifts, clock in and out, and view previous progress notes before starting a shift. This pre-shift context ensures smooth handoffs between daytime support staff and evening resident mentors.

AI Coach & Progress Notes: The built-in AI progress note guidance helps staff write clear, structured notes efficiently. This supports leadership staff but also helps students workers improve their communication skills.

Time-Saving AI Summaries: Compiling student progress reports for families used to take an entire day or more of manually pulling notes. With AI Client Summaries, generating accurate, comprehensive updates for parents and guardians now takes just an afternoon.

Care Signals Feature: ShiftCare's real-time "Care Signals" risk-detection system is truly life-changing. Staff can immediately flag incidents, behavioral changes, or wellness concerns across campus, giving leadership instant visibility into student safety at any given moment.

Student Empowerment via Family Portal: The portal has significantly reduced anxiety for our students. Being able to log in, see their daily schedule, and know exactly which support staff member will be working with them gives them confidence and peace of mind.

Product Support: The built in AI support very often is all that is needed when questions arise. When more assistance is required, we've never waited more than 30 minutes for a staff member to respond.

What do you dislike about ShiftCare?

Dedicated Family Portal Mobile App: We strongly hope to see a standalone mobile app for the Family Portal. Navigating the web interface on mobile devices can be challenging for our students.

Deeper Google Ecosystem Integrations: We would love to see native, built-in integrations with Google products - specifically direct syncing with Google Calendar for student schedules and deeper Google AI compatibility. 1. Complex Staff Coordination Across Campus

Problem: Scheduling and managing more than 30 support staff across dorms, classrooms, dining halls, and campus job sites was a time-consuming administrative burden.

Benefit: ShiftCare’s scheduling tools drastically cut down administrative planning time. Staff can easily claim shifts, clock in/out, and manage their schedules directly from the mobile app.

Problem: Important student context often got lost during shift transitions between daytime academic support staff and evening resident mentors.
