I like that it's desktop install based & not web based & I can add accounts super quickly. **What do you dislike about Shift?** Occasionally, Shift logs me out of some accounts and I have to go through the re-verification process, which can be a little frustrating—especially when I’m in the middle of work. But honestly, it’s a small inconvenience compared to how much time and mental energy it saves me overall. **What problems is Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?** Shift solves the constant hassle of switching between multiple email accounts, apps, and browser tabs. Before Shift, I was wasting time juggling logins and a bunch of browser tabs especially for gmail. I appreciate the "unread" icons that let me know at a glance what needs my attention. It's easy to switch back and forth among the various email accounts I manage, as well as use integrated apps like Google Suite, Spotify, and Amazon. I like that I can navigate to everything in one window without cluttering my screens. I use Shift every day in work life, and have for several years. I am willing to continue to subscribe to Shift because it's easy to use and I see an improvement in productivity when I use it. It's easy to install (and uninstall) apps when getting started, and I like that I stay signed in across all of my accounts. I am required to re-authenticate my log-in credentials periodically, but it's not often enough to be burdensome. **What do you dislike about Shift?** Using apps within Shift takes some getting used to, and if you prefer to work on several different Google Docs at one time, you probably don't want to install the Docs app, as the app limits you to one open document at a time. It's nice to have quick shortcuts to Google Suite products and other apps (Spotify, Pinterest, Amazon). Installing the app means I can quickly navigate to my most-recent documents using the icon (vs a tab). My complaint is that it's only the most recent document. I'd love to be able to "pin" one more documents to the app icon, so those documents that I use and reference every day are always available, without having to navigate back to Google Drive or other subfolders to find what I need. **What problems is Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?** I manage mulitple email and social media accounts in my job, and Shift helps me keep everything organized and in one place. I'm able to sort the apps I've installed based on the email account I use with them, so for our organization's generic email account, I can keep that account and Slack open in one place. For my personal work email account, I keep all of my Google Suite products, as well as the browser windows that I use daily in one place. The fact that I can always have my email ready to go by clicking the icon is awesome (instead of it being another tab on a regular browser). The nice thing about the layout is that even when I am on my gmail, I can use the URL above to search, or save tabs associated with that email. I use it every single day because I can keep it open and it always keep me logged in, which is easy. It has been the only browser that I have found so far that can manage to keep everything open and organized. I am SO happy I don't constantly have to relog into 3 different google drives. Very easy to integrate with google suite, canva, etc. **What do you dislike about Shift?** I spent like 4 months building up my library of bookmarks and then shift had an update which made me lose all of my bookmarks. That was awful... thankfully I built all of my folders and saved pages back up. My BIGGEST ANNOYANCE is that for some reason when you open a doc of some sort on the Gmail suite, it techincally opens it using the drive widget, so when you clikc out of it, it DOESNT stay on the page.. it goes back to the generic drive page. So then I have to constantly click "open in new tab", because otherwise when I toggle out of the calendar or out of the drive, it loses the document that was open. I also wish somehow it could just use the apple passwords.. instead of my having to save all my passwords yet again. **What problems is Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeping ALL my stuff open at all times. CLikc of a button and I can be in any email. Much faster to clikc on those icons. Even faster than Mail app from apple. That meant having so many open tabs in Chrome and google getting all of the access mixed up. I used to use incognito windows just to keep them separated. Now, with Shift, I have all of these accounts in one place, and each one has its own individual login. Saved me 100's of hours of work. I highly recommend if you have to manage more than 2 in-boxes. **What do you dislike about Shift?** Sometimes, the app has minor glitches. But it is rare and mainly happened with earlier versions. New versions seem very stable. **What problems is Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have to manage 10 accounts and you cannot do that properly in Chrome. I prefer to link out to my browser. **What problems is Shift solving and how is that benefiting you?** Google's ecosystem likes to split workspaces by email address, which works for some people.
